Chapter 11: Have lunch with me

ODETTE'S POV:

I'd spent the last three days alone in the dim lit cell. No food, no visitors. Nothing, but the company of a small mouse that would it's time with me. I named the mouse Jerry, from the old cartoon. I had this secret guilty pleasure of watching black and white movies and old cartoons. I've seen all the classic's and not just the horror, no, I've seen the romances, the westerns, the gangsters, and even old documentaries. My favorites were the ones on vampires and werewolves. I loved laughing at all the incorrect superstitions.

Thinking about the things I missed and couldn't wait to have again. It was the only thing keeping me sane in my time of solitude. Having something to hold on too. I knew my family, especially her father, would come for me. He'd tear the world apart to find her me. And so would my mammy, Lilith was a force to be reckoned with. She was powerful and a demented. I remember the story my Uncle Oliver told me of my mother's birthday party, when she found out about Uncle Riley's mistreatment of my mother, she stripped him naked and broke a bone for every time he had hurt my mother, she broke over 40 bones that day in front of the entirety of Vampire society. They watched as she broke her own grandson into shattered pieces. As ruthless as my father was, he couldn't hold a candle to the Queen of the Damned.

They would find me, and I would get her revenge. I will tear Raven to pieces. I will break all of her stupid little fingers. Gouge out her eyes for seeing her so weak, rip out her tongue for mocking me.

Damn, I was hangry, my thoughts stood staggered on violence. It's been too long since I last fed. I felt so weak, like she would whether away.

Jerry was curled up with me on the mat Beta Damon had brought me. I haven't seen him since that day.

Lost in thought, stroking the small mouse I hadn't noticed the footsteps that echoed through the halls growing louder with each step, it wasn't until the mouse scurried away, the door to my cell block opened and strong steady footsteps approached me.

It was my kidnapper. I recognized his smell and the sounds of his footsteps.

Why was he so beautiful? It was truly unfair. Every time I felt his presence, I wanted more. Which made no sense, he'd taken me against her will. I truly despised him, but yet, I couldn't deny his good look, if he weren't such a scum bag and a dog no less, I could even find myself being attracted to him.

What the hell was I thinking? I has Kalvin, and Kalvin has my whole heart, I must be experiencing Stockholm Syndrome. That had to be the reason. I've been denied access to people; my desperation must be making my mind play tricks on her.

"Good afternoon princess, and how are you doing today?" he asked me.

"I'm just peachy, yourself?" I snorted rolling her eyes. The audacity of this guy was absurd.

"Wonderful, now that I'm here seeing your cheery face." He answered.

I scoffed, "is there something I can help you with?"

"Yes, kind of you to ask." His words dripped with sarcasm. It really irked me. "I can assume you're pretty hungry, I insist you join me today for lunch."

"Ha! Over my dead body, I'd sooner starve to death than eat lunch with a dog." my laugh was sour, and my words were sharp.

"It's not a choice. You will join me, and you will eat. I need you strong and healthy for what I have in store for us." He chuckled manically.

My stomach turned upside down when he said those words. What could he want from me? Fear crept up her spine. His face dark with an unsettling smile, his aura felt dangerous and oppressive.

"Fine, in fact, great, it's a date." I mocked.

At least I'd get to eat some food. But that won't satisfy me enough to make me stronger, I've already been starved of energy longer than I've ever been, my body felt constantly heavy, I was dizzy and achy. No one knew how Energy Vampires fed, cause there were only two of them. All I had to do was get her hands on someone and she could take their energy. They feed off the emotions. My mother could draw the sadness from a room full of people and feast on it. I couldn't do that, at least not yet. I just had to think of a way to do it unnoticed. That was my real problem now.

"Glad to hear it, but I can't have you seen in these rags and looking so... so... dirty, I'll some maids come bring you something to wear." His voice sounded rather please, which was very rattling for me. Something to wear?

"I'm good with my current state, I am after all your prisoner." I snarked.

"Ha, you're are surprisingly still spicy even after being starved for days. And that's true, so as my prisoner, you will do as I say." His voice was cold and firm, commanding obedience from me.

"I don't just bark, I bite. Take this collar off and I'll show you what I can really do." I sneered low.

"There's plenty of time for that later, you'll be here a while, after all." He smirked.

His words made my blood turn cold, and the color drained from my face.

The thought of being stuck here, in this cell, with these wolves, wasn't my idea of a good time. I bit back my well-deserved threat, not wanting to be chocked while I'm so weak. I might be daring, but I wasn't an idiot, not by any means. I knew when to keep my mouth shut. Having the King of Vampires for a dad, teaches you when it's the best time to shut the hell up.

"I'm looking forward to it." I just rolled her eyes with scoff.

He yelled "Guards, escort her to my private chambers please."

"Yes, my King." They responded.

I looked to my kidnapper, shock clearly written on my face, king? This guy was the Alpha King? At this age?

"Oh man, you've got to be shitting me." I said to myself.

The guards opened the cell and immediately I booked it for one. Grabbing a hold of his face and immediately started to feed.

I was utterly starved, and I couldn't stop myself the minute there was an opportunity.

The wolf growled and tried to rip me off his face, but I held her grip firm. Almost ripping his ears off.

A growl came from king and he ripped me off his guard and through me against the bared wall.

After he looked to his guard and socked the guard in the face. "Don't touch what's mine, and don't be so weak that a small starved little girl can get the best of you, it's a pathetic disappointment." The king growled the guard. A hard wave of exhaustion and dizziness slammed into the guard, he felt so weak he dropped to his knees. And fell unconscious. The punch was the tip for the guard, he couldn't keep himself awake any longer.

The king just looked at him, kicked his body some, the man groaned, showing signs of him still being alive.

"Whatever you did, it didn't kill him at least." The King said walking to me, "If it had, I'd have to punish you."

"I was hungry, what can I say?" I shrugged my shoulders nonchalantly.

He pulled something out of his pocket, and I instantly recognized it. It was the same remote Raven had.

My face fell and horror filled my eyes. He knew that look, he knew it was fear.

"Nervous? That means you know what it does." He smiled deviously. "Good, I don't have to explain. Make one wrong move and I'll give you a little zap, to remind you of your place."

For the first time since my arrival, I was rendered speechless, fear had melted my words.

"Get up." He growled at me.

I did as I was told and rose from the ground with little defiance. I only snacked on a little of the man's energy, I don't have the strength to handle a shock like before. The guy was weak, he fainted after only a few seconds. Why have such weak guards? Are the wolves that pathetic?

Standing up I dust myself off and fiddles with my collar some, readjusting it to feel better.

He stood still staring at me, clearly interrupting a deep thought, I says "Well, let's get moving, I don't have all day."
