Love? The Reborn Me Just Wants to Obtain Rewards-Chapter 895 - 371: Boss Yu is Great
Chapter 895: Chapter 371: Boss Yu is Great
After resting on the mountain for two days, early the next morning, the busy crowd tearfully bid farewell and returned to their hectic routines.
Su Huai and Gu Jiuyue were exceptions.
He specifically took a day off to accompany Jiuyue to the Shenshu Ping Panda Breeding Base.
"Wow! There are so many people here!"
The moment she got out of the car, Jiuyue was visibly excited.
Su Huai held the umbrella for her, while Wu and several assistants surrounded her, worried she might get bumped by some careless person.
"Where do we go to see the panda cubs?"
Su Huai lovingly pinched her hand. "Don’t worry, someone’s coming to pick us up."
It wasn’t just someone—it was a whole group of people.
Spending money does make a difference. The head of the breeding center and his team were waiting at the entrance, escorting them through the VIP passage into the facility.
Along the way, everyone couldn’t stop thanking Su Huai and Gu Jiuyue, repeatedly expressing how the 10 million donation had solved a major problem.
"You’re too kind."
Su Huai chuckled softly, politely declining their flattery.
Years ago, major panda breeding centers were indeed severely underfunded and relied heavily on public donations to operate.
But things are different now. With the development of the economy, those financial struggles are long gone.
Besides, people’s obsession and fondness for pandas grow stronger each day. Revenue from ticket sales alone is enough to sustain various programs. Adoption and donations from private benefactors are now primarily a promotional tool.
So, even though Su Huai donated 10 million, he didn’t treat himself like a king and maintained an affable demeanor.
Inside the base, the director and keepers escorted them to Panyu City to see the panda cubs.
On the way, a keeper proudly introduced, "You came at the perfect time. Our panda, Princess Linbing, just gave birth to a pair of twins—one male, one female. They’re less than a month old, and you’re the first outsiders to see them."
"Wow! Newborn twins?"
Gu Jiuyue was overjoyed and tugged at Su Huai forcefully, almost skipping in her excitement.
"Calm down, calm down," Su Huai quickly wrapped an arm around her shoulder, gently scolding, "If you like them, we’ll adopt one. Why are you so worked up?"
"Oh!"
Jiuyue stuck out her tongue playfully, took a deep breath, and tried to settle her emotions.
But...
She just couldn’t calm down.
"Let go of me," she murmured softly, twisting slightly, murmuring like a mosquito, "There are people around."
So she means it’s okay to cuddle if there’s nobody watching?
Gou Huai chuckled lightly, released her, and didn’t tease her further.
In truth, their physical intimacy had become frequent and natural. She wasn’t genuinely bothered by others’ gazes—it was more a natural nervousness tied to crossing boundaries.
Gou Huai had been subtly increasing the level of physical contact recently, not to rush the relationship, but to let her gradually get used to the accelerated heartbeat.
Adding a bit of incremental "health," she was still delicate, but compared to before, there had been solid progress.
A little extra tension occasionally might even benefit her.
Andy and the team discreetly observed the duo, revealing subtle "auntie smiles" without meaning to.
They strolled over to the breeding room. The moment Jiuyue saw the cubs, her attention totally abandoned Su Huai.
"Wow! They’re so tiny and adorable!"
Panda cubs might just be the cutest creatures on earth. Tiny, barely starting to grow fuzz, wriggling side to side, making faint "ying-ying" noises.
Moreover, panda cubs at different ages show different kinds of endearing qualities: newborns are pink and chubby; slightly older ones develop shiny black eyes; those over three months start crawling slowly, while half-year-olds become lively and playful like little fluffy balls.
The director smiled warmly at Jiuyue, speaking to her kindly: "Let’s head inside for a closer look."
After undergoing strict sanitation procedures, Su Huai held Jiuyue’s hand as they followed staff into the breeding room.
The cubs were so young that even sanitized individuals were discouraged from touching them. Jiuyue and Su Huai followed the rules carefully, sitting on the floor in the center to play with the older cubs upon the staff’s guidance.
Jiuyue gently stroked one particular cub that stayed close to her, her face filled with amazement.
"Wow! Is the fur on babies always this coarse?"
The keeper watched her cautious reaction with amusement and said, "You can use a little more strength to rub them, it’s perfectly okay."
Su Huai gently rubbed another cub’s scalp while offering his own commentary.
"Yes, their fur is quite coarse—not as smooth and fine as you’d imagine. But their chubby little bodies make the overall texture oddly satisfying."
"Got it."
Jiuyue mustered her courage and carefully picked up one of the cubs, placing it on her lap to cuddle.
"Wow! They’re really too adorable!"
She might have some special animal affinity; within no time, she was surrounded by little fluffy balls. Several naughty little cubs kept climbing toward her, though they lacked the strength in their limbs and ended up adorably stuck against her.
"Haha, it seems like they really like me!"
"Indeed!" The staff nodded warmly. "Even the volunteers don’t seem as popular as you, Miss Gu."
"Really?"
Jiuyue bent down joyfully, shaking their hands one by one: "Thank you all so much!"
After playing with the panda cubs for about twenty minutes, the little ones started getting sleepy. Reluctantly, Jiuyue left the room and immediately decided to adopt all of them.
"Each one costs a million, right? How many cubs don’t have sponsors yet?"
Su Huai pulled her back, amused. "What’s that about? Leave some for others. One for each of us is more than enough."
Su Huai wasn’t worried about money; he simply understood that the true value of adoption lies in frequent visits.
