"How did you think that things wouldn't work for him, Rain?" Larisa asked.

"The teleport guy said that I needed to find the sixth relic, and he only showed up after I had five of them," Rain said. "Therefore, I imagined that I would need to have the five relics with me to find the sixth. That would explain why this relic is still here, and the dragons didn't find it in fifty thousand years."

Rain's logical deduction regarding the limitations of the relic resonated with the group. Just as the system imposed restrictions and conditions, the relic seemed to have implemented its own set of limitations to ensure it remained hidden and protected. The absence of mana traces around the area further supported this theory.

It was plausible that the relic had utilized all available mana to construct its domain, possibly draining the surroundings to maintain its concealed state.

With this newfound understanding, Rain contemplated the next steps. The relic's defenses were formidable, and attempting to forcibly access its domain might lead to undesirable consequences. The group needed a strategic approach to unravel the relic's secrets without jeopardizing themselves or the relic.

The journey to uncover the mysteries of the sixth relic continued, guided by caution and the collective wisdom of those who sought its power.

"Well, my turn now?" Rain asked.

Rain wanted to ask if the others still wanted to come with him, but he felt like he would learn some things that they didn't need to know about him… it was annoying. Rain knew that hiding things was more annoying than worth the hassle, but he still felt uneasy about what might happen if they learned that he was from the past.

"I will try to return as soon as I can," Rain said and then jumped into the hole.

Everyone approached the hole to see what was happening there… Asche even used some fireballs to approach the bottom of the place, and Terra asked her to look after him, since it would be a bit too much to ask their children to look after their father… Rain's pride couldn't take that much damage.

Still, the fireballs only revealed a white and round facility buried underground, at least half of it, and Rain was nowhere to be seen… it seemed that Asche would have to explain many things to Terra when they returned.

As soon as Rain landed, he suddenly found himself in a white space… he didn't even have to touch the facility in order to make that happen. He barely had the time to frown while looking at the facility that had a spherical shape and it was five hundred meters tall and wide.

"Why was it round? It feels like someone who watched too many sci-fi movies from the previous century projected this," Rain said.

"I think that the design was cool," Nigel said.

"We have more important things to worry about right now," Larisa said.

As Rain examined the strange white space, he suddenly became aware of the presence of others. Turning around, he was surprised to find everyone else from the group there, standing in their human forms. Even Elisabetha, whose power normally allowed her appearance to remain hidden, appeared in her human form within this peculiar domain.

It became evident that the relic's creator's power overrode the relics' individual transformations. Elisabetha, though still retaining some semblance of her human appearance, couldn't entirely resist the influence of the dragon's corrupt power. Her body now bore the markings of the dragon's dark essence.

It was a disconcerting sight, as the malevolent force had altered her once graceful and imposing figure. Completely taken by shadows that looked alive and almost looked like it was devouring her alive as well.

The only feature that seemed to resist the corruption was Elisabetha's eyes. Deep blue and piercing, they held a sense of clarity and consciousness amid the corrupted transformation. While the rest of her body succumbed to the draconic influence, her eyes remained a testament to her will.

"You look like an alien from an old movie that I saw," Nigel said.

Elisabetha kicked Nigel, and he rolled on the ground while groaning in pain… he felt that it looked like, in that domain, their spiritual forms could sustain damage… which was truly dangerous. Even Rain could suffer damage there as well.

"Don't worry, I am not your enemy, and I won't do anything against you unless you deserve it."

An unknown man's voice echoed in the area, and Rain almost felt thankful that it was a man because another woman in his mental landscape would mean that his wives would drive him mad out of sheer jealousy. It wouldn't be weird if Rain starts losing hair, thanks to all that…

In any case, when he turned around, he saw particles of light joining together and eventually taking the form of a massive head. At least it was the head of a human… it sounded a bit weird since it was made of light, so that Rain couldn't help but frown.

"You can assume your human form, don't you?" Rain asked.

"I can, but this looks cooler, don't you think?" The man asked.

"Creepy is the word that I would use," Rain said.

"Regardless… it seems that someone finally found the relics that are still here," The big head said. "You all don't remember me… it is a pity, but I guess it couldn't be helped."

"It would be weird if anyone could remember a big head made of light floating," Nigel said. "Who are you?"

"My name doesn't matter anymore. We all abandoned our names when we threw away our bodies for the sake of winning the war," The man said. "My codename is Zeus."

"All right, that is enough," Rain said. "I am out of here."

It didn't matter how much knowledge and power that guy had. Rain didn't want to get involved with retards, and that guy had the makings of a big retard…
