Marvel : I'm in Westview Town-Chapter 128: The Fierce Battle Begins
Chapter 128 - 128: The Fierce Battle Begins
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Your thoughts are extremely stupid. No wonder those apostles are like you—absolutely disgusting," the Dark Witch snapped abruptly. With a wave of her hand, beams of scarlet energy shot forward, crackling with immense force—like a nuclear core ready to erupt, terrifying and overwhelming.
"Let me see for myself just how powerful the Scarlet Witch who's mastered the complete Darkhold truly is!" Nightmare sneered, unfazed by her words. His laughter echoed eerily—like a true demon stepping into reality, oozing fear and dread that made the scalp tingle.
He stretched his large hand outward and clenched slightly. Instantly, invisible forces erupted outward, cloaking the once-bright sky in suffocating darkness. Under the command of this energy, silver lightning bolts flickered erratically—maddened, as if they had become rabid beasts rampaging across the clouds.
Zzzzzz!!
Bolts of lightning crashed down from above—unrelenting, like an imprisoned monster finally unleashed, tearing through the heavens in a frenzy.
The two opposing forces collided in a shattering crescendo. The sky roared with a deafening explosion, and even the moonlight seemed to falter beneath the weight of their might.
Most of the terrain below fractured like shattered glass, the cracks spreading outward in a chaotic web. The once-proud hill behind them collapsed, as if crushed by the detonation of a million energy cores.
Kamar-Taj's sacred structures weren't spared. Debris from shattered stones and splintered ground rained down, destroying rooftops and monuments, leaving only wreckage in their wake.
The Dark Witch stared intently toward the hill's ruins. She didn't dare relax. That strange energy had stirred a primal unease deep within her—an unstable, unpredictable force that gnawed at her instincts.
"Careful!!"
The Dark Witch cried out suddenly, directing her warning toward Finn. With a tight grimace, she raised her arms. A scarlet shield formed instantly, wrapping Finn in a dense, magical barrier.
Bang! Bang! Bang!!
The storm of debris hammered against the shield, but it held. Finn looked up—calm, unshaken. His body was wreathed in shadows, and in a blink, he transformed into a mass of black energy and darted directly toward Nightmare.
"Your time has come."
No banter, no hesitation. The Sword of the Vishanti surged with power in Finn's grip, its blade brimming with the fury of a cosmic tempest. He hurtled toward Nightmare like a meteor breaking orbit.
With a fierce cry, Finn unleashed his strike. The sword's energy detonated outward like a tsunami, flooding the air with stellar brilliance. A golden light erupted from the blade's core.
"Do you truly believe this is enough to defeat me? If so, then you're even more foolish than I thought," Nightmare mocked, cold and cutting.
He spread his arms wide. Black tendrils of dark energy burst from him, forming a swarm of demonic skulls that flew straight at Finn and the Dark Witch—and scattered, targeting Stephen Strange and the others below as well.
"Help the witch!" Finn ordered the Dark Witch, then charged Nightmare head-on.
She didn't argue. Nodding silently, she soared downward toward Wanda's position. She understood his intention perfectly. This other version of the Scarlet Witch was still growing into her power—alone, she wouldn't withstand this onslaught.
With her departure, Finn raised the Sword of the Vishanti. The celestial glow from the blade eclipsed the sky itself as he met Nightmare mid-air.
"You're weak," Nightmare sneered, watching the charge with indifference, bored by the supposed threat.
"Is that so?"
Finn smirked, his aura shifting—growing more unhinged, more primal. A hidden storm surged within him. The presence he exuded now wasn't just dangerous—it was transcendent.
Bang!!!
Without warning, Finn swung his blade again, releasing another crushing wave of energy. Heat rippled through the atmosphere. Space itself groaned beneath the weight of his power.
"You were hiding your strength?!"
Nightmare's face finally cracked—shock, then dread. He sensed the disparity immediately. What once seemed like a river of power had become a universe-splitting tidal wave.
Boom!!
There was no room to evade. Nightmare hastily erected a mystical barrier. Black smoke swirled around him, weaving into an intricate shield of eldritch runes—dense, arcane, and ancient.
Bang! Bang! Bang!!!
The moment the sword struck, the sky erupted. The impact exploded with a firestorm of magical backlash. Shockwaves tore across the terrain. The very earth splintered beneath the raw devastation, and soon, no solid ground remained.
"Disgusting...!"
Nightmare was shaken. He had vastly underestimated this boy. The power Finn wielded now was monstrous. His earlier confidence shattered.
"What are you thinking about?"
Suddenly—
Finn's voice came from behind.
Chilling. Emotionless. Laced with unfathomable force.
"You—!"
Nightmare's pupils contracted. He whirled around in alarm—but too late. Finn had slipped behind him undetected.
Exactly as Nightmare feared—this opponent had been concealing the truth all along.
There was no time to think.
Nightmare let out a roar. The arcane power in his body surged wildly. His blood seemed to ignite with dark magic as a blinding black light engulfed both him and Finn.
"What just happened?"
Finn blinked.
Everything had changed.
When he opened his eyes, he stood in total darkness. This wasn't a battlefield—it was something else. A realm of pure black, cold and endless.
Any ordinary person would've been driven mad already.
"Welcome to my domain. Here, you'll never defeat me."
Nightmare's voice echoed through the void. His figure emerged, twisted and towering, exuding the same eerie confidence he wore before.
This version of Nightmare looked exactly the same—but the fear was gone.
"So this is your territory," Finn mused. "You're really that confident in your own space?"
"No more talk. This is your grave."
Despite his bravado, Nightmare kept his guard up. He knew now: Finn was far more than what he appeared to be. And in this space, Nightmare would need every trick in the book to survive.
