Mated to Four Alphas-Chapter 229: Knight shining armour
Chapter 229: Knight shining armour
"Do you even know where I’m talking about going?"
Velric shook his head no while putting his thumb in his mouth and started sucking it.
Silas quickly took his thumb out.
"Don’t suck it, it’s not good."
Still, Velric continued sucking another finger even though Silas had told him not to suck his thumb.
Silas chuckled at this, squatted down, and hugged him.
After a while, he got Velric ready by putting a black hoodie on him, and he also wore a black hoodie with shorts himself.
"Mumma, you look so beautiful."
"Thank you, dear."
Once they were both ready, Silas booked a taxi and stepped out of the apartment with Velric. Just then, he received a message from D:
[Dragon: Hello, Silas. I hope I’m not disturbing you. But tomorrow there is going to be an audition for an upcoming drama. I know you haven’t signed a contract with us yet, but still, please come and give the audition. Mr. Jeren told me to let you know. Take care.]
Silas smiled because there was no reason to refuse, so he replied:
[Silas: I’ll be there with my manager tomorrow. Just send me the time and location of the audition.]
As soon as Silas sent the message, D responded:
[Dragon: The auditions are at our company, as usual, since it’s our drama. Come in the afternoon.]
[Silas: Okay.]
After sending the message, they arrived at the parking lot where the taxi was waiting for them. They got into the taxi, and the driver began to drive.
sitting inside the taxi, Silas remembered that he hadn’t worn his mask.
"Wait a second, I forgot something in my house."
The driver stopped the car, and Silas got out with Velric, telling the driver to wait.
Within five minutes, he returned wearing a mask and a cap.
The driver was still waiting, and they got back into the taxi.
This time, the driver stopped once they reached their destination. After paying, the two of them got out.
The store was very big, with every item imaginable available. Silas went inside with Velric.
The 24/7 store sat like a bright cube against the dark street, its glass walls glowing soft yellow.
Inside, narrow aisles overflowed with colorful snacks and bottled drinks, while handwritten signs dangled from the low ceiling.
The polished floor reflected the flickering lights, and the air was rich with the scent of instant noodles, warm bread, and cold soda from the humming fridges. It felt safe.
Silas grabbed the cart and started filling it with ramen and drinks.
"Velric, you can also buy anything you want."
Velric began looking around while walking a bit ahead of the cart.
Just then, he spotted some chocolate—and he literally grabbed the whole box.
"You’ll only be allowed to eat one chocolate a day," Silas said, placing the box into the cart.
As they continued picking out food items, Velric—who was walking ahead—noticed some Alphas glancing at Silas from head to toe, especially at his leg.
Velric immediately started glaring at those Alphas.
Since Silas was wearing shorts, his bare legs were visible. Velric quickly came over and stood beside him, protective as ever.
Silas also noticed the Alphas staring—especially now that Velric was beside him.
"What are you looking at?" Silas asked directly.
Hearing him, the Alphas quickly left in a hurry. They hadn’t expected Silas to confront them so boldly.
"Velric, thank you for protecting me. You’re like a knight in shining armor to me."
"Don’t worry, Mumma. I’ll protect you from everyone," Velric said,
pressing his back against the cart and glancing around, scanning for any other Alphas who might dare look at Silas.
Silas chuckled, and after picking out plenty of food, the two of them headed to the cashier.
The person at the counter started scanning the items and making the bill—but even while doing that, his full attention was on Silas.
Silas looked incredibly hot in that black hoodie and shorts.
But as the cashier kept staring, his gaze eventually shifted to Velric, who stood right beside Silas—wearing matching clothes.
It became obvious that Velric was Silas’s son.
Realizing that Silas had a child, the cashier’s heart sank.
That could only mean one thing—Silas already had a mate.
Disappointment flashed across his face; he had wanted to hit on Silas.
Even with a mask and cap on, Silas’s milky skin peeked out just enough to make any Alpha fall for him.
When the bill was done, Silas paid and, carrying all the items, stepped outside.
He was just about to book a taxi when his phone rang—it was a call from Theron.
Seeing the name, Silas quickly picked up.
(Silas) "Yes?"
(Theron) "Where are you, shorty? I’m standing in front of your apartment—it’s locked."
(Silas) "Velric and I are at the 24/7 store, buying some things."
(Theron) "Which store? Tell me—I’m coming there to pick you up."
(Silas) "No need to come. I’ll book a taxi."
(Theron) "Shorty, don’t be stubborn. Just tell me which 24/7 store you’re at right now."
(Silas) "I won’t tell you. Just wait for us. I’ll be home in 15 minutes."
(Theron) "Okay, fine. Just come home soon, shorty."
Silas hung up the call and quickly booked a taxi.
Within two minutes, the taxi arrived, and the driver even helped Silas put all the bags inside.
When they sat inside the taxi, Velric asked,
"Did Daddy call?"
"Yes. How do you know?" Silas replied, a bit surprised.
"Because you were smiling when you were talking on the call," Velric said proudly.
Silas was still feeling happy after talking with Theron, so he gently patted Velric’s head with a soft smile.
"Well, he said he’s waiting for us there," Silas said.
"Yay...! Daddy is here to meet us!" Velric cheered happily, excited that Theron had come home.
A little while later, when they reached the parking lot and Silas was taking out the bags, suddenly a hand reached from behind and grabbed all the bags—it was Theron.
