Chapter 6265: Xian Jing and Xian Shi
Chapter 6265: Xian Jing and Xian Shi
The Seven Realms Immortal Sect’s sectmaster and elders were waiting for Chu Feng and Jie Shanxian at the entrance. They were accompanied by a group of young world spiritists.
“Father, will Chu Feng dare come after revealing his identity?” a fair-skinned man standing next to the Seven Realms Immortal Sect’s sectmaster asked.
He looked beautiful despite being a man, but he had a mean-spirited face.
“I don’t know. I hope they’ll come,” the Seven Realms Immortal Sect’s sectmaster replied unconfidently.
Jie Shanxian had told them to head back and wait for her. The earlier situation was too complicated for them to follow Jie Shanxian, so they could only make use of the chaos to slip away.
He was regretting his decision now. He was worried that Jie Shanxian wouldn’t dare to come.
“I don’t think we should wait any longer,” the fair-skinned man said.
“Little brother, what makes you say that?” a beautiful woman with a pair of blue eyes asked the fair-skinned man.
The beautiful woman and the fair-skinned man bore a striking resemblance to each other, hinting that they were both the Seven Realms Immortal Sect’s sectmaster’s offspring.
“If the rumors are true, and he possesses the Genesis Bloodline and the Ruler’s Bloodline, he would surely move prudently. He knows next to nothing about us, so how can he know whether we covet his possessions or not? Anyone else in his position wouldn’t dare to come unless they know us well enough or have a powerhouse’s backing,” the fair-skinned man replied.
Many nodded in agreement.
Even the Seven Realms Immortal Sect’s sectmaster let out a sigh. He also understood as much, but he still hoped that Chu Feng and Jie Shanxian would come.
All of a sudden, the Seven Realms Immortal Sectmembers’ faces lit up in delight. They couldn’t believe their eyes.
Chu Feng, Jie Shanxian, and Wang Qiang had appeared in their line of sight!
Chu Feng and Jie Shanxian had reverted to their original appearances, but Wang Qiang maintained his disguise.
The Seven Realms Immortal Sect’s sectmaster and his sectmembers stepped forward to welcome them. It was their first time seeing Jie Shanxian’s true appearance, but they could tell right away that she was the Heavenly Dragon World Spiritist.
“I’m grateful for your trust in our sect,” the sectmaster said.
“You need not thank me. Just don’t betray our trust,” Jie Shanxian replied.
“Of course. This way please.”
Chu Feng and the others were brought into the Seven Realms Immortal Sect.
The Seven Realms Immortal Sect lived up to its reputation as a world spiritist power. Everything within was conjured by formations, with plants and buildings emitting lights of different intensities. Colorful lights filled their eyes as if they had stepped into a wonderland.
“Do these f-f-fossils think that this is beautiful? It’s just l-l-light pollution!” Wang Qiang complained to Chu Feng via voice transmission.
“They are from the Ancient Era. It can’t be helped that our sense of aesthetics differs,” Chu Feng replied discreetly. He agreed with Wang Qiang’s evaluation.
A natural item emitting light looked divine, but having artificially constructed items emit light too felt too intentional.
Chu Feng’s group was first brought to a palace to rest.
The Seven Realms Immortal Sect’s sectmaster left with some elders under the pretext that he had to make some preparations, though he left some elders and juniors behind to host them.
“Brother, these people don’t seem r-r-reliable. They are looking at you with r-r-ravenous eyes like a wolf preying on a l-l-little rabbit,” Wang Qiang said via voice transmission, though it was relayed to Jie Shanxian too this time.
He was indirectly grumbling at Jie Shanxian for bringing them here and demanding her to take responsibility for their safety.
“Don’t stray away from my line of sight. I can guarantee your safety no matter what they are up to,” Jie Shanxian replied via voice transmission.
“Young master Chu Feng, allow me to introduce ourselves. I am the clan chief’s daughter, Xian Jing, and this is my younger brother, Xian Shi,” the beautiful woman approached Chu Feng and said. [1]
“Pu...” Wang Qiang burst into laughter. “A-a-are you two natural oddities?!”
“Young master, what makes you say so?” Xian Jing was confused.
“Your names sound like cultivation resources!” Wang Qiang chortled.
Xian Jing frowned. Xian Shi even began emanating killing intent.
Jie Shanxian turned her eyes to Xian Shi, and a terrifying chill enveloped the palace, overshadowing even Xian Shi’s killing intent.
The elders tensed up upon sensing something amiss with the situation. Xian Jing patted Xian Shi’s back, and the latter retracted his killing intent.
In response, Jie Shanxian retracted her aura.
To defuse the situation, Xian Jing smiled at Wang Qiang and said, “Young master, you sure know how to pull our legs. We got our names from our father. He hopes for me to be as brilliant as crystals and my brother to be as resilient as stones.”
“I see. Those are g-g-good names,” Wang Qiang replied with a smile.
He didn’t care about the origin of their names; he was just happy that Jie Shanxian had stood up for him.
“B-b-bravo, elder,” Wang Qiang sent a voice transmission to Jie Shanxian.
Jie Shanxian didn’t reply, but Wang Qiang’s smile remained unabated. He was at fault for making fun of the other party’s name on their first meeting, but Jie Shanxian didn’t berate him and even stood up for him when the other party threatened him.
This convinced Wang Qiang that Jie Shanxian was a trustworthy person.
“Brother Chu Feng, I have long heard about you. I heard you possess the Ruler’s Bloodline and are the strongest world spiritist in the present era,” the fair-skinned Xian Shi remarked.
“Those are just rumors,” Chu Feng replied with a smile.
“You’re humble, but humility often stems from a lack of confidence. It looks like you don’t think that you’re worthy of your title as the strongest junior world spiritist.”
The terrifying chill enveloped the palace once again as soon as Xian Shi said those words, causing the elders to tense up.
“Has your father not taught you any manners?” Jie Shanxian coldly spat.
“Forgive me for my discourtesy, elder, but I’m just cracking a joke. I didn’t say a word either when that stutterer cracked a joke with me. Wouldn’t it be narrow-minded to crack jokes about others but not allow the other way around?” Xian Shi asked.
The displeasure in Jie Shanxian’s eyes flared.
“It’s fine, elder.” Chu Feng sent a voice transmission to Jie Shanxian, and the latter finally retracted her aura.
“Chu Feng, here’s a welcome gift,” Xian Shi said as he took out a purple stone around the size of a chicken egg.
This stone was a cultivation resource. It had many bumps and dents as if it was formed by stacking sand, and it emanated powerful spirit power.
“Brother Chu Feng, you can take it with you if you can refine it. Otherwise, I can only say that you’re unfated with it,” Xian Shi said.
“W-w-what do you mean by that? You first said that it’s a w-w-welcome gift, but now you’re imposing a c-c-criterion on it,” Wang Qiang said in displeasure.
“That’s our rule here,” Xian Shi replied before turning his attention back to Chu Feng. “Brother Chu Feng, are you interested in giving it a try?”
Without waiting for an answer, he added, “I hope you aren’t intimidated.”
1. Xian Jing is ‘Immortal Crystal’ whereas Xian Shi is ‘Immortal Stone’. ☜
