I transmigrated and got a husband and a son!-Chapter 1211: Very pretty in person
Chapter 1211: Very pretty in person
Outside the mansion, the fight continued to rage on until a loud explosion brought a pause to the fight.
BOOM!
In the eastern part of the island, Dominic froze as he heard that strange noise from afar. Despite the distance, the eruption felt like it thundered just right next to him. Turning his head, his eyes dilated as he caught a huge fire in some part of the lone and grand mansion at the top of the hill.
’Hera!’
Without thinking, Dominic was about to flee to the mansion to see if his wife was able to get out of that place safely. Although he knew Hera and her capabilities, the possibilities were endless.
"Hey!" Dominic was stopped by a hand. "Mr. Zhu, where are you going? It’s dangerous if you wander off."
The owner of the hand that stopped him was Elliot Dunkell. The man had arrived earlier than Dominic and his forces. But Elliot stayed in this meeting place, which was considered the safe zone for them.
"The mansion —" Dominic’s remarks stopped when another loud explosion was heard. Turning his head, his breath hitched as explosion after explosion slowly engulfed the mansion with wild flames.
"Hera," he breathed out, shrugging off Elliot’s hands as he jumped to the motorcycle nearest him.
"Mr. Zhu!" Elliot yelled, but Dominic’s adrenaline made him reach the motorcycle faster than anyone could catch up.
The Interpol with the collaboration of the Silvers and Zhu Families had arrived to subdue Florence’s men. They were already in the middle part of the mission. Thanks to Nigel’s help and those who sided with Hera, things were developing much faster in their favor.
"I think Hera Cruel is still inside the mansion," Lukas Silvers remarked as he stood next to Elliot. "I did hear he had some scores to settle with Hera Cruel..."
Lukas trailed off as he heard a swooshing sound, only to see Elliot Dunkell sprinting toward another vehicle.
"Unit 1 and 2 and sniper squad, head to the mansion!" Elliot ordered. "Cover Dominic Zhu and make sure Hera Cruel is alive! Arrest her if things get heated!"
Lukas blinked and blinked, a little surprised at this development in their temporary camp. In no time, Elliot was already on the open truck, heading to the collapsing mansion.
"Why does he look a little worried?" he wondered to himself, looking around, and barely his men and a few members from the Interpol remained. "Should we follow?"

"Drive faster!" Elliot yelled before he raised his walkie-talkie to his mouth. "We’re heading to the mansion. Clear the area from the southern to the mansion — I repeat!"
Elliot let everyone know of their movement, thinking they might accidentally get shot. They were about to enter the red zones. He didn’t want to die or his men because of a lost bullet. Moreover, he was worried about Dominic and, especially, Hera.
Looking up at the collapsing mansion, he clenched his teeth. Just now, Lukas Silvers said Hera was still in there.
"This is what I told her to keep in contact!" he roared angrily. "Now I don’t know if her men are with her or if she’s alone — that crazy madwoman! How careless could she be!?"
Elliot wouldn’t be so worried if he knew that Hera’s backup was here. But he hadn’t heard a word from them. Therefore, he didn’t know if they were still alive or where in the world their remains were. What he knew, however, was that Hera only took a few of her men with her.
’Not to mention, I promised Dominic to give her on a silver platter,’ he thought bitterly.
Although Elliot still planned to keep his end of the bargain, he also wanted to make sure Dominic wouldn’t kill Hera. In his mind, he planned to play a mediator between them so they could talk out whatever problem they had without a drop of blood. It was the main reason Elliot followed Dominic.
Dominic had been in a terrible mood since earlier. He had been wanting to go into action himself, and it took a few men to stop the man from doing anything reckless. In the end, he still went.
"Hey! Hey!!!"
Suddenly, Elliot heard a voice yelling. Turning his head, he caught two motorcycles from the side. He squinted, only to recognize the scar across the man’s cheeks.
"That’s a Reaper!" Elliot felt slightly relieved when he recognized Moose.
The driver of their truck drove steadily while closing into the motorcycle. The other motorcycle didn’t stop, but rather, sped through whatever was in the way.
"Elliot Dunkell, right?!" Moose shouted, and based on the harsh look in his eyes, this wasn’t good news.
"Where’s Hera?" Elliot blurted out, thinking there was only one reason for this money-hungry man to look so demonic.
"Send your guys in the mansion!" Moose didn’t entertain the question as he spoke through his gritted teeth. "I meant the chopper! We need to find Hera — I swear you guys won’t leave this island alive if she dies in there!"
After saying his piece, Moose sped away, heading in the same direction as them.
"She’s still in there..." Elliot clenched his teeth, eyes glinting.
Hearing that, the driver of the truck stomped on the pedal as they understood Hera’s life was the most important right now. If she dies, this fight won’t end. The Reapers and possibly the people from the Oxley would come at them. What Elliot didn’t consider was that Dominic would rip them all to pieces if the worst happened to her as well.

Meanwhile, inside the mansion, Hera skidded as the wall headed to the exit collapsed.
"Shit!" she hissed, already feeling the heatwave and smoke polluting her lungs. Hera intuitively raised her arm to her nose, looking around and trying to see through the smoke surrounding her.
"Boss!" From her earpiece was Joker’s panicking voice. "What are you still doing inside!? That building will collapse! Get the fuck out of there!"
’He’s fine?’ It was out of place, but Hera was surprised Joker didn’t seem to worry about anything from the outside.
"Joker, find me an exit," she said and at the same time, something fell on her. Thankfully, she had fast reflexes, and she was able to jump away from it.
"What do you mean to find you an exit?"
"Find me a damn fucking exit!" she yelled as she started running again. "The main exit is blocked. I can’t — shit!"
"What’s going on, Hera, wait —!" Joker panicked while working on the devices in his hands. His fingers almost felt complete because of the adrenaline. "Hera....! Goddamit!"
His voice shook as he heard her yell and grunt and all other noises in the background, including the next explosion. "Shit, shit, shit!"
"Joker..." Just then, Joker’s breath hitched as he heard her weak and slightly defeated voice. "I hit my head."
Back in the mansion, Hera found herself sitting casually on the ground, feeling a little light-headed. She held her head and felt something sticky on her palm. Looking at the blood in her hand, she sighed and looked around. Everything she could see was smoke and dust from the rubbles, and then some orange flames behind the thick fog.
"Joker," she called, knowing this was terrible for her. "Just in case. Tell Dominic..."
"No, I will not!" Joker roared, but Hera ignored him. "Don’t you say another word! Wait for me. I’ll fucking find you a damn fucking exit! Keep moving!"
She gazed up at the cracks in the ceiling over her and smiled. She could almost hear it crack. "Tell my husband I am very pretty in person in case he didn’t get a proper look last time."
"Hera!" Joker yelled, but at the same time, the ceiling collapsed as another bomb detonated.
