I transmigrated and got a husband and a son!-Chapter 1175: Babysit
Chapter 1175: Babysit
"So, please. Help me contact Hera."
Dominic wasn’t surprised that the Silvers Family was mentioned. After all, Lukas Silvers made it very clear he didn’t approve of Florence, and if Florence were the head of the Oxley, he would rather prefer for the entire Oxley Family to fall.
Dominic was still unsure if Lukas wanted Hera dead, but from his point of view, if Hera’s demise was what Lukas wanted, then he wouldn’t have needed to meet with Dominic. In other words, Lukas might have the same goal as the other three families, but there was a high chance he wasn’t working with them. He might be wrong, though.
"Axel, take her back," said Dominic after a prolonged silence. "Her mother can’t know she’s been in here."
"But I can’t go back!" Charlotte gasped. "My mother doesn’t know I snuck in her plane."
Dominic squinted his eyes. "What do you mean by that?"
"Right. I forgot to tell you when I said the owner doesn’t know her wallet is missing. I meant she didn’t even know she was missing because she left it at home," Axel explained, earning this brief, deadly glare from Dominic. "I told you. It was dangerous."
"I didn’t know it was this kind of big danger, big brother Dominic," Dominic stressed before casting Charlotte a look. "If your mother didn’t know you were here, how do you plan on going home?"
"I didn’t..." Charlotte pressed her lips as she held her breath, realizing something important just now. "... think of that far because I thought you’d help me."
Dominic and Axel couldn’t help but look at the young lady in dismay. She snuck in her mother’s plane, but didn’t think of how she would be able to go home? Just what kind of genius Florence was raising all these years?
Dominic pinched the bridge of his nose before he peeked at her. "Then come clean to your mother."
"I can’t do that."
"Why?" he arched a brow. "I don’t think she will hurt you."
"But she will lock me in my room for a year." Charlotte’s pale lips quivered as fear shone in her eyes. "She never lets me out of the house and meets people unless they come to our house."
"Then, how did you find out the four families are on the Oxley Family?"
"When you’re locked away all your life, eavesdropping becomes a habit," she murmured as she felt like shrinking under their gaze. "People talk and I listen."
Made sense.
"What do I do with you?" Dominic hummed, pondering.
He wanted to reveal that Hera was listening to this conversation. However, he didn’t want to reveal that card to anyone without careful consideration. Charlotte was still a stranger, after all.
"She cannot stay here," Dominic remarked. "She can’t also stay in a hotel all alone. Who knows where she’ll wander off all alone."
Dominic and Axel looked at each other, knowing it would be too dangerous to keep this woman in this villa. And Dominic didn’t like strangers in his home. Letting her stay in the hotel was akin to leaving her in the streets to fend for herself.
If there was a place that was close to them, but still far enough from the dangers lurking around Dominic and Axel’s shadows was...

Dominic watched Axel’s car slowly drive away from his property through the window. He slowly turned around and picked up the phone he previously slipped on the couch, checking if Hera was still connected.
"Still there?" he asked when he placed the phone in front of his ear. "You okay?"
"Mhm." Hera hummed, leaning comfortably on the bench in the garden. Her arms were cooly spread on the backrest, her leg resting over the other, and her foot was shaking.
"What do you think of what she said?" he asked, but she just shrugged.
"That’s what I would like to ask you. Because if I’m going to say anything about her, she’d cry," she returned. "What do you think about this cousin of mine?"
"I think... Florence treasures her," he remarked as he poured himself a glass of scotch. "She raised her differently from how Florence was probably raised. Though I’m not the one to talk, since I don’t know much about your auntie’s upbringing."
"But I do, at least, I have an idea." Hera cocked her head back, staring at the clear sky. "Would it be unfair to kill that kid?"
"Hera."
"Her mother killed my mother, dragged your grandmother into it, and as if that isn’t enough, she’s out to kill me too," Hera resumed sternly. "It doesn’t matter if the four families want the Oxley dead for a reason. However, what’s not going to change is that Florence would do her best to off me."
Dominic remained quiet as he swirled the glass in his hand. "Killing her sounds like something you’d do as Hera Cruel. But you don’t want to."
"If this was before, she’s dead before she could even get the slightest sympathy from me."
A subtle smile turned up on his face as he wanted to argue about her remarks. "We’ll think of a way on how to use her."
"I already sent people to pick up the person who tried to kill Grandma. Send her along with them."
"Huh?"
"Florence doesn’t know her precious daughter is not in the comfort of her home. She’d go ballistic once she finds out that kid is gone," she explained. "I might not kill that cousin of mine, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to use her to make her mother’s life miserable."
"Hera, what are you planning?"
The corner of her lips curled up as a glint flickered across her eyes.

Over an hour later...
"Ugh..." Ivy lazily grabbed her robe and put it on around her, dragging herself to the front door as it kept ringing. To be sure, she checked the front door monitor mounted on the wall.
"Axel?" she muttered, confused. "Why is he here in the middle of the night?"
Ivy went to open the door, furrowing her brows as soon as she met Axel’s eyes. "What are you doing here?"
"I need your help," he said. "Babysit her for me."
"Babysit, who?" the lines between her brows deepened as a young lady peeked her head from behind Axel. Ivy’s lips curved down, looking up at Axel with curiosity. "You — don’t tell me you got someone pregnant?"
"I’m not pregnant!" Charlotte jumped away from Axel’s back to defend herself. "And we’re not together! We’ll never be together, ever! There’s no way!"
Axel was flabbergasted, looking at her in disbelief. Ivy, on the other hand, glanced at Axel. She felt a little sorry for him. This young lady didn’t have to be so obvious he was not her type to deny Ivy’s assumptions.
"How dare you!" Axel scoffed, making Charlotte’s brows raise. He huffed and shook his head, waving dismissively as he told himself he didn’t have time for this.
Facing Ivy once more, he said, "She’s the Madam’s daughter. Can you look after her for the night?"
"She’s who?!"
"Thank you, Ivy!" Axel tapped her shoulders, smiling. "Also, check your email before you say anything to her, alright? I gotta go!"
After saying his piece, Axel disappeared from their sight like a bolt of lightning. Ivy was left aghast and all she could do was stare at the young lady standing outside her front door. Charlotte blinked innocently and smiled adorably.
"Hello." Charlotte waved at her. "My name’s Charlotte. I won’t cause trouble, so don’t worry."
