Marvel: What If Thanos Adopted A Saiyan?-Chapter 124 - 125: Meanwhile, Hela Is Still Riding Toward Gafa
Chapter 124 - 125: Meanwhile, Hela Is Still Riding Toward Gafa
A long-overdue feast. A long-overdue good night's sleep.
By the time Lothar opened his eyes in the nutrient pod, dawn had already broken on the day ahead.
"Good morning, Lord Lothar."
Emerging from the nutrient pod, still drenched from the preservation fluid, Lothar was met by Gaitz, donned in an apron and right on cue. Gaitz handed him a sleek black combat suit, prepared well in advance.
"Your breakfast is ready, sir." freeweɓnovel.cѳm
"Mhm."
Pulling the loose-fitting dark combat uniform over his sharply defined musculature, Lothar turned to check the dosage display on the pod.
"Overnight... I absorbed ten pods' worth?"
After double-checking to rule out any malfunction, a flicker of surprise flashed through his eyes.
This rate—this dosage—far exceeded anything Lothar had anticipated.
Clearly, since breaking his limits and ascending to the Super Saiyan state by sheer willpower, his body's capacity for absorbing nutrients had skyrocketed.
The clearest proof? After just one night, his body had completely regenerated. Not even a scar remained on his skin.
Such rapid recovery would have been unthinkable for his former self. Back then, one night wouldn't have been nearly enough to purge all the internal injuries.
"So this... is the strength of a new power?"
Lothar had a sense—an intuition—that his Super Saiyan form was far from its peak. There was still untapped potential waiting to be unearthed.
He didn't know if it was mere illusion, but his instincts told him it was real.
And if there was one truth Lothar had learned over the years, it was this: follow your instincts—they never lie.
Clad in his new outfit, and with the Woz-forged ring once more affixed to his wrist, Lothar followed Gaitz to the dining hall. After devouring the lavish breakfast with the ferocity of a storm, he gave Gaitz a nod of farewell.
Then, dressed in black, Lothar instructed Woz to activate a small ship from his personal hangar.
The craft gleamed with a polished silver finish, exuding an air of minimalist luxury.
It was a brand-new vessel, one Woz had modified overnight specifically for this mission.
After all, piloting a hulking, menacing warship to Gafa could stir up unnecessary trouble.
To avoid that, the ever-thoughtful Woz had transformed the ship's appearance into something far more elegant and non-threatening, with sleek curves and aerodynamic flair.
At the front of the ship, a distinctive gold-and-silver "L" insignia stood out prominently. On either side of the emblem, Woz had added stylized golden flames—mimicking the golden aura that radiated from Lothar's body in his Super Saiyan form—shaped like wings.
"Not bad at all," Lothar raised a brow, clearly impressed.
"Thank you, Lord Lothar," Woz replied with pride.
Stepping aboard, the central console lit up under Woz's control.
The interiors were awash in futuristic silver and gleaming tech—sleek and refined, a far cry from the battleships Lothar was accustomed to. It had a presence, a status all its own.
He had never seen a ship quite like this.
"Lord Lothar, please make yourself comfortable. You're about to witness this vessel's most exhilarating feature."
VMMM!
No sooner had Woz spoken than the silver ship surged into the sky, its engines roaring across the skies above the Black Quadrant.
A streak of silver thunder tore through the clouds!
Speed.
Pure, unadulterated speed.
Freed from heavy weapons and bulky defense systems, the ship achieved extreme velocity.
Even Lothar, powerful as he was, found himself captivated by the rush. He said nothing, but the smirk curling at his lips was all the praise Woz needed—proof that his overnight efforts had not been in vain.
"Zero to a hundred light-years in 1.2 seconds—the theoretical speed ceiling for this vessel!" Woz's voice brimmed with pride.
Outside of conventional hyperspace jump methods, this was quite possibly the fastest ship in the galaxy. No contest.
Combat practicality aside, Woz believed its true value lay in what it represented: the unmatched prestige of Lord Lothar.
Practicality be damned—as long as it looked cool, that was enough!
There was only one like it in the entire universe. It oozed elite status and was tailor-made for attending non-combat occasions.
Like this upcoming visit to Gafa.
Whoosh!
In the dazzling expanse of space, the silver ship rocketed ahead at a speed that defied reason.
The gold-and-silver "L" crest on its prow—complete with radiant wings—stood out in blazing contrast...
Meanwhile—
Hela, having departed from the Nine Realms, was still riding her horse across the stars toward Gafa...
Gafa, one of the most advanced planets in the universe, had stood for billions of years without ever falling.
Thirty million years ago, two native races on the ancient planet waged a brutal and protracted war that lasted a thousand days—thus earning the name "The Thousand-Day War" in galactic history.
Legend holds that the victors of that conflict triumphed only because they acquired a powerful relic from a mysterious being known as The Collector.
No one knows whether the tale is true. Few dare question it.
But what is known is that after that war, Gafa never again saw the ravages of battle.
In the thirty million years since, Gafa has evolved into one of the galaxy's most influential worlds. The Cosmic Auction House, held on Gafa every ten years, has become a cultural institution and interstellar barometer of wealth and influence.
When the auction begins, the entire planet transforms into a bustling hub. Factions from across the cosmos descend upon Gafa—united by one goal: to claim rare treasures from the galaxy's most exclusive bidding event.
And during this time, the locals are always treated to a parade of strange and exotic beings from every corner of the universe.
VMMM!
A roaring engine shattered the quiet skies above Gafa as the sleek silver ship tore through the atmosphere. Its flamboyant entry left a sonic boom and a trail of golden light in its wake, crashing into the retinas of every stunned onlooker.
With a sharp spin and elegant flare, the luxurious vessel executed a perfect drift and glided smoothly into a docking bay already reserved in advance.
The hatch opened from the side.
Lothar, clad in black, stepped out slowly. His cold, striking features immediately drew the eyes of everyone nearby.
"So this is... Gafa?"
Arms folded, Lothar took in his surroundings with a calm, measuring gaze.
And somewhere out there...
Hela was still galloping toward Gafa—on horseback.
