Legendary FBI Detective-Chapter 290: Making Those Who Hurt You Earn Money for You
Hearing Reesi say that she knew about Tina's situation, Luo An was slightly startled and turned to ask:
"What's the situation?"
"…Don't get the wrong idea, okay?"
Reesi threw Luo An a pair of sanitary balls. Although she was a lesbian, as a federal law enforcement officer, she would never knowingly break the law, especially not with someone who was underage. She simply wouldn't engage with the person in question.
Luo An believed Reesi on this point and didn't think she was lying, so he asked:
"What exactly happened?"
"This Tina isn't just a simple ordinary girl as she appears to be on the surface."
Reesi explained that when she had just moved into Vivian's apartment, she habitually placed some security devices in her room, and the next day she discovered that her belongings had been tampered with.
Although nothing was lost, Reesi immediately became vigilant and began to investigate covertly, finding out that the person sneaking into her room was actually the landlord's sister, the high school student Tina.
When Reesi first met Tina, she didn't notice anything off about her, but upon investigation, she was in for a big surprise.
"On the surface, Tina is just a high school student, but in fact, the money she has saved up far exceeds her sister Vivian's imagination."
Reesi took a deep breath, her face very serious, yet there was still a shocked light in her eyes:
"Tina is a very smart girl. When she first came to Los Angeles to attend high school, she was bullied due to being unfamiliar with the place.
But Tina somehow managed to turn the tables on the girls who bullied her, and by the first holiday break, she had sent those girls to the beds of some wealthy men, making money and splitting the profits thirty to seventy."
Luo An's mouth twitched:
"Tina takes thirty percent? What about herself? Does she do this kind of work, too?"
"The first one is correct, Tina indeed takes thirty percent.
But the second one is wrong. Up to this morning when I last saw her, Tina was still a virgin."
Reesi was confident that her judgment was not wrong on this second point.
"…Okay."
Luo An opened his mouth and chose to trust Reesi on this point. After thinking carefully, he asked a question that puzzled him:
"But according to what Vivian says, their parents are very strict with Tina. How did she manage to do all those things?"
"That happened during high school."
Reesi glanced at Vivian, who was sitting on a distant rock, and spoke in a low voice:
"Tina's parents are not in Los Angeles. It was only because Vivian worked in Los Angeles that they allowed Tina to come to Los Angeles for high school and hoped that Vivian would take her sister under close supervision.
However, Vivian is a small actress in Hollywood and is so busy that she doesn't have time to pay close attention to Tina, only monitoring her through phone calls or other means.
Tina is very clever and rarely slips up when doing things, and her grades have always been good without decline. Thus, Vivian never discovered the other side of her good sister."
"…Six."
Luo An was silent for a few seconds, looking at the beautiful girl's body being carried away by the trace examination department with much emotion.
School violence is a persistent problem in Federation Society, and there are numerous cases involving bloodshed every year, with countless students, teachers, and parents injured or killed.
But Tina's method of sending the people who hurt her to the beds of the wealthy and making money for herself was something Luo An had never seen before.
"Go back and comfort Vivian. Remember to come to work on time in the morning."
Luo An patted Reesi's shoulder and yawned.
This night had been filled with too many incidents. Helping Mona fall into a deep sleep had exhausted a lot of his time and energy. Messing with computers and chips didn't take much physical strength, but it took a lot of his time.
And now here was a big murder case.
Although physical stimulant drugs could keep him from feeling tired, they couldn't dispel the mental exhaustion.
"No problem."
Seeing Luo An yawn tiredly, an enlightening look flashed in Reesi's eyes. She patted Luo An's shoulder and spoke softly:
"I know some small tricks that can subdue the enemy quickly without using much strength. Do you want to know?"
Reesi didn't feel there was anything wrong with saying this to Mona; after all, in the end, she would be the beneficiary.
"Hm?"
Luo An, who had just killed four people during the day, subconsciously thought she was referring to killing techniques. Knowing Reesi's limited fighting skills, he looked puzzled at her, but seeing the light in her eyes, Luo An realized she was talking about killing techniques.
"Hmph!"
With a cold snort, Luo An, with his system-assisted mind, is full of confidence in his own physical strength and doesn't need to learn anything from Reesi, the lesbian.
Reesi thought Luo An's cold snort signaled a refusal, and was just about to turn and leave when Luo An suddenly whispered in her ear:
"Prepare a report and hand it to me discreetly."
Ignoring Reesi's speechless expression selectively, Luo An walks away with an air of righteousness, taking long strides.
It's not that he lacks confidence in himself; there's an old saying from the Far East across the Pacific: "A man can never have too many skills."
Luo An has always been a person who likes to learn new knowledge.

The next day, outside the morgue of the FBI Los Angeles Branch.
"Hello, Deputy Group Leader Greenwood, my name is Paul."
The forensic doctor here is a rotund, very overweight, bald, smiling, middle-aged Caucasian in his forties.
"Hello, Paul."
The smile on his face is infectious, and Luo An couldn't help but smile back:
"Just call me Luo An."
Paul has been working here for twenty years and, despite not being at a high level, Luo An, ever polite, respects his senior.
"Then, I'll call you Deputy Group Leader Luo An."
Forensic Doctor Paul, still smiling, handed Luo An a mask, telling him that he had heard about Luo An's actions in the bank robbery case and admired him, saying that if he were twenty years younger, he would definitely send a letter of interest to join the Special Investigation Team.
Luo An takes the mask without wearing it and exchanges a few pleasantries with Paul, then steers the conversation toward the matter at hand:
"How is it, were the autopsies for those eight bodies from last night completed?"
Seeing Luo An take but not wear the mask, the smile on Forensic Doctor Paul's face brightened even further as he pushed open the morgue door, saying as he walked:
"My colleagues and I have finished, but we haven't written the autopsy report yet."
"Hard work."
Glancing at the eight corpses in the room, Luo An selectively ignores the odd smell and asks:
"What was the cause of death?"
"Drug overdose."
Forensic Doctor Paul pulls over a chair to sit down, folds his hands in front of his chest:
"In the stomachs of these eight deceased, we found fentanyl and carfentanil."
"A lethal combination."
Luo An clicks his tongue; carfentanil is normally used to sedate elephants, and these young people were only a little over a hundred pounds—no match for elephants weighing several tons.
"Any other findings?"
"Yes."
Paul leads Luo An deeper into the morgue, lifts the white cloth from one of the bodies, and says:
"This girl's situation is a bit more complicated than the others."
Luo An looks down and sees that the girl is Vivian's sister Tina.
"What's complicated?"
Paul picks up a piece of paper from the side and hands it to Luo An, who glances at the contents, his expression growing complex.
Ten minutes later, Luo An returns to the Special Investigation Team. Mona sits calmly drinking coffee in her chair, while Reesi is focused on writing something far from Mona.
Seeing Luo An's return, Reesi immediately closes the folder on the table:
"Any clues?"
"Of course."
Luo An passes the paper in his hand to Reesi, about to ask Mona about the research on the information of the eight deceased when his phone in his pocket suddenly rings.
