Chapter 57 - 52 Teachers who don’t let people rest on weekends are shit
Nanami Kento and Haibara Yu didn't expect to run into Gojo Satoru when they returned to downtown Tokyo for dinner that weekend. When Gojo and Geto Suguru walked into the restaurant, the two sitting in the corner were visibly surprised.
"Are they your friends?" Geto asked, his dark purple eyes scanning Nanami. The blond boy's expression made it clear he wasn't particularly thrilled to see Gojo.
Gojo, unfazed, simply shrugged. "They're my juniors from Jujutsu High. First years."
Geto wasn't especially interested in dealing with more sorcerers, but he gave the two a polite nod out of courtesy.
Haibara, oblivious to the tension, waved enthusiastically. "Gojo-senpai! I didn't expect to see you here. Come sit with us!"
The restaurant was packed, and with no other open seats, Geto and Gojo had no choice but to join them. They sat opposite Nanami and Haibara, who slid the menu across the table.
"We just got here and haven't ordered yet," Haibara said with a grin.
He then turned to Geto. "Are you Gojo-senpai's friend? I'm Haibara Yu, and this is Nanami Kento. We go to the same school as you."
"Nice to meet you," Geto replied. "I'm Geto Suguru, Gojo's neighbor."
Gojo gave him a look. "Neighbor? We practically see each other every day."
Ignoring that, Geto turned his attention back to Haibara. "So, what brings you two here?"
"Uh... mission work," Haibara said, hesitating slightly before glancing at Nanami. "And our teacher assigned us some research due next week."
Geto caught the underlying meaning but didn't press. He only nodded in acknowledgment.
At that moment, the restaurant owner approached, beaming. "What can I get for you?"
Geto was about to answer when he noticed something clinging to the owner's left shoulder—a cursed fish. It wasn't particularly strong, but it was still unpleasant to look at.
Before he could say anything, Nanami spoke first. "Boss, have you been feeling unwell lately?"
The owner blinked, then chuckled wryly. "Maybe just fatigue. My left shoulder's been sore, but I figure I just need some rest."
Nanami nodded, then quietly summoned a small sphere of blue cursed energy. Before the weak spirit could react, it dissipated into nothing.
Unfazed, Gojo handed the menu to the owner. "Two eel rice bowls and... two of every dessert on the menu."
The owner paused. "Two of every dessert?"
Geto chuckled. "That's right."
As the owner walked away, rolling his shoulder, he muttered, "Huh... my shoulder suddenly feels fine."

Geto turned back to Nanami, now seeing the younger sorcerer in a different light. "You guys still have homework after this?"
"Unfortunately," Haibara groaned.
"Teachers who don't let students rest on weekends are the worst," Nanami muttered, his expression blank but his tone filled with quiet frustration.
Gojo laughed. He knew how much Nanami hated overtime—even as a student, that hadn't changed.
The meal passed in relative harmony, and Geto found himself warming up to the two first-years, at least a little.
When they finished, Gojo stretched. "Well, don't let your teacher keep you waiting too long."
Nanami and Haibara headed off, and Geto watched them go. "They're on a mission, right? Should we help?"
Gojo shook his head. "They'll be fine. Nanami's solid in a fight."
Geto raised an eyebrow at that—it wasn't often that Gojo praised others so casually. "So, where are we going now?"
Before Gojo could answer, a voice called from behind. "Satoru-kun?"
They turned to see a girl with short hair walking arm-in-arm with Ran Mouri.
Gojo immediately recognized her. Suzuki Sonoko.
His Six Eyes flickered over her—no cursed energy, nothing suspicious. Just a regular high school girl.
Feigning ignorance, he asked, "Who's this?"
"This is Suzuki Sonoko," Ran introduced. "She's our classmate. Sonoko, this is Gojo Satoru, Geto's friend."
Sonoko greeted them cheerfully, her expression lighting up. "Wow, Geto's friend is also a good-looking guy! We're going to a concert—want to join us?"
Geto was about to refuse when Sonoko added, "They're playing Joe Hisaishi's music."
That made him pause.
"...Then," he turned to Gojo, as if asking his thoughts.
Gojo wasn't particularly into concerts, but he knew Geto had a soft spot for certain composers. If Geto wanted to go, he wouldn't argue.
Ten minutes later, they found themselves outside a small theater with Sonoko, Ran, and Conan.
Despite its size, the theater was packed.
Then, from behind, a familiar voice called out. "Gojo-senpai? What are you doing here?"
Gojo sighed. He had been hoping for a quiet evening.
"Haibara? Nanami? What are you guys doing here?" Geto asked, equally surprised.
