Mated to Four Alphas-Chapter 207: Ready to help
Chapter 207: Ready to help
Silas’s POV
When that man stopped in front of us and I saw his face, he was none other than Van. I know he’s a priest here, but what did he mean by saying he was waiting for me?
I know we’re in his territory, but still—it’s so late at night. Why is he still awake? And the way he came out... it was like he really was waiting for us.
"Silas, who is he?" Damon asked.
As he asked, another car stopped behind us. Then I realized—yes, we had arrived. But Lysander and Kael’s car had just pulled up.
I glanced back and saw that, indeed, both of them got out of the car and stood beside Damon.
"Silas, I don’t get why you brought all these alphas with you," Van said.
"Van, please help us right now. Please, can you heal Theron?"
I don’t know if it was really Van who did black magic on Velric, but I don’t care right now. My first priority is to ask for his help.
If I didn’t say anything else and just asked, I’m sure he would help me—as much as I know him.
"Silas, have I ever said no to you since childhood? And you don’t need to use ’please’ between us. I can do anything for you, okay?" he said while grabbing my hand.
I didn’t say anything either, because I wanted him to see that, yes, I still consider him a friend—just like in our childhood.
Despite having suspicions about him, I didn’t show that on my face and remained calm.
Van glanced at Damon and the others as he joined his hand with mine.
"We don’t have any good relationship with Bloodfang Pack, but since you all came with Silas, and he himself is asking for help—then I will help you. Come inside. I will call someone to heal him," Van said, and he pulled my hand, drawing me closer.
Just then, Damon grabbed my other hand. I glanced back. Lysander and Kael were supporting Theron, with kara beside them, and Damon was gripping my hand with a serious expression.
"Let go of Silas’s hand right now," Damon order in a cold tone.
"Who the hell are you to order me around? And Silas doesn’t belong to you, so you don’t have any right over him," Van snapped.
And the atmosphere became very, very cold. Van was glaring at Damon while holding my hand, and Damon was glaring back while also holding my hand. And between them, I—the poor thing—was just standing there.
I jerked both their hands away.
"Both of you, please stop. We have to heal Theron first. Later, fight as much as you want."
Damon nodded, and I looked at Van—he nodded too. And then, Van still held my hand and suddenly used his magic. In a second, we were all standing inside the temple.
As I looked around, taking my hand back from Van’s, I noticed the temple hadn’t changed since I last saw it. It was still the same—those pillars, those benches—everything was just like before.
Like when I used to come here in childhood. And now, even as an adult coming back here, everything is still the same.
"Silas, do you remember? Behind the temple, we used to play hide-and-seek. And one day, you injured yourself there while running. I was worried to death about you."
I didn’t know why Van was bringing up those childhood memories now.
When I told him we needed to heal Theron, it meant it was an emergency. So why was he beating around the bush?
"Van, we’ll talk about these things later. First, please check Theron and heal him."
"Yes, you’re right. There are many outsiders here, so we can’t talk about personal things, right? Anyway, bring that man to that room."
Van showed us the way to one of the rooms. As soon as we entered, there was nothing inside except a bed. One window was there, but it was closed. Only darkness could be seen through it.
As Van instructed, they laid Theron on the bed. And as he was placed down, Van went over and touched Theron’s forehead. As soon as he did, he looked at us.
"It’s black magic," he said.
Kara quickly stepped forward.
"You—you felt it too, right? I’m kara, and I was the one in charge of healing His Highness, but I couldn’t heal him. That dark magic—that dark aura—was stopping me. Can you tell us how this black magic got on His Highness?" Kara asked.
"I can’t say anything for certain yet, but it seems like this dark magic was originally on someone else and got transferred to him. Because the root of the dark magic is not on this person. That means we can heal him, but until we heal that root, we can’t say he’s going to be alright."
As I heard that, I quickly realized the root they were talking about was on Velric. That meant Velric was also in pain.
But when I was coming here, I checked—his temperature was normal, and he was sleeping soundly. Please be safe, Velric.
And while I was thinking that, I noticed Damon’s eyes were on me. He came beside me and nodded, like he was silently saying, "Don’t worry."
"I will call the high priest who can deal with this type of problem and make him free from the dark magic," Van said.
Thank God—Van is ready to help us. He left the room while smiling at me, and my heart felt some kind of relief, like yes, Theron can be saved now.
As he left, Lysander and Kael also stepped toward me, but I took a step back and went to sit beside Theron on the bed.
"Silas, I want to talk about something. Can we?" Lysander asked.
Of course, I’m not gonna talk with Lysander at all, but before I could answer, Damon answered for me. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
"Lysander, can’t you see Theron’s condition right now? So talk with Silas later."
