Khalifa: Queen in the Apocalypse-Chapter 181: Healing
Kylo and the rest arrived shortly after dusk.
While the mission was technically a success—with the new equipment, weapons, and resources—the atmosphere was incredibly dour.
Without any more delay, the men went straight to the hospital, praying for good news.
It was just that, they hadn’t even been able to enter the medbay and they saw General Lee there, exiting with Cauis and Hugo.
They frowned, immediately walking to them to get some news.
The general saw their pale faces. Even Kylo, known for his apathetic face, was visibly shaken at this time.
The general sighed, patting Kylo’s shoulder. "Visitation time is over. Let the girl rest."
"But—"
"She’ll be fine. The doctor says she healed well."

They then turned to the other men for confirmation. It wasn’t that they thought the general was lying, but there was a stark difference in perspectives if one’s lover was the one in danger.
Thankfully, Hugo nodded and their shoulders slumped in relief.
Cauis was silent though, no one knowing what he was thinking.
"Hey, is she really alright?" Kaize asked Cauis, seeing his damp mood.
"A-Ah, yes," he just said, before walking away back to their house with a complex amount of thoughts.
None of the others noticed this though, nor would they care, as their minds were filled with the woman inside.
Anyway, Kylo and the others could only look at the small hospital wistfully, similarly going back to their respective accommodations for a very uneasy rest.

In a house nearby, a certain middle-aged man was comforting his young lover. This young lover’s face was filled with bandages, and he patted her head gently.
"You’re not going to dislike me, are you?" She asked, acting cute, but was internally quite nervous.
Because of the lack of manpower—most of which willingly focused on Khalifa—she was treated hours later. She was afraid it affected how her scar would heal.
Burn scars! On her face!!!
She felt nauseous whenever she imagined what it could look like. She felt heavy. She herself would be disgusted, let alone a man like Hilten!
She couldn’t lose him! She let go of her plan to catch Ryo for him!
Especially, for some reason that guy Howard and some other soldiers always managed to get Ryo away from her!
But that didn’t matter, she repeated to herself. Ryo might be much more handsome and young, but he might’ve been defeated in the end!
Back in her dream, when Chris abandoned her to die, she managed to survive—by nook or by crook—and reached a nearby base. It was very small, but it was a safe base and that was all that mattered.
After arriving, she was helpless and hungry and had no choice but to sell the only thing she had: Her body.
For a while, she lived a life worse than animals. She was used and thrown away, a couple of crystals thrown at her face as a payment.
She somehow managed to snag a man to protect her and make him fall for her. Even when the small base fell from a zombie mob, she managed to grab onto him to save her life.
This man would eventually take her en route to the capitol. It was just that on the way there, they encountered another party heading there.
When she saw the man getting interested in another woman, she put some rotting zombie innards in his share. That night, while he was fucking that woman, he turned to a zombie and took her along with him.
The remainder of the party killed them both and she was the pitiful victim everyone felt for.
After a while the group arrived in the capital, but there was no more Kylo anymore by then.
On the contrary, Hilten was next to the leader—the right hand man of the new leader of the Capitol base.
He held a lot of power too, because that leader was old and didn’t want to go outside very much.
In practice, although there was a mastermind behind the scene, Hilten was basically top gun in the capitol base.
The capitol base, the center of resources, versus the weak base retrofitted from old piles of junk—which one was better?
Although she didn’t live long enough to see if Peace Base was destroyed in the end, it was good enough for her to bring Claire major trouble.
In any case, she didn’t know the timeline but she was determined to grab this thigh.
At this thought, she sobbed even more pitifully. Mira, who had mastered the art of pitiful but pretty sobbing, did her best so that even in her bandaged state she still tugged the man’s heart somehow.
"What happened?" He asked, concerned, hand hovering over her bandaged face.
Seeing his concerned look, she couldn’t help but sob genuinely, releasing the depression she had to endure all this time.
She told him of the bomb exploding nearby, how it hit her, and how she had to wait patiently until Khalifa was settled before she could speak.
She detailed how much she had to suffer in silence while waiting in the medbay.
"I see… my Mira is so pitiful…" he said very softly, and Mira couldn’t help but sob even harder as she embraced him.
Somehow they ended up on the bed, though with all lights turned off.
It was just that all throughout their lovemaking, Hilten never kissed her. Mira didn’t notice because he wreaked havoc inside her for her to realize.
Clap, clap, clap!
"Ohh, Hilten! So good, so good~ kyaaa~"
It made the man’s movements harsher, and she loved it.
Even when her face had bandages, her body was still very beautiful.
Hundreds of thrusts later, their bodies twitched.
Hilten groaned gentle love words as he climaxed, filling her up. When they completed their release, the two of them embraced as they drowned in their high.
He patted her back as she leaned on him.
"Can you tell me more about what happened in the armory?" he asked, and Mira blinked a bit, frowning that his questions weren’t about her or doing revenge for her.
However, she still knew her place and dutifully answered his question.
"The Armory had people and there were conflicts," she said, telling him about the chaos there.
She also told him how it ended—with hundreds of men taken down, most of which were by the elementalists.
"I see…" he said, eyes darkening. "No one awakened yet?"
"No, they’re all related to that woman. However, there should be others soon. One of the people at the base also awakened, but he was an ant compared to Khalifa’s men."
She said this with gritted teeth, not noticing how Hilten’s eyes brighten at the sound of her name.
Hilten’s eyes sharpened. "What is it about her…"
Mira finally noticed the different tone and immediately sat on his slightly-protruded stomach, grinding her wet slit on his length, trying to fill it up again.
"She’s just a slut," She said coquettishly, rubbing and rubbing.
"Hmm, a slut…" he whispered, touching her body everywhere in the dark.
But he felt her bandage and lost the mood for another round.
"Rest well," he said as he sat up, making Mira flop on the bed.
Mira pursed her lips and almost cried, but she kept her strong but suffering appearance, which somewhat softened his stance.
He sighed, leaning down and kissing her forehead.
"We’ll get that checked out together tomorrow."
Her shoulder slumped in relief and she gave him the most beautiful smile she could muster. "Okay~"

