I Am Tired Of Being A Hero-Chapter 270: Shopping for the Cruise
Chapter 270: Shopping for the Cruise
He hugged her back and hesitated before patting her back the same way that he had seen Ravi do to Ash. After a second, she stepped back with her normally cold expression if one ignored her ears that were flushed from embarrassment.
"It was like you were a whole different person. You were like...even more terrifying than you usually are. Then Ravi said that I should not look into your eyes. Right, why would you say?"
Ravi sighed and released the field that he had set up when Malik had fallen to the ground. "Because you would die." freёwebnoѵel.com
"Dead?" Lana choked before looking at Malik with a fiery gaze. Ravi had seen her have that gaze when she was looking at his plants as if all she wanted to do was lie him down on a lab table so she could take her time to completely dissect him so she could find out why.
"Lana, pay at the counter," Malik said immediately causing Ravi’s lips to twitch against his will.
Lana rolled her eyes, "You can just ask me to leave so that you can have your private conversation. I am not unreasonable so I would leave."
She took the black card, looked at the two of them, and left without looking back.
Ravi’s mind was still boggling as he wondered where to start but Malik just stood up gracefully, "Aren’t we still shopping?"
Ravi raised an eyebrow, "Are we going to pretend that nothing happened just now?"
Malik chuckled and Ravi could not help but be amazed at how normal he was, how human. He thought of King Yama and he could not help but shiver.
"That scary?" Malik noted, "We have to meet you with Sage and Ash by 1:40 pm for lunch. I have to go to school for a lecture at 3 pm. I have a feeling that this would be a very long discussion so we cannot start it by 1:10 pm." Besides he needed time to make an independent conclusion before hearing the details from Ravi.
Ravi thought he was joking but Malik never brought it up, he acted like falling down in the middle of the store and groaning in pain might just be something that he and Lana might have imagined.
They bought clothes and then joined Sage and Ash who were at the electronic store looking at games.
"Just four." Ravi reminded them when he saw them grinning with a cart full of video games.
"Ravi..."
"Four." He was sure that they had already prepared their arguments, He had seen them whispering to each other.
"We understand, however..." This time it was Sage and Lana rolled his eyes.
"Four is four. Cruise or not, you two have assignments and didn’t you say that you told your academy that you are taking a month’s breath to work on a school project? You are traveling for inspiration; do not tell me you are just planning to watch movies and play videos all day. Ash is a first-class student, don’t..."
Ravi’s phone rang and he gladly moved away from the group to take it out of his pocket. When he saw who was calling, he smiled and picked it up.
’Hey."
’Hey?’ Arlen was incredulous at this newfound way of greeting but he soon chuckled.
Ravi coughed, not sure, why his cheeks were flaming red.
"What are you doing?" Arlen asked.
"I Am at Nico’s and Co. Sage and Ash wanted to pick out a game. Then it turned to four and yet they still have the guts to negotiate." When he said the last words, Ravi raised his voice so the three arguing would hear him.
He looked around and saw that Malik was talking to the Cashier and he calmed down.
Arlen laughed, his laugh washing over Ravi like the waters at the hot spring. Ravi shook his head to push the thoughts away.
"Did you talk to them about the Cruise?" Arlen asked and Ravi nodded. When he had told them, there had not been any kind of arguments, just a question of when they were going and when.
Of course, his sweet Ash had asked about school. He had been worried that the school would not give Lisa an off on such short notice but Malik said that he would take care of it.
"They were excited. I think the problem would be me, I have not yet finished my National Service, I have four more months. I can take a breath..."
"I would take care of it."
Ravi paused at his words and chuckled, "Why am I suddenly feeling kept?
Arlen changed his voice to fit that of a nouveau riche playboy, "Babe, you just have to bring yourself and your passport."
"Please never say that again."
Arlen burst out laughing and Ravi could not help but follow along. They talked for a while before Ravi looked around and whispered a ’I love you too’.
"We can hear you, Ravi. You don’t have to whisper it." Ash said and everyone burst out laughing.
Ravi’s lips curled and he walked towards them.
"Ouch!" Ash held his forehead; his cornflower blue eyes were shining brightly as he grumbled.
Lana took out a tablet, "Clothes. Check. Recreation. Check."
"What are you checking recreation for, we just bought four games."
Lana ignored him, "Health." She then looked at all of them, "We need to go to the hospital for a checkup as well. Ash, especially you, you have not traveled to many places before so you need an immunity boost at least. We need some over-the-counter medicines as well."
"Lana, you do recall we have a healer." Malik reminded her.
"What of if he dies before we can get him? What if..."
"We would get the medicine and the checkup. But first, we need to eat." Ravi imagined another thirty minutes of arguing if he asked them which restaurant they should eat at and instantly changed his mind.
"We would go to Nirvana. Their menu is online so start now to think of what you are going to eat before we get there. Yes, I am talking to you, Sage."
