Mated To The Cruel Prince-Chapter 702: Finally
Chapter 702: Finally
Everything became clear to Islinda in that endless cycle of drowning. All the memories she had not been privy to, it was finally revealed to her. The memories. The visions. All the phenomena that she couldn’t understand, it became clear to her.
She now knew the truth.
And the truth was that this body was never truly hers. She was merely a vessel. A vessel whose use has unfortunately come to an end. Her stay was only meant to be temporary.
Contrary to Andre’s thought, her twenty-two birthday was never meant for her to come into her powers, no, it was all for Azula’s rising.

*Fayre*
Two hundred years went by in a blur.
Two hundred years of running from her mate and the dark Faeries who wanted to murder her for who she was. Or rather, who possessed her.
It was safe to say that Benjamin had accepted that she was gone. If only he knew. She was not gone. At least not entirely. She was merely coexisting with Azula.
The demon who had landed her in this first place. If only she had listened to Benjamin and had been naive enough to grant Azula’s last request, which has obviously been a trap, then she wouldn’t be in this mess.
Azula had been close to dying. More like losing her mortal body. However, the twisted Succubus had no intention of returning to her realm, at least not yet, so she binds herself to her. Now, they were one. One body. Two souls.
Fayre couldn’t count the number of times she had tried returning to her husband Benjamin, but Azula was always there to take over. To thwart her plan and prevent her from leaving. It was always a fight for dominance and the demon seemed to have a knack for sensing her intention.
The one time Fayre successfully visited Benjamin — she had a suspicion Azula let her go on purpose to teach her a lesson — she had nearly died. Benjamin attacked her, claiming he would not fall for her trick. He told her himself, Fayre was dead and gone and would get revenge on her - Azula - for taking her away.
It was an intense battle and one that would have killed her if Azula had not taken over. She helped her escape. That was the last time Fayre ever looked for Benjamin. Although both of them had several close encounters afterwards, that one time experience was enough for her to accept her fate. Her life as Fayre was gone. She was all on her own.
Fayre accepted that Benjamin was dead. Hence when at last it was declared that king Oberon killed Benjamin, it didn’t hurt as much as she thought it would. The bonds had already snapped centuries past.
Fayre lived the life of a rogue. She was not accepted by her own people, nor could she stay long in light faery territory with King Oberon having declared war on them. She watched as her kind was plucked out one by one and killed like some chickens by the light Faeries in their justifiable cause.
Fayre couldn’t even help, not even one dark Fae because Azula couldn’t care any less about them. Left to her devices alone, Azula’s intention was to see all dark Faeries burn in hell - her domain. She wanted to return the pain they made her pass through.
It was always a battle of will for the both of them. In their entire two hundred years of cohabiting in "her" body, they never got along, their priorities never allining unless it was for their survival. Not all the time though.
Fayre wanted to end it all. It was tiring. She had lost everything. Everyone. What was the point of it? There was nothing to live for. But Azula was the opposite. It was as if the demon was punishing her by living.
So when the war against the dark Faeries became too intense, and they couldn’t hide in the Fae realm anymore, they had no choice but to move to the human realm.
*Azula*
It was cute watching Fayre’s effort to get rid of them. Really? Azula had lost everything getting into this body, what makes the dark Fae think she would let her effort go to waste?
But of course, Azula had a plan as usual knowing she couldn’t stay in this body forever, not unless she overtook the Fae. However, Fayre was tenacious and strong-willed, and Azula was not up to her full capacity in this body, she couldn’t do it even if she wanted.
However, fate was indeed hilarious and the opportunity presented itself when Fayre fell in love with a human. A human and a dark Fae? Who could ever imagine. It was the dumbest miracle and the universe was clearly in support of her plan.
The both of them got married, at least in their own way — discreetly as possible — since Fayre was still technically a dark Fae and the human realm was not kind to either of their kind, light or dark faery. They hunted them down.
Now, Robert was a kind man. A sweet, sweet man. He loved Fayre, that was for sure. And perhaps loved her - Azula - too. He couldn’t exactly tell them both apart, not that Fayre told him the truth either. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
However, Azula suspected he might have been able to tell that something was different about Fayre, the swift changes in the mood swings. He probably could never guess that his lovely, hidden, abominable wife had another being inside of her.
And yes, Azula loved to believe that he could tell from the fucking as well. Fayre that lovely bitch always loved to keep her locked up inside, but she was a Succubus and a girl’s had to eat.
It was always hilarious watching Fayre wake up with no recollection of fucking her husband, but knowing it was a wild one with the way Robert grins from ear to ear all through the day. Azula couldn’t be blamed. She liked Robert enough not to kill him. The human saved them from being hunted like some animal. The least she could do was be faithful.
Not that hunting for another dick would have been easy in the small village. Fayre, the faithful wife, would never let her use her body that way. And sleeping around in such a small village was enough to draw attention and Azula couldn’t put herself in a situation where sweet Robert would chase her off for being unfaithful. Humans and their damn norms.
However, unlike Fayre, her dumb plan was not to let Robert protect her forever. Not that the human could live up to a candlestick of her lifetime. Azula needed a new host. A suitable one. One tailor made for her. And her purpose.
Azula knew the moment they conceived because she had attached her soul to the fetus hoping to be reborn that way. A new beginning. But fate indeed has its cruel ways of playing jokes on her.
It was the perfect vessel. Except that vessel arrived with a soul of its own instead of her taking its place. In making her perfect plan, Azula had forgotten one major thing. Unlike humans, even a half-breed was much more difficult to kill in the womb.
The half-breed was born and unlike her mother, their soul was fused like two entities. Darkness and light. Both different yet one. However, there was a silver lining, she was growing stronger and that was all Azula needed. This body would be the vessel that would pave her return to glory.
Fayre must have known her plan. How couldn’t she when she herself was free? A soul couldn’t join vanish, it needed a replacement and the child, Islinda, met the needs.
Fayre did everything possible to get rid of her. In her defense, Islinda could not live. She could not unleash such evil in this world. However, it was too late. The child had been born and Azula had been in control the first few years.
She manipulated and controlled Fayre into giving her the motherly affection Islinda needed. It was a cruel joke actually. Fayre was their mother after all. But fun was what she lived for.
Fayre must have had enough because she left and never returned. Dead probably. Islinda was better off without her anyway. Why was she even protective of her vessel? Azula could not tell.
Sweet Robert mourned his dearly departed wife while Azula went into a state of hibernation to reclaim her powers. To prepare for her return. She let Islinda have a normal childhood. To have control over her own lie before she took over it. It was the least she owned before she arose.

*Islinda*
A drowning Islinda suddenly opened her eyes, looking around the icy dark waters and unlike the previous Islinda who panicked, this one was eerily calm. Her once brown hair had turned entirely white and there was a twisted glint in her eyes
"Finally," She said with a cruel curve of her lips.
