Life In The Limelight : I Married A Gamer Girl-Chapter 60: New House
Chapter 60 - New House
After years of building their careers and working on games that had brought them both success and fulfillment, Kazuma and Masako decided it was finally time to take the next step in their lives. They had accumulated millions of dollars from their games, investments, and their most recent project's wild success, but until now, they had been perfectly content living in their cozy apartment.
However, there was one thing about apartment life that had started to grate on them—the thin walls.
Masako leaned against the kitchen counter one morning, sipping her coffee as she stared thoughtfully out the window. Kazuma, still in his pajama pants and an old T-shirt, walked in and stretched with a yawn.
"Morning, sweetie," he said, kissing her cheek.
"Morning, dear," Masako replied, her golden eyes distant.
Kazuma raised an eyebrow. "You're thinking about something."
Masako tilted her head, her lips curling into a playful smile. "Do you remember last week? When we were... busy, and the neighbors started banging on the wall?"
Kazuma groaned, running a hand through his hair. "How could I forget? I thought they were going to knock the whole wall down."
Masako giggled. "I think we've finally outgrown this apartment."
Kazuma blinked. "Wait... are you saying—"
"Yes." She set her coffee down, turning to face him. "Let's buy a house."
Kazuma stared at her for a moment, then broke into a grin. "About time."
Masako laughed, leaning into him. "I mean, we're 26. We've got plenty of life left to live, and I want us to be able to fully love each other without worrying about thin walls, nosy neighbors, or space."
Kazuma wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close. "You had me at 'fully love each other.'"
Masako smirked. "I knew that'd convince you."
House Hunting
Over the next few weeks, the couple toured dozens of houses, looking for the perfect place. They wanted something that fit both their personalities—modern yet warm, with plenty of space for their work and their love.
Masako fell in love with the idea of a large kitchen with an island, perfect for their cooking adventures. Kazuma, on the other hand, wanted a spacious office where they could set up their dual gaming and development rigs.
One afternoon, they toured a sleek, modern house on the outskirts of the city. It had four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a massive open living room, a gourmet kitchen, and even a private pool.
Masako wandered through the house, running her fingers along the marble countertops in the kitchen. "This place feels... perfect."
Kazuma followed her into the master bedroom, his eyes widening at the sheer size of it. "Look at this room! We could fit a whole couch in here. And the bed... it's huge."
Masako turned to him, her golden eyes sparkling. "We could make a lot of memories in here, dear."
Kazuma smirked, stepping closer. "You're already planning things, aren't you?"
"Always," Masako teased, brushing her fingers against his chest.
They toured the backyard next, where the pool sparkled under the sun. Masako's eyes lit up. "A private pool! No more crowded swimming trips!"
Kazuma chuckled, picturing Masako lounging by the pool in her favorite swimsuit. "You're sold, aren't you?"
Masako nodded. "Completely."
Kazuma smiled, pulling her close. "Then let's get it. If this is the house you want, it's ours."

After finalizing the purchase, the couple moved into their new home. The transition was smooth, and they took their time decorating each room, adding personal touches to make the house truly theirs.
Kazuma set up their office space, complete with matching desks, high-end gaming chairs, and shelves filled with collectibles from their favorite games and anime.
Masako focused on the kitchen and living room, adding warm lighting, cozy furniture, and even a few plants to give the house a lived-in feel.
One evening, after unpacking the last box, the couple stood in the middle of their massive living room, looking around at their new space.
Masako sighed contentedly, leaning against Kazuma. "It feels... surreal. Like this is the start of something new."
Kazuma wrapped an arm around her, kissing the top of her head. "It is. This house is ours, sweetie. No neighbors to bother us, no walls to hold us back. Just... us."
Masako grinned, turning to face him. "So, dear... now that we've got all this space, what's the first thing you want to do?"
Kazuma smirked, pulling her closer. "You already know the answer to that."
Masako laughed, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Well, I guess it's time to test the soundproofing."
Kazuma lifted her off her feet, carrying her toward their bedroom as her laughter filled the house.
That night, the couple celebrated their new home in a way that only they could—fully and without restraint. For the first time, they didn't have to worry about walls, neighbors, or limits. It was just them, their love, and the future they were building together.
As they lay in bed afterward, tangled in each other's arms, Masako whispered, "This was the right decision."
Kazuma smiled, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. "I agree. Here's to our new life, sweetie."
Masako snuggled closer, her voice soft. "Here's to us."
They fell asleep that night with smiles on their faces, dreaming of the endless memories they would create in their new home.
