Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System-Chapter 427: Unequal Genius of Ascension
Although the girls who stayed on Earth were not very knowledgeable about the higher realms, they still knew who these mostly unfamiliar women were referring to as the "black chicken."
That was freaking Lucifer Morningstar!
The banished son of God who went on to make HELL his personal domain!
A living legend!!
"Has that boy from back then really become so strong that not even Lucifer is his match…?" Sasha recalled memories of a chubby, unattractive boy whose kindness was larger than the restrictions placed on him from birth. "Is he… is he even Cassius anymore…?"
"Fufu~!" Bella hovered a hand over her coquettish smile. "Of course, my Darling is no longer the same, for his love for me is now unrivaled throughout heaven and earth~!!"
"Weren't you the one who made the beginning of his life so miserable to begin with?" Hellea questioned. "Wouldn't it be more reasonable to say that his love for you is the lowest out of every one of his flings here?"
'My fault!?'
'Flings!?'
"You're absolutely mistaken— Wait, who the hell are you, bitch!?" Bella took a step back in surprise, then proceeded to hiss at the gorgeous black-haired woman dressed like a witch. "And how do you know about the intimate past between me and my Darling!?"
With everyone's eyes now on her, Hellea felt the need to reply, "My name is Hellea Abalon, daughter of Freya Abalon, and I used my mother's Arcane Arts to discern the Heavenly Secrets of the Universe. That's how I found out about my husband's tragic past. I watched his whole life up to a locked point several times, you know? And I can tell you now that even the Heavenly Secrets aren't able to reveal certain mysteries surrounding his absurd strength and powers—"
"Hold up, hold up a second, bitch!"
Not only Bella, but all of the girls, whether here or on Earth, were fiercely glaring at the confused Hellea. They looked as if they wanted to eat her alive—bones and all.
"Who's your husband!?" Bella cursed, pushing her finger hard into Hellea's perky right breast. "You must be confusing things, you whore, because the only wife of my Darling is me! So go fuck right the hell off!!"
The first part was heavily disagreed upon by Zara and the rest, but the second half they could all get behind.
Fuck this unknown bitch!
"Hmm…" Hellea appeared genuinely puzzled. "But he's definitely my husband. My mother told me only the most perfect man was destined for me, after all."
What the hell did her mother and that wanky-ass prophecy bullshit have to do with their Cassius!?
Was this woman smoking crack!??
"Listen here, you skanky, flabby cow-tit bitch—"
Suddenly!
SHING!
A crisp, resonant sword slash echoed, yet thundered like the billowing fury of a lightning dragon. The clouds above lit up with crimson before parting as a black figure shot toward the ground at speeds surpassing the concept of speed.
That black figure shattered all of the Arena's defensive barriers in his uncontrollable descent. He then collided with the Arena's ground, crashing straight through it—ultimately drilling a hole that extended thousands of light years into the World Tree's trunk.
This caused a reaction in the enormous tree itself as it shook.
The glowing, celestial silhouette of a humanoid came together in the form of countless small balls of light. This gave way to the appearance of a goddess-like woman so devastatingly beautiful that she made even world-toppling beauties like Mikaela, Memphis, and Zara feel inferior.
"We greet Mother Spirit!"
Waves of shock coursed through the hearts of every common person as the Yggdrasil Ancestors bowed in reverence. The way they addressed this unparalleled goddess carried with it the highest degrees of respect.
While everyone exhibited either surprise or amazement at the sudden appearance of the Holy Mother Spirit of Yggdrasil, the Heavenly Father was the only one whose unreadable smile widened.
However, everyone was far too absorbed in listening to the enchanting voice of the Holy Mother Spirit to even register the Heavenly Father's change in expression.
"I saw everything."
She looked to the heavens, urging all to watch as an immortal-like man bathed in an incomprehensible light descended to where Lucifer had fallen… for the second time.
"What are your intentions here, Unequal Genius of Ascension?"
The hearts of those gathered were stunned by shock.
Unequal Genius of Ascension!
What sort of Title was that, and why was someone like the Holy Mother Spirit referring to Cassius Steele by it!?
Adam Steele frowned.
On the surface, it might seem like a good thing to be singled out by a Paragon like the Holy Mother Spirit, but it was actually anything but…
"My intentions?" Cassius parroted, without even sparing the goddess-like woman a glance—his destination still where Lucifer crashed. "Above all else, I want highest-quality Tears of Yggdrasil. But this demon bird also has something I want, so I'll be taking from him as well."