The next day, the men went to the hospital to check on Khalifa. Despite her many wounds, she was basically good as new except for a few shallow wounds.
It was indeed abnormal, and it caught the attention of the entire hospital.
"Have you forgotten how she healed the general?" Kylo said, not comfortable with the type of attention Khalifa was getting.
The others nodded, thinking it made sense. If anything, it was likely her ability started to heal her body.
For a while after that, it was quiet and only those around her room were those who were genuine concerned about her.
However, the peace didn’t last when a nurse who was doing her rounds exclaimed.
"She’s burning up!"
"What?" The doctor said, "Check it again."
The nurse nodded, taking her temperature, seeing it even higher than before.
The nurse’s eyes widened as she saw the thermometer’s stem rise up in a visible manner. Khalifa was really burning up!
"Doctor!!"
The men’s hearts tightened but they knew they would not help by interrupting. Instead, they stood back near the walls to give ample space to the doctors and nurses, though they were barely blinking or breathing the whole time.
"I.. I don’t understand! She was fine!" The doctor said, "I just checked this morning and she should’ve awakened by now!"
They quickly took some blood for testing, and fortunately they had equipment to show the results immediately.
Immediately, however, it was still slow and those medical personnel that remained in the room felt cold under the dark atmosphere of Khalifa’s men.
"Such levels of serotonin and estrogen is unprecedented!"
She then began to moan erotically that made all men harden.
"Ah, it’s fine." Kylo said, face stoic as always. "She had a similar affliction before."
"Eh?"
"Yes, we handled it before and it should be the same now."
Kylo had a straight face as he said this. So straight-laced that the doctor had no idea what he was talking about.
"We can handle it from here."
