This was the first time he did so he wasn’t as fast as the knight but he was still fast enough.

Ethan dashed forward towards the knight who reacted immediately and thrust his sword forward towards Ethan.

"Haa..." Ethan screamed as he felt intense pain in his right hand but ignored it as he swung his fist towards the knight.

The knight blocked Ethan’s fist with his hand, but as soon as Ethan’s fist made contact, the knight’s hand was pulverized along with the knight’s stomach, leaving a large hole as the knight was pushed into the wall.

Ethan fell to the ground and stopped himself with his left hand so he was on his knee as he looked toward the knight.

"If you survive, then infuse Mana and place your hands on the ground and say ’I summon you Varek the undying" the knight spoke as his body began to disintegrate and the knight’s crystal appeared in its hand, and he tossed it towards Ethan.

Ethan could barely hear what the knight was saying, and at this crucial moment, Hal wasn’t here; no one was here, and he was going to die alone.

Dora immediately rushed towards him and held him. His eyes were closed, but he was still breathing. She immediately tried to heal him, but there were just too many things damaged and broken in Ethan’s body.

But he was still breathing, and that was all that mattered; she couldn’t bring him back from the dead, but she could stop him from dying.

"Shouldn’t the sword be taken out of him first?" Sarah asked Cath who supported Dora.

"Are you crazy? Do you want him to bleed out and die? We have to stop the bleeding and use Mana to activate his cells, then we can take the sword out," Cath spoke.

"I’ll call..." Maria muttered weakly as she placed her hands on the ground.

Ethan could hear voices around him but couldn’t make out a word they were speaking; a sudden relief washed over him in that moment; at least he would be buried instead of eaten by beasts; Ethan smiled a bit before losing consciousness.

A bright light shone in front of the dorm room in the academy and the nine of them appeared there along with the lady that brought them through.

"He’s not breathing again; get me all the healers among the first year, and that girl with lightning affinity immediately," Dora shouted.

The first-year students were currently done with training and were all in the dueling arena when the message was passed to the instructors, who quickly gathered the students and rushed there.

The rest of the students quickly followed to see what was going on, and they were shocked to see Ethan in the condition he was in; Isabella immediately broke into tears as she saw Ethan.

All the first-year healers were gathered, and Edith was there.

"Control your lightning and deliver a small shock to his chest, that should restart his heart" Dora spoke.

Most instructors in the academy weren’t healers; only Dora was the healer still working in the academy, but a message had already been sent to another powerful healer in the royal palace.

Edith did as she was told, using only a tiny fragment of her power to shock Ethan’s chest, but it did nothing. Still, Dora told her to continue, which she did.

Dora and the other healer continued infusing Mana into Ethan’s body, healing and causing his cells to activate on their own, further healing his body.
