Infinite Wealth System: Crazy Tasks, Insane Rewards!-Chapter 39: Employing Lynna [For Harem’s Sake]
Chapter 39: Employing Lynna [For Harem’s Sake]
"What the actual fuck, system?!" Jayden’s eyes widened.
Now he believed that the system was indeed crazy... Because... because no sane person would ever think of such a crazy idea.
> [Tell me. Who do you really want to deliver your revenge to? The mother, who did nothing more than advise her daughter to aim for high standards, or the daughter, who was no longer a child and knew what was right, but went ahead to betray you after all you’ve done?]
Jayden flinched, blinking.
>[Think wisely. If you can make her one of the ladies in your harem, and raise her Affection, there would be no betrayal or fraud. Lynna would love you and do anything for the success of the company. And of course, you wouldn’t have to develop any feelings for her in return.]
>[The choice is yours, host.]
Those tips sank in, quenching Jayden’s growing anger. He thought deeply about it, and it actually made sense.
The fact that he could just turn the mother against her daughter—because, definitely, Sofia would be really mad if she ever heard her mother had an affair with Jayden.
The fact that he could use the Affection bar to control her attitude and actions, too. It was something he could actually make good use of, and he had decided to consider giving it a try.
Jayden headed straight to the office after leaving the campus. Within thirty minutes, he finally arrived, as two security men approached him and greeted him.
"Good afternoon, boss."
"Good day, boss."
Jayden only smiled and waved, then one of the security men accompanied him to the top floor where the office was located.
Sabrina was there, already waiting for him to arrive. She had a complicated look on her face, but for sure, Jayden knew it was all about Lynna’s case.
"Phew, thank God you’re here," Sabrina muttered.
"Good day, boss. We’ve really been going through hell with that woman. We tried calling security, and then she started shedding tears, saying she’d collapse if she got driven away," Sabrina began explaining. freēnovelkiss.com
"You should come talk to her," she added, her voice tense.
"Ah, don’t worry. Where is she?" Jayden casually asked, like he wasn’t shaken by Lynna’s acts.
Sabrina noticed his relaxed approach and hesitated, but then she had to give a reply.
"In one of the guest counter rooms," she replied.
"All right. Call her over. I’ll handle this myself," Jayden said before going ahead to sit.
Sabrina then went ahead to fetch Lynna, and it didn’t take long before she walked in. Sabrina had also followed her in, too...
Jayden clearly figured Sabrina didn’t trust this woman and was trying to protect her boss. He inwardly acknowledged her for that, but he wondered how her reaction would be when this woman became the most loyal worker in Zintech Automobile.
Lynna quickly rushed to the guest seat, her face pale, but there was a great passion to plead... plead and beg.
"Please, Jayden. I’m so, so sorry. I never knew it would end like this someday, but I really need you to forgive me and my daughter, Sofia. We’ve made grave mistakes and have learned our lessons, but we promise to be better people henceforth," Lynna suddenly went begging, pleading for Jayden’s forgiveness.
Just like that?
Just a few days ago, she was confident about Royce and her big-fish-catching daughter. Now she was already on her knees for him?
Actually, he would have reacted differently to this, but he already had his plan. Whatever her apology and request for mercy were about, at this point, he didn’t care.
>[Harem Members: 2. (Temi Grace and Camila Frost.)]
He was just going to make sure he made them three, and that was the only thought crossing his mind at that moment.
"Let’s just erase anything that has to do with your daughter now. Please sit," Jayden said, as she stood up from kneeling on the marble floor.
"She’s so sorry, Jayden. If you can have her back, she..."
"I made myself clear, Mrs. Hartley. No words about your daughter," Jayden suddenly cut in. "You came here to get a job, right? So let’s remain professional," Jayden added.
Lynna quickly nodded, not wanting to anger him.
"After contemplating for quite a while, I’ve decided to give you the job, Mrs. Hartley," Jayden voiced.
Suddenly, Lynna’s face turned from sour to bright, a wide smile of relief crossing her cheeks.
Her gladness was certain, revealing that Zintech was definitely her last hope, truly.
"Thank you very much, Jayden. You just saved my life," she thanked, almost emotionally.
"Actually, I’d love to be called Mr. Cole in here. Or simply calling me ’boss’ is fine. Professionalism is the priority, remember," Jayden replied, and she could only be too excited to nod in approval.
Then, Sabrina, who had been observing them behind, walked forward and whispered in his ear.
"We already got a General Accountant, sir. It’s only remaining the contract signing," Sabrina said.
Jayden only shrugged. "How qualified is he or she?" he asked, not with a whisper in return, and Lynna was hearing.
"About 80 percent, sir," Sabrina hesitated and replied.
"How qualified is Mrs. Hartley?" he then asked.
"Uhm, about 89 percent, sir..."
"Good. Mrs. Hartley is getting the job. Hire the second person and assign her as Mrs. Hartley’s assistant. Then we’re good," Jayden ordered.
Sabrina nodded and left, going ahead to carry out the changes.
Then, it was only Jayden and Lynna in the office.
’It’s time,’ Jayden thought.
The next moment, he stood up.
He approached her.
She was staring at him as he walked closer.
She knew absolutely nothing about what he had in mind.
And just then, she was caught off guard.
Jayden threw his face forward...
He would have caught her lips at that instant, but he stopped just a hair’s breadth away.
Lynna froze. The reaction on her face clearly showed how fast her heart beat the moment he did that.
He made sure to maintain that closeness and the eyeball stare for a moment, then withdrew himself.
Now, he had shown her what she should expect, and that was all he wanted to do at first.
"You’re to resume next week, so don’t stress out," Jayden muttered. "Come, let’s go for a ride..."
Lynna froze again.
"A... ride?" she stammered.
"I wasn’t stammering, was I?" Jayden responded, striking a slight smile at her.
"Going or not?" he added.
The beautiful woman was completely astonished and confused about why he wanted to take her on a ride, but what choice did she have?
At least, even though it felt weird, she was willing to leave a good impression on her boss today.
Lynna nodded, and then Jayden gave her a hand as they left the office.
This was the plan...
With his intelligence growing, he sure was learning how to run some strategic activities.
From the ride, he’d see how it goes.
And hopefully, perhaps Lynna would be among the three women to visit Lightboard Penthouse.
With that, another task was taking shape.
