I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess-Chapter 162: Third Layer of the Forest of Disruption? [1]
"But not with a certain black-haired beauty, though." Lillian stated, winking at Marionette, whose eyes glowed a certain light.
"Hm? Are you saying that you treat me differently?"
Lillian's smirk turned into a playful smile, "Like you always say, Mari. Who knows~..."
Marionette rolled her eyes, then sighed, "Such a tease..." Her fingers caressed the hickey she left on Lillian's neck, who still remained none-the-wiser about it.
Lillian ignored Marionette's consistent touching and responded with:
"Hey! Don't blame me for wanting to tease someone as adorable as you, Mari!" She shrugged, "I fold in the face of cute things."
"... You're more adorable, I say, Lilly."
The Beetle listened to the women's back-and-forth chatter with an annoyed expression.
After it was done with its meal, it began making its way through the forest. And eventually, they finally made their way out of the fog-covered layer.
Once breaking through the wall of fog, they were immediately met with a vibrant green forest. Even greener than the first layer.
If she squinted her eyes and looked past the trees, she would see a large cliff up ahead.
Lillian's eyes shined wonderously at the sight. She patted the back of the Beetle, urging it to move onwards.
"Keep on moving, you ravenous Beetle! I wanna see the waterfall!"
But it never did.
She then pinched the bridge of her nose, then sighed, "The third layer is considered the safest, due to the fact monsters avoid entering this layer. Don't tell me that you too are affected by this."
She looked over the Beetle's shoulder and saw it chattering its teeth like it was ill or something.
She groaned before noticing that Marionette had gotten off the Beetle. She then heard her say:
"No matter. Return it back for now. If it can't go on any further, we can just walk."
Lillian rubbed the back of her head, "Yeah, I guess..."
The Beetle under her then cracked and shattered into a cloud of dust before reshaping into a glass shard.
Lillian, who was previously on the Beetle, fell through the cloud and into Marionette's arms.
She smiled at her, "Yo, hot stuff."
Marionette blinked at her, "Hi." Before dropping her.
Thud...
"Ugh..." Lillian groaned, staring at Marionette with a twitching face, "Was there a need to do that? Why so rough all of a sudden?"
Marionette smiled, pushing out her hand for Lillian to take.
"I'm afraid, I can't keep you in my arms for too long."
Lillian pulled herself up, rubbing her back.

"Oh, yeah? Why's that?" She asked, eyeing the woman.
Marionette's smile turned mischievous as she said her next words:
"Who knows~..."
"Oh, come on! You can't just say that and then respond with something like that!"
Marionette shrugged with an expressionless face, "I can. You can imagine the reason why, though."
She then gestured towards the forest, "Well then, shall we go?"
Lillian sighed and nodded, "Yep. I think once we reach the waterfall, we will be able to find the others."
"You sound quite confident of that."
"Well... I'm sure with my luck, we'll find them instantly."
And true to her words, they did. However, it was only one person from their group.
"KAHAHAHA!"
Lillian stared with a deadpan expression at the man before her. It was Gram and he seemed to be thriving in this forest.
"Me can't believe you got lost in such small forest!" He widened his arms, referring to the forest before pointing at Lillian with a mocking grin.
Lillian's brows furrowed in annoyance. But he wasn't wrong. She facepalmed and asked:
"Where are the others? And this damn forest ain't small one bit, you damn Caveman!"
"KAHAHAHA!" Gram let out another bellowing laughter. He then pointed back with his thumb, "Down that way, you see many people there. Me go climb forest now!"
Lillian watched as he walked past them, moving towards a tree. She soon ignored him and tugged at Marionette's hand.
As they were walking in the direction they were directed to, Gram leapt towards a branch.
However, he suddenly felt something wrap around his ankle, pulling him down and slamming him face-first into the ground.
Luckily for his thick skull, he remained fine. When he sat up and looked around for the perpetrator. And what he found was a slender and sinister-looking tentacle coming out from the ground.
He stared at it curiously before shivering at the feeling of a cold and predatory glare on him.
He glanced towards the direction the glare was coming from and found it to belong to a tall, raven-haired woman with an intimidating pair of blood-red eyes.
It was Marionette.
She soon drew back her glare once Lillian struck up a conversation with her about the beauty of the forest they were in.
Although Gram was right to a degree, she wasn't particularly happy about Lillian being mocked.
"I don't know about you, but I think these trees look a lot different compared to 'normal' ones. Maybe because of the waterfall we might see later." Lillian ranted on.
Marionette wasn't exactly interested in how healthy the forest was or how beautiful it was. She wouldn't especially talk about it either.
But...
"I suppose your theory is right. The waterfall is known to be high in minerals and has health benefits when drank."
She would be willing to talk about anything as long as Lillian was with her. Even if it was out of her comfort zone.

"Bruh... Where have ya guys been!?" Millis yelled as she shook Lillian's shoulders.
"W-woah! Hey..." Lillian gently pulled Millis's hands off her shoulders. "We were only gone for a day."
She then scanned the area behind Millis, which was densely packed in tents.
"And you guys didn't seem to have any trouble getting here."
Millis gave an exasperated sigh before pulling away. She scratched the back of her head with a tense expression, "Well... the main group didn't. But after that little ambush from the lizards, some of our group got separated."
Lillian widened her eyes, slightly concerned, "Oh... Did you get them back yet?"
Millis waved her hand dismissively, "Yeah, we got them all. But most of them were pretty traumatised like shit, bro."
"By what...?"
"Something about some big-ass spider."
"Eh...?" Lillian tilted her head, "Spider, you say?"
"Yeah, bro. Apparently, some spider that shoots a really fast web... needle... ehh... something really fast." She shrugged, "I didn't know spiders had needles."
"Because they don't..."
"Bah! Anyway..." Millis stared back at the tents and some of the people standing around them.
"That thing apparently took out some of us, causing them to disappear using the talisman. Hopefully they're getting some treatment."
Lillian gave a low sigh, "I see..."
"By the way!"
Lillian looked back up at Millis to find her smirking at her. She tilted her head and asked:
"Yeah?"
"I think ya got a little something on ya neck~."
