Chapter 512: 512. The Report (2)

"Meow..."

Kitty sighed.

Would it be possible for him to find a place further away from these two people so that he would not be disturbed by them?

He felt that it would be better for him not to stay near Dylan and Anna.

Because the more he stayed near them, the more he would hear many inexplicable things.

Kitty trotted to his play room, which was relatively empty but there was another bed for him. This room was located furthest from Dylan and Anna’s room. Thanks to the good sound insulation, even with his strong senses, Kitty wouldn’t hear anything from this room.

"Meow~."

Time to sleep again~.

...

Daniels Family Residence

The next day, Dylan and Anna went to pay a visit to Uncle Darien. Uncle Darien had already reviewed their report and felt his lips twitched when he saw the report that looked more like a story rather than a formal report.

Thinking that the two brats were previously high school students... Uncle Darien could only sigh.

Then again, it was impossible for Dylan and Anna to tell the truth about what happened during their battle against the extremely large mutated animal. If they were to say that the two of them defeated the extremely large mutated animal without the need of many people....

It was estimated that there would be more people paying attention to City A Base.

Uncle Darien knew that some bases were in better situation and some other bases were in worse situation.

If there were any powerful awakened who could deal with the extremely large mutated animal so easily, there was no doubt that they might be used to deal with the other extremely large mutated animal in other areas.

Even if there was a limit to the distance...

It would still be troublesome.

And when they were heading towards the extremely large mutated animal, would they not meet other big mutated animals? Even if these big mutated animals were not as strong as the extremely large mutated animal, they would still be relatively powerful.

At least, some of them were powerful.

And these big mutated animals would win in number because there were many big mutated animals out there that the bases couldn’t solve immediately.

So if they wanted to send more people to deal with the extremely large mutated animal from the further base, they had to consider the other big mutated animals on the way and so on. If these awakened were too tired because of fighting with the big mutated animals, they wouldn’t be able to deal with the extremely large mutated animal.

At that time, wouldn’t they have to send a team instead to fight that extremely large mutated animal?

If they were to send their powerful awakened to deal with the extremely large mutated animal that was further away, how about the safety of their own base? Who would be responsible if some kind of extremely large mutated animal suddenly appeared in their base when these awakened went for a mission?

This was another matter worth concerning.

In any case, Uncle Darien could already see a whole truckload of concern and work that would befall him if the report were to be written that way.

So Dylan and Anna’s current report...

Was still pretty good.

As for the immaturity of their report, he would just say that these awakened were not exactly smart students before the world changed and their report has many limitations.

That should do.

Old Master Daniels looked at his son who was nodding his head from time to time and his lips twitched. He raised his hand and a wind slapped Uncle Darien’s head.

"Father!" Uncle Darien protested.

One of the advantage of having ability was that they could attack other people from a distance. And Old Master Daniels was having wind ability, which meant that his attack would usually be formless and hard to see.

Even then, those awakened with high senses would definitely be able to sense it when Old Master Daniels made his move.

The problem was that...

Uncle Darien was too focused on his report and didn’t put his vigilance in front of his father.

The end result was naturally clear.

"What are you looking at? You keep on nodding your head like chicken pecking rice," Old Master Daniels complained.

Uncle Darien’s lips twitched.

What kind of comparison was that? He felt that Old Master Daniels simply felt that he was an eyesore, so he gave such evaluation.

"Dylan and Anna would come soon because I ask them to come..."

"They’re coming? Why didn’t you tell me sooner? Henry, go and prepare more dishes for my grandson and granddaughter in law!" Old Master Daniels immediately become energetic and wanted to rush to pick those two in person if possible.

"Yes, Master!"

Butler Henry went out to prepare more dishes while Uncle Darien watched this all and his lips was twitched.

He had the feeling that his status in this family was definitely the lowest.

Even if he had the highest status outside... it was of no use in this family.

No matter who he is outside, he’s still Old Master Daniels’ son at home who had to listen to his father’s words.

Uncle Darien sighed deeply.

Forget it.

This is his father.

He could only admit it.

"I’m reading the report made by Dylan and Anna after they come back from their mission." Uncle Darien glanced outside.

There were some people who were watching his house and some people with some kind of strange abilities might be used against him. This mission was confidential and Uncle Darien didn’t dare to say that the two people went to fight that extremely large mutated animal.

The people who were part of the mission were listen as confidential members.

So other people would not be able to figure out who they were so easily.

"Oh? Why are you being so careful now?" Old Master Daniels arched his eyebrows and sneered. "Is it because of those rats who are watching us more lately?"
