Chapter 270: Chapter 271 A meal

A smile formed on his face, Anna was still shy, and now with his hands well, she was going to experience his skill and techniques.

But it wasn’t going to be right now, Ethan had just arrived and he was slightly tired and a little hungry and of course he was now in the palace so he was going to look around, and from looking around find out which room the Queen was staying.

Just in case he made a wrong turn and landed in the Queen room naked.

"So the Queen is scared of you?" Ethan asked breaking the silence as he sat down.

"She’ll not scared of me, it’s just a joke, I can’t even hold a candle to Isabella not to talk of the Queen" Anna replied, "But I’m good in politics, I’ve been in the council since I was 17" Anna

"17...so you’ve been involved in making life changing decisions since you were 17, that must have been overwhelming"

"It didn’t feel like that back then, the kingdom was at war and my mother was away, so maybe it was a little life changing, but it was towards the end of the war, and after that I was made a council member"

"See, you’re no more looking away, so tell me more about yourself?"

"Really?" Anna asked with a smile on her face.

"Sure, I would like to know more about you, or do you want to..." Ethan paused and didn’t say anything after that.

"What do you want to know, I don’t think there are many things about me that’s interesting unlike my sister?"

"You really like your sister"

"Yes, I love her, but we don’t really connect that much, and I haven’t seen her since she went to the academy" Anna spoke.

"She’s doing fine, do you have any hobbies or things you like to do?"

I don’t go out much," Anna said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "But there’s a vineyard inside the palace that I take care of. I even make wine there, though I have some help."

Ethan’s eyes lit up. "You make wine? That’s impressive. Do you have any with you now?"

Before Anna could answer, a knock on the door interrupted their conversation.

"Your Highness," a maid’s voice called from outside. "The Queen has invited both of you to join her for a meal."

"A meal?" Anna echoed.

"Yes, Your Highness," the maid confirmed.

Anna glanced at Ethan. "If you’d prefer not to dine with the Queen, I can have the maid bring your food here instead."

Ethan shook his head. "No, it’s fine. I’ll go."

Anna stood up smoothing her dress as she led the way with Ethan following behind, the grandeur of the palace would always amazing him, the people who built it did a damn good job, with magic anything seems possible.

They walked past series of maids and finally reached the previous room where Ethan and Maria came the last time, the Queen was already seated but she hadn’t started eating.

Ethan bowes his head as the maid pulled out a chair and he sat down, the Queen was just staring at Ethan with a smile on her face.

"Why do you still have your hands tied, are you still injured?" The Queen asked.

"No Your Majesty, I just like it" Ethan replied.

"Just answer, no need to call me your Majesty, it makes you uncomfortable, I’m sure it does since you’ve spent a lot of time with Isabella" the Queen spoke.

"It doesn’t make me uncomfortable, I’m just not used to it since I haven’t actually been in the palace" Ethan replied.

"See, you already dropped your majesty" the Queen spoke.

(Why would someone from a modern world be comfortable with saying your majesty each time)

’I hate it, at least she knows, and besides I’m going to bang her, we need to be casual before that happens’

The Queen leaned forward slightly, her gaze curious. "So, how’s the academy? I’ve heard you’re one of the best mages there."

"I wouldn’t say that," Ethan replied modestly.

"Really? That’s not what I’ve been told. Stop selling yourself short."

Ethan smirked. "Well, if we’re being honest, I’m not one of the best. I am the best."

The Queen laughed softly. "Oh, really? Do you know what it took to be considered a veteran ten years ago? Survive a battle and return home alive."

Anna, sensing where the conversation was headed, cut in. "Mother, stop talking about the war. It’s over."

"Yes, it is," the Queen agreed, leaning back in her chair. "And now life is so dreadfully boring."

"You have everything you could possibly want," Anna pointed out. "What more could you need? If you’re looking for a challenge, you could spar with one of the academy heads."

The Queen scoffed. "That wouldn’t be fun. They wouldn’t dare go all out against me. Injuring the Queen is considered treason, no matter how much I insist otherwise. I even threatened to have Maria beheaded, and she still refused to take me seriously."

"That’s the law," Anna said firmly. "Perhaps you should spar with Isabella instead. She wouldn’t hold back."

"Isabella? She’s far too weak," the Queen dismissed. Her eyes shifted to Ethan. "But you..."

Ethan held up a hand. "I’m not sparring with you, Your Majesty."

At that moment, the maids began bringing in an assortment of dishes, ending the conversation. Ethan’s eyes widened at the sight of the elaborate meal. The table was laden with foods he’d never seen before, a feast fit for royalty.

"Let’s eat" The Queen spoke as she picked up a fork and a knife.

(Dude, I thought the Queen would be hardened, she’s chill... banging her would be easier than I thought)

’Sure, but till it happens’

...

None of them said a word from when they began eating till the end when the Queen was done, and then Anna was done, Ethan wasn’t yet filled but since both of them were done, he also stopped eating.
