HxH : Pokemon Master-Chapter 52: Akira Becomes Famous!
Chapter 52 - Akira Becomes Famous!
Pyon didn't have to wait long before the reinforcements, led by Botobai and his "transportation method," arrived at the Moros Ruins.
Seeing Pyon standing alone outside, Botobai thick eyebrows furrowed, and countless ominous thoughts flashed through his mind. In his view, it was likely that he had arrived too late, and the two who had accompanied Pyon had already met their demise.
The Seven Deadly Sins, not wanting to provoke the Association—or more precisely, the Chairman—had chosen not to harm Pyon!
Botobai reasoning was quite logical.
If it weren't for Akira, the two would indeed have likely perished.
But sometimes fate works in mysterious ways. If Akira hadn't been present, Satotz and Pyon wouldn't have been able to pass through the death aura to reach the chamber. Without Akira astonishing ability to dispel the death aura, the three of them wouldn't have been targeted by the Wrath and Envy of the Seven Deadly Sins.
In all likelihood, Satotz and Pyon would have simply conducted a brief investigation and then returned to the Association to report, avoiding this heart-pounding experience altogether.
Noticing the change in Botobai expression, Pyon quickly explained, recounting everything that had just happened.
...
Only after Pyon had relayed the entire story did Botobai realize that the crisis had already been resolved. The targets of his mission had already been dealt with by someone else, and he also noticed that the death aura in the Moros Ruins had completely vanished.
As if it had never existed! Now he finally understood where the sudden and then suppressed aura he had sensed in the sky earlier had come from. It was clearly released by Akira Nen beast!
Although it was somewhat hard to believe, Pyon had no reason to lie to him, and upon entering the depths of the Moros Ruins, he saw the aftermath of an extremely fierce battle.
Craters were everywhere, and the ground was covered in yellow sand, completely out of place in the Moros Ruins...
All of this proved that Pyon account was entirely true.
After a difficult identification process, he finally confirmed that the deceased were indeed Wrath and Envy from the Seven Deadly Sins.
After some discussion, all the credit was attributed to Akira, a decision jointly made by Satotz and Pyon! freeweɓnovēl.coɱ
The great hero Akira, unaware that the Association planned to award him, was currently enjoying a hearty meal at a restaurant in Moros City.
....
In the following days, the Nen user community was once again shaken!
The death aura in the Moros Ruins had disappeared! The S-class criminals Envy and Wrath from the Seven Deadly Sins had been killed!
The last time such an event occurred was when the death aura in the Harimu Ruins vanished, and coincidentally, the instigator of both incidents was Akira.
At the same tim the protagonist Akira reputation gradually began to spread among Nen users.
Previously, people hadn't known why the death aura in the Harimu Ruins had disappeared, but now, with the events at the Moros Ruins, it became clear. It had been dispelled by a Nen exorcist!
After all, it was simply impossible for one person to cleanse an entire ruin of lingering malevolence in such a short time! Many also believed that it was Pyon and Satotz who had slain Wrath and Envy, not Akira.
An unknown young man versus a member of the Twelve Zodiacs and a long-renowned ruin hunter. When comparing the two, people were more inclined to believe it was the latter who had accomplished the feat.
Only one thing was certain: Akira had become famous!
.....
In the northern part of the Yorbian Continent, within the territory of the United states of saherta. This was the city of pleasure—Glam Gas Land!
In a dimly lit alley of the city, it seemed as though a fierce battle had just taken place.
The corners were littered with trash from overturned bins. A light drizzle had just passed, filling the alley with a foul stench, faintly mingled with the scent of blood. Yet, oddly enough, a group of people lingered here.
The strangest of all were the two at the front. A man and a woman.
The woman had a beautiful face and a seductive figure, dressed in a light pink gauze. Her alluring form was faintly visible beneath the gauze, with wisps of pink aura emanating from her. The man, though physically intact, lay flat on a stretcher, as if moving even a finger was an immense challenge.
The woman looked at her phone, its screen casting a glow in the dim alley, illuminating her meaningful expression. She parted her red lips and spoke.
"Sloth, it's time to go back. Something's happened!"
The man continued to lie on the stretcher, motionless. If not for his steady breathing, one might have thought he was dead.
"Wrath and Envy are dead!" the woman added.
"Huh?!"
Finally, the man broke his "silence is golden" rule, though all he managed was a single "Huh?!" It seemed that getting him to make any sound at all was a sign of his shock.
The woman, clearly accustomed to the man behavior, said nothing more.
Instead, she signaled with her eyes for the others to lift the man and prepare to leave this place. The two were none other than Sloth and Lust from The Seven Deadly Sins!
Like Wrath and Envy, Sloth and Lust often traveled together, and their bond was even closer than the former pair. Wrath and Envy traveled together mainly because of their similar personalities and interests, but Sloth and Lust were different.
Their long-term companionship was tied to their Nen abilities.
When combined, Sloth and Lust Nen abilities could produce effects far beyond ordinary imagination! If anyone else had been present, they would have noticed.
The men beside Lust were all male, their eyes clouded and unfocused. This was a sign of being controlled!
If Akira had been there, he would have realized that every single person in this alley was a Nen user of at least A-class caliber!
Yet, such formidable beings, under Lust control, were usually relegated to carrying Sloth stretcher.
As the sound of footsteps echoed from the depths of the alley, Lust and her group quickly departed, and the alley returned to its usual quiet.
