Prologue – Part 1
“…Hmm, which one should I wear?”
Oki Hinako, the director of the Special Mutation Countermeasures Bureau, stood in her underwear in her room.
In front of her was a pile of scattered clothes.
“What kind of outfit would make Yuuya-kun fall head over heels for me?”
She asked as she picked up various items of clothing and checked them out in the mirror.
“They say first impressions are important, so maybe I should wear a suit to look mature. But then again, that might make him feel uncomfortable. Should I perhaps go with something more youthful, like a short shirt and miniskirt?”
Oki pondered as she changed into outfits that didn’t quite match her appearance and checked her reflection.
While she would have normally noticed how odd she looked, she was checking each outfit with a serious expression.
“Yeah, this outfit should catch Yuuya-kun’s attention! The only problem is that other people will also see me like this. I only want Yuuya-kun to see me. Well, I’ll save the really sexy outfits for when we’re alone together♪.”
For some reason, Oki was certain that she would end up alone with Yuuya, so she happily continued with her fashion show.
“Just thinking about seeing him soon makes my heart race. I have to come up with the perfect outfit to catch Yuuya-kun’s attention!”
──Little did Yuuya know that there was someone out there who had forgotten all about work and was fully immersed in pursuing her desires.

“Hmm…”
The principal’s office at Ousei Academy.
Principal Tsukasa Houjou and another person were sitting across from each other.
Tsukasa glanced at the documents in front of him, then looked back at the person in front of him.
“…You want to transfer to this school, don’t you, Yuzuki Komyouin?”
“Yes.”
The person addressed by Tsukasa was a neutral-looking individual with a noble air about him. Yuzuki Komyouin.
Yuzuki then asked Tsukasa a question.
“Is there a problem?”
“…No, not exactly.”
Although Tsukasa replied in this manner, he felt a strange sense of unease toward Yuzuki.
“(His score on the transfer exam was almost. Plus, his grades at his previous school were excellent, and his written recommendations are good. But…)”
Yuzuki smiled cheerfully at Tsukasa.
“(…But somehow, I feel like all of his grades are fabricated. Certainly, when he asked to transfer here, I looked into his background and found no discrepancies in his documents. But something still bothers me. What could it be?)”
As Tsukasa was feeling an indescribable sense of unease toward Yuzuki, there was a sudden knock on the door.
Tsukasa motioned for the butler to enter. He came in with a confused look on his face.
“Hmm? What’s going on?”
“Master, It’s about the transfer student…”
The butler approached Tsukasa and whispered in his ear.
“…Just now, we received a request from the government to give this transfer student special treatment.”
“What!?”
Those were words Tsukasa never expected to hear.
“A request from the government? That means he… Komyoin-kun is someone of a status I could never have imagined…”
[T/N: I’m sorry for the mistake in the previous volume when I thought Yuzuki was a girl. Tsukasa uses kare (彼), which means “he” or “him,” to address Yuzuki, so we know Yuzuki is a boy. Or, who knows? Since Yuzuki looks androgynous, the author probably wants to use another popular trope here as well. :D]
Many students at Ousei Academy came from ordinary families, but a few belonged to famous ones.
However, the government had never made a special request in a situation like this before.
“(No wonder I couldn’t find anything about him when I ran a background check. To be honest, I’m very uneasy, but as far as I can tell, there don’t seem to be any problems. That’s why, even if the government hadn’t requested it, I can’t just refuse his transfer.)”
Tsukasa thought about it and let out a sigh.
“…Excuse me. Anyway, we welcome you to our school.”
“Thank you.”
Facing Yuzuki’s bright smile, Tsukasa felt slightly uneasy.

In response to the troubles I had been experiencing, I made some exciting plans, such as a Christmas party and a trip organized by Kitaraku-senpai. For the first time in a long time, I was enjoying my peaceful daily life.
With a peaceful mind, I went to school, where Ryo and Shingo greeted me.
“Good morning, Yuuya.”
