Silas’s POV

"Lysander, we are not talking about personal life. We are here to discuss the character. Who knows who would become that character? But I don’t think that role is for you. Because that dedication—I can’t see it in you. Go back to your seat."

Damon’s voice was cold, and it was clear he was not happy with Lysander’s performance. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ

And I think he doesn’t let his personal life affect his professional life .

Because if he did, he would’ve explained more things to Lysander and given him another chance.

But no, he didn’t. He directly scolded Lysander and sent him back to his seat.

"Liam, you come here."

Liam was Ren’s alpha partner. Liam seemed nervous after seeing that even a big actor like Lysander got scolded by Damon.

Still, with a determined face while looking at Ren, he went and stood in front of Damon.

"Ren, you also come here."

Ren touched my hand because he was scared that Damon had called him all of a sudden.

There was some script on Damon’s mobile. He handed it over to Liam and Ren to read and only gave them five minutes to decide how they were gonna act.

Even after reading the script, when they handed the mobile back to Damon, both their faces looked extremely nervous.

Because the CEO of the biggest entertainment company was sitting right in front of them. It was a golden opportunity for them, I think.

"Start," Damon said, and his face was serious as hell.

And as the act started, Ren suddenly slapped Liam.

The slap wasn’t real, but it felt real when Liam stood there without saying anything.

The whole room was silent. He slowly raised his gaze toward Ren, and it was cold as ice.

He raised his hand, and I really thought he was gonna slap Ren back. But he touched his own cheek, and again gazed at Ren.

His eyes were glaring at Ren, which made Ren’s whole body tremble. He took a step back and suddenly fell down on the floor.

As he fell, he was still trembling. I was amazed by Ren’s acting. Like—wow! It felt so real.

And just then, Liam kneeled on one leg and touched Ren’s face, sliding his hairs back over his ears.

Ren tried to take Liam’s hand away from his face, but seeing that, Liam’s actual facial expression changed, and he grabbed Ren by the throat.

And just after that, Liam stood up, helping Ren too, and they both bowed in front of Damon. That was their act.

And they nailed it, I think. It was so perfect, so real—like I was watching a movie scene, and they both were the ML and MC.

We all clapped for them, ’cause they deserved it. Even Damon had a smile on his face after seeing their act.

"Very good. I didn’t know there were so many talented actors in other packs. If you haven’t signed with any entertainment company yet, then we’ll talk about joining mine later."

They both brightened up after hearing that Damon was offering them work in his company. It was indeed very good news. I’m happy for both of them.

"I’m glad such talented actors are in my team. You both can go now."

As Ren came and sat down beside me, he quickly hugged my arm. He was so excited that Damon had complimented them.

"Silas, did you hear what Mr. Damon said? He said we’re talented actors, and he even mentioned joining his company!"

"Yes, I heard that. And congratulations. You both are indeed great actors. I was mesmerized by your act, you know?"

Ren literally started blushing after hearing me, and he even rested his head on my shoulder. But I had no problem because he was... a little bit cute.

But suddenly, Lysander tapped on his shoulder.

"Ren, sit straight. Mr. Damon doesn’t like those who slack off. And you—uh, you did such a great act. I liked it."

After that, Damon called everyone else who was supposed to perform, but he didn’t call me.

I was the only one who didn’t perform. I was just sitting there. And when it was over, he told us to leave and go do some exercise and dance practice.

In the gym, there were a few choreographers who were going to teach us.

I felt very heartbroken. Is he doing this because of last night? Sure, he doesn’t mix personal and professional life.

But I don’t think that’s the case here. If he’s doing this, it means he’s not going to give me any chance.

"Silas, are you alright?" Ren asked.

"Yes, I am."

I couldn’t tell him what I was feeling right now, and it was indeed not good.

Just then, Lysander suddenly stood in front of me when I was leaving the practice room, since Damon had already left.

"What are you doing, Lysander? Step aside. Don’t stand in my way."

"No. Your mood seems down. So let’s do something funny. How about we run from here to the gym, and whoever reaches last has to roll on the floor ten times like a pig?"

Lysander explained where the gym was. So he knew the way, but I didn’t say yes to this race yet. I was just looking at him while he was saying all this.