So domineering!
Did this Unequal Genius of Ascension already consider himself invincible in the world!?
The Holy Mother Spirit went silent. She still had more to say, but it would seem that she'd have to wait until the battle here was over.
"I can restore the damage you caused to my main body, but it won't be so easy if you take your attacks to the next level," said the Holy Mother Spirit, as the place where Lucifer fell was burning up in immense rage. "Would you mind creating an Isolated Dimension to fight, Unequal Genius of Ascension?"
Cassius gave no response.
But ultimately nodded as he waved his hands, altering the very fabric of reality.
A portal connected to a swirling cosmic sphere appeared in front of him—one with an inner dimensional space exceeding that of a Common Universe.
"An Isolated Dimension of this caliber was actually created just like that…?" Astaroth was stunned into disbelief. "Just what sort of monster has my daughter taken a fancy to…?"
He looked over at Zaraphina, only to receive a smug expression in response.
Astaroth sighed.
As much as he wanted to hate this hybrid human, Demons were notoriously known for respecting the strong. And with what Cassius showed thus far, he was certainly deserving of all the respect that could be given.
"Fine then," Astaroth decided. "All our past grudges are now deemed null and void. As for your official relationship with my precious daughter, we'll have to discuss it later when we meet one on one."
That was assuming the Unequal Genius of Ascension could survive through the day…
OOOOM—!!!
"YOU DAMNED LITTLE BASTARD!!!!"
Lucifer exploded in anger!
Shooting up like a radioactive nuke, he ruptured the trunk of Yggdrasil. Those in the Arena felt his overwhelming killing intent chill their bones even while he was underground; however, when he emerged above the surface, that feeling multiplied manifold.
True terror!
The horrifying power of a Great Demon King revered by HELL!
Yet the one facing the brunt of his oppressive power remained expressionless and unaffected. He didn't even feel the need to shrug off the invading killing intent, for it really wasn't worth mentioning.
Lucifer didn't know this, obviously. He merely believed Cassius to be putting on a tough front.
"You think playing it cool will be enough for me to hand over my only daughter!?" he roared, gathering massive amounts of demonic energy in his palms. "Think again, brat! You're not worthy!!!"
Not worthy!?
If possibly the most monstrous genius in all of the Ascension Tower's history wasn't worthy of Lucifer's daughter, then who was??
Also, Lucifer Morningstar had a daughter!?? With whom?? And who was the child!?
Mikaela frowned deeply, staring daggers at Lucifer. In her mind, she was already imagining all the ways she'd skin him alive for revealing what was meant to be kept a secret outside their private circles.
Memphis, meanwhile, was blushing. She frequently shot furtive glances in Cassius's direction, her complexion becoming more scarlet shaded each time.
'Me and Cass…? No… Maybe… Really, you think? Cass and Me… Hihi…'
As her thoughts stirred in a weird direction, the tension building up between Lucifer and Cassius had reached its climax. And in an explosive instant, the Great Demon King burst forward with his godlike demonic halberd, Sigfried.
"Let me see if you can withstand the might of my Halberd, brat!!" Lucifer roared. "Or if you'll die the moment it… touches… you…? Huh?"
Lucifer, one of the Three Great Demon Kings, currently had his eyes bulging out of his head. He was astonished to find himself unable to move, with his body stun-locked a certain distance above the Arena of Yggdrasil.
"H-How…"
Cassius indifferently stared at the mighty Fallen Angel before blink-stepping over to his frozen figure.
"Your destructive power is not bad, and this Halberd is of a high quality," he said under the shocked eyes of the crowd. "But it's not good enough."
With a flick of his finger, Cassius shattered the Halberd. Half of Lucifer's existence was also shattered. But much to his bewilderment and everyone else's, with a pull of his index finger, Cassius rewinded the time on Lucifer's body and his Halberd.
"W-What in the hell was that!?" Lucifer was sweating bullets, a hint of fear painted on his handsome face. "You… What did you do to me…!?"
Cassius expressionlessly looked at Lucifer, a small frown forming.
"Why is it that you don't know what the Orb of Avarice is?" he asked coldly. "I searched through your origin marker in the Universe, but couldn't find anything pertaining to the Orb of Avarice."
"The Orb of Avarice!?" Lucifer spat. "What are you talking about?? I don't know of an Orb of Avarice!!!"
"...."