“G-good morning, Yuuya-kun.”
“Good morning, everyone.”
As I greeted them and got ready for the day, Kaede and Rin approached.
“Good morning, everyone!”
“Good morning.”
“Oh, good morning, Kaede and Rin.”
“Hey, did you hear? That story!”
“Huh?”
Kaede said excitedly.
“That story? What are you talking about?”
“Eh, um, I don’t know either.”
Just like me, Ryo and Shingo tilted their heads in confusion at Kaede’s words.
“You haven’t heard it yet? Actually…”
“A transfer student is coming.”
“Hey, Rin-chan!?”
When Rin blurted out the most important part, Kaede immediately responded with a sharp retort.
“Why did you say that?”
“Haha! Sorry, sorry. I did it on purpose.”
“Oh, you did it on purpose! But that makes it worse!”
“Okay, okay, don’t get angry.”
“It’s all your fault, Rin-chan!”
Rin laughed cheerfully at Kaede, who puffed out her cheeks.
We were surprised by their exchange but couldn’t help smiling.
“Ahaha… But a transfer student…”
“Eh, um, that…”
“Isn’t that too many?”
I was thinking the same thing as Ryo, so I nodded along with Shingo-kun. Oh, Shingo-kun thought so too.
Then, seeing how noisy we were, Luna, Merl, and Yukine came over.
“It’s noisy in the morning.”
“Is something wrong?”
“We’re not sure either, but it seems like a new transfer student is coming.”
“A transfer student?”
“…That’s right.”
Luna and the others seemed to be hearing about it for the first time and were surprised.
Kaede continued explaining it to the three of them.
“I just heard about it this morning, too. By the way, I think it’s in Kaori-san’s class, not ours.”
“Huh…”
“…Is it correct to understand that this transfer student is someone new coming from outside the school?”
“Yes, that’s right.”
“I see… Does that happen often?”
In response to Luna’s question, Kaede and Ryo looked at each other and shook their heads.
“No, it’s not something that happens often…or at least, it shouldn’t.”
“There are already three of you: Yuuya-kun, Merl-san, and Luna-san. There are also Lexia-san and Yuti-san in middle school…”
“Well, except for Yuuya, they’re all international students, so they’re not really transfer students.”
“B-but it’s still unusual to have so many international students, isn’t it?”
“That’s true!”
Ryo seemed surprised, as if he had just realized that.
W-well, Merl, and Luna have special circumstances. Or rather, they’re all related to me.
In that sense, this was the first time there’s been a pure transfer student.
“By the way, is the transfer student a boy or a girl?”
“I heard it’s a boy.”
“Huh… So that means it’s the first boy since Yuuya.”
“Is that boy related to Yuuya in any way?”
“Eh!? No, I don’t think so.”
“Really?”
As Rin looks at me suspiciously, I think back on the people around me.
…No, I don’t think I have any acquaintances who are likely to transfer.
What should I do? I’m starting to lose confidence.
W-well, even if I’m not confident, if there’s no one like that, then it has nothing to do with me.
“Yeah, I don’t think it has anything to do with me. I can’t think of anyone in particular.” freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
“I see… Then that must be it.”
“Either way, I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of person it is!”
Kaede concluded. Akira came over in a hurry.
“Everyone, listen up! Apparently, a transfer student is coming to our school!”
“We already talked about that.”
“Really?”
What bad timing… We just finished talking about the transfer student.
However, Akira quickly regained his composure and showed a strange fighting spirit.
“From what I heard, the transfer student is a boy, right? That means my position as the ‘Prince of Ousei Academy’ might be in danger!”
“No, I don’t think you ever had that position to begin with.”
“No, that’s not true! I am the eternal prince!”
“…I don’t know what kind of transfer student is coming, but I doubt anyone could be stranger than this guy.”
“Ah, ahaha…”
Well, it was not something I should say, but Rin might be right.
As the conversation about the transfer student heated up, everyone returned to their seats.
