The three of them arrived near the Statue of Liberty. Since it's a major tourist attraction, vehicles weren't allowed inside the area.

Fortunately, the distance from the parking area to the statue wasn't far, so they could simply walk in.

"There are a lot of people here."

Even before entering, Wanda could clearly hear the noise and chatter from inside.

"Let's go in quickly. I'm kind of looking forward to this."

The Dark Witch didn't waste any time. She walked ahead, turning around occasionally to urge the other two.

"Let's catch up to her," Finn said with a smile, taking Wanda's hand as they strolled forward.

They reached the vicinity of the Statue of Liberty.

There were already many tourists gathered around. The crowd was thick, and people were practically shuffling forward in small steps.

Half an hour later, the trio made it to the innermost section. There was a faint unpleasant smell wafting through the air occasionally, but none of them paid it much attention.

Instead, Finn found a good spot, pulled out his phone, and started snapping pictures of the two witches.

In the frame, the two witches—despite their vastly different temperaments—looked eerily similar, almost like sisters.

As they continued taking pictures, their stunning appearance started drawing attention. Tourists nearby began taking photos as well, mesmerized by their ethereal beauty. The way they stood together under the sun, they looked like two hibiscus flowers emerging from water.

Wanda, noticing the growing crowd, had a sudden idea. She quickly asked Finn to join her in the pictures.

Reluctantly, the Dark Witch became their photographer.

Finn held Wanda's hand, their shoulders brushing as they stood close. One was mature, stable, and handsome; the other, innocent and cute. The image they created together made heads turn.

Time passed by slowly.

After the photoshoot, the three of them were a little tired. Just then, they noticed a cruise ship nearby. The witches, excited, insisted on taking a ride.

Finn agreed—after all, it sounded like a fun detour.

Once aboard, they noticed how quiet it was. Perhaps due to the calming atmosphere, many tourists had already dozed off.

Not wanting to disturb anyone, Finn found a window-side spot.

"Finn, this place is actually pretty nice."

Wanda's gaze lingered on the sea below. The scenes outside, filled with people and motion, gave her a feeling of peace and freedom.

"Then let's come here often whenever we have the chance."

Finn smiled. He meant it. Once their current problems were resolved, he wanted to travel the world with her. That kind of life seemed worth living.

Suddenly.

An explosion rocked the bridge nearby. Vehicles were blown apart, and the loud bang snapped everyone awake. Curtains were pulled aside as people peeked out in panic.

Luckily, the damage wasn't too extensive yet. The bridge hadn't collapsed.

"Let's check it out."

Finn narrowed his eyes. Based on his intuition, it had to be the work of Wilson Fisk's men—Kingpin. He was the only one powerful enough to orchestrate something like this in New York.

The witches nodded, and all three transformed into black mist, flying discreetly toward the scene.

At that moment.

On the bridge.

People trapped in their vehicles were screaming in terror. They ducked inside their cars, afraid to move. The criminals were heavily armed, and stepping out could mean instant death.

On the opposite end of the bridge, the NYPD had set up a perimeter. Officers barked orders into their radios while backup units rushed in. The situation was dire—if they didn't act fast, civilians would be caught in the crossfire.

Finn and the witches landed at a hidden vantage point.

"What now?"

Wanda's eyes were sharp and cold. If Finn hadn't stopped her, she would've already wiped out the thugs.

"What else? Let's just kill them all."

The Dark Witch spoke casually, already cracking her fingers.

"Then you go," Finn and Wanda said in unison, turning to look at her.

The Dark Witch paused, squinting. "I feel like this was a setup."

Despite her suspicions, she acted immediately. Turning into a streak of shadowy red, she flew forward.

To avoid revealing herself as a sorceress, she stayed low-key. A burst of crimson energy from her hands seized the gang members mid-air and slammed them into the pavement near the police line.

Their cries of pain echoed across the bridge.

She returned to Finn with a smug expression.

"So, how'd I do?"

She lifted her chin with pride. Sure, it was a small act, but it still counted as hero work.

"Please, if I had gone, they'd have been out cold already."

Wanda rolled her eyes.

"Stop bickering. Let's go—we've still got the whole day ahead."

Finn chuckled. The real reason he wanted to intervene was because of Kingpin. One of his T-1000 units had already started infiltrating Kingpin's turf. It wouldn't be long before Fisk showed his face.

He pushed that thought aside for now.

"Makes sense."

Both witches nodded.

A short while later, they left the scene.

Due to the earlier explosion, none of them felt like going back to the cruise ship.

"Where should we go next?"

Wanda asked, looking up at Finn. Every outing with him felt unforgettable. She imagined herself as an old woman someday, sharing these stories and memories.

It felt like a beautiful future.

"Now it's my turn to choose. I want to go to the Museum of Natural History."

The Dark Witch stepped forward. Her eyes sparkled with excitement.

"They say there are centuries-old relics in there. Let's go see for ourselves."

Wanda looked at Finn expectantly. She was curious about those historical artifacts too.

"If it's with you, I don't care where we go."

Finn reached out and gently patted her head with a smile.

After a quick discussion, the trio set off toward the Museum of Natural History!
