[Timeskip to Thursday]

Mirage stood at the front of a crowd—his class—with a clipboard. Once he finished calling everybody's name, he raised his hand and pointed back with his thumb.

Behind him was a long, dark blue bus with gold flairs on the side. "Alright everyone, time to get on the bus!"

Someone in the class then raised their hand. "Why a bus? Can't you teleport us there?"

Mirage just shrugged, "We could. But this is a trip, so we figured you might want to enjoy the scenery on the way."

"And how long is the drive?"

"4-5 hours, give or take."

"Wouldn't this dig into our weekends?"

"... We'll give you guys some time off."

Lillian stood at the back, watching as Mirage answered these questions. She then glanced to the side to see a tall beauty, brushing shoulders with her.

It was, of course, Marionette, with her long black hair cascading down the back of a black jean jacket, which was worn over a black-turtle neck. She also wore a pair of black jeans to match her jacket and sneakers.

"Are you not hot in that? You're in all black."

Marionette turned her gaze down and responded with:

"I'm not. And I'm sure it'll be quite cold in the Forest of Disruption."

Lillian nodded her head and turned away, "That's fair." She then noticed Marionette's lingering gaze on her, which seemed to go up and down a few times.

She looked back, "What's up?"

"... You're looking pretty today."

"E-eh?" Lillian perked up a bit, blushing. She glanced down at her attire, which was just made up of a white hoodie with a t-shirt underneath and cargo pants.

"I-I do? I think I look pretty basic in these."

"Hm..." Marionette stared at her silently. "You look good in anything. But I wasn't necessarily talking about just your clothes..." she then turned away from her.

Lillian did the same, covering the bottom half of her face with her hand with a twitching face. Her cheeks burned with a blush—the uncontrollable smile on her lips grew—to the point it became sore.

'Why does she have to do this...'

She then noticed a certain purple-haired girl making their way over to them with a wave. It was Millis.

"Heya, you guys! Ya guys ready for this trip?"

Lillian shrugged, "As ready as I'll ever be, I guess..." She then glanced at Millis's attire from top to bottom. She wore a white-turtle neck sweater, a thick coat, and dark blue jeans.

Millis also noticed these glances and snickered mischievously, "Oh my~ Lil~! How could ya check meh out like that when your girlfriend is right next to you~?"

"H-Huh?! Check you out? Girlfriend?"

Lillian then felt a piercing gaze from behind that seemed to burrow into the back of her skull. She turned around and saw no one but Marionette, who was just facing forward.

She scratched the back of her head. 'Did I imagine that?'

She then turned her attention towards the rest of the class funnelled into the bus. Not only that, but her gaze brought her to Reph, steadily making his way to them after discussing something with Mirage.

"What did you have to speak to Mirage about?"

"I was just asking if we were going to make stops along the way."

"And what did he say?"

"He said we'll take a few to grab some food, but other than that, we'll be going straight to our destination." He yawned. "I also wanted to ask you something."

"Hm? What's up?" She tilted her head.

"Is it possible we could sit together? I still wish to discuss some matters." He said, straightening his back a little but still having that tired expression on his face.

"Eh? Sit together?" Lillian repeated, surprised. She rubbed the side of her head, "I guess we co—"

"I'm sorry, Second Prince." Lillian felt a hand place itself on her shoulder. She craned her head back and found it belonged to Marionette, who was staring quite intently at Reph.

"But I prefer if Lillian sat with me during the entire journey there and back." Said Marionette in a strangely ominous tone.

Reph stared at her silently, noticing the look he was giving her. "That's quite the look you're giving."

"I have no idea what you mean, Prince... Are you willing to accept my request?"

"..." The two locked eyes with one another in silence. Eventually, the silence broke. Reph nodded and said in a firm tone, "I grant you your request."

He then turned to Millis, "How about you then? I found a good show recently."

"Eh? For real?" She went up to him and began walking alongside him to the bus. "Is it an old or a new one?"

"I think its new, considering I haven't seen it before."

"Aww~ sick! By the way...!" Millis leaned into his ear and whispered, "What's with the tone ya used to agree to her request?"

"Hm? It's so it doesn't look like I was being intimidated..."

"Eh? Was she trying to...?"

"..." Reph placed his foot on the steps of the bus and took a brief glance back at Marionette, who was following them from behind alongside Lillian. He then withdrew his gaze once getting noticed and muttered, "... Maybe..."

After getting on the bus, Lillian quickly dashes to get a window seat. However, she then noticed a dark puddle going between her legs and reaching the seat.

"Oh come on!" Lillian yelled as she watched the puddle reform into Marionette, who sat there with arms crossed. The red-eyed woman then eyed her with a smile before patting the seat next to her.

"Come here."

Lillian pouted, "But I want the window seat."

"The person who is least likely to fall asleep should enjoy the scenery."

"Am I not enough "scenery" for you~?" Lillian smirked, causing Marionette to briefly become speechless. The Assassin then uncharacteristically coughed into her fist before looking out the window.

Lillian rolled her eyes and sat beside her, "Oh well... this seat is good anyway, considering I'm still sat next to you~." She flirted, playfully.

Marionette didn't show any reaction to her words and continued to stare out the window. Lillian sighed and leaned her head back into the chair.

She then felt the bus start up and began moving. Since they were still in the Academy Realm, they would have to pass through a portal. Which they did.

After a humongous portal appeared in front of the moving bus, they found themselves on an empty road in the city, most likely cleared for their arrival.

While the bus driver and their teacher were fine, that couldn't be said for everyone on the bus, due to the nauseating effects of the portal, which was a lot stronger compared to the ones made by their bracelets.

Lillian fared against it a bit better this time, while Marionette didn't even seem a bit bothered by it in the slightest.

Millis was hunched over and clutching the Prince's left shoulder as support. Reph stared at her concerningly and said:

"Please don't vomit on me."

Millis raised her head and stared at him, covering her mouth with her left hand. "I'm definitely going to barf on ya, if it happens."

Reph then gently pushed her face back with a repulsed look, "You better not, man..."

The bus then went on to drive for a while, passing through roads with beautiful mountain tops as its background along with the stunning scenes of the sea.

It was during this that Lillian had indeed fallen asleep. Well... was about to.

Her head bobbed up and down, quickly shooting back up if her body leaned too far to one side or down.

Marionette quickly noticed this. She subtly pushed her left arm around the back of Lillian's head and placed her palm against the side of it.

Lillian felt a hand push against the side of her head before having it be placed on Marionette's shoulder. She slowly looked up, watching as Marionette's face deliberately bent down to her.

She then whispered:

"Sleep for now. I'll wake you up when we get there."

Lillian smiled a bit, "Alright. Fine." She adjusted her position and rested the side of her head on Marionette's shoulder before falling asleep.

Marionette stared tenderly at Lillian's sleeping face before noticing glances made towards them. She looked up and at the row parallel to them.

Two girls glanced at Lillian as she slept on Marionette's shoulder. However, their gazes immediately turned away once noticing the annoyed glare they were getting from the black-haired woman next to her.

After seeing their eyes had fully turned away, Marionette leaned the side of her face on top of Lillian's head, staring down at the beautiful sleeping face and whispering in an almost possessive tone:

"My eyes only..."
