Modern World Warlock-Chapter 313: Radeon’s Transformation
After Radeon's transformation, his skeletal body changed and turned into a more burly figure. He didn't have any skin, as it was his own bones that had expanded to look like muscle fibers.
The Death Knight tested his power by blasting the rooftop of a building, prompting Megan and her companions to jump down and split up to divert his attention.
Radeon inspected his own body, and while his skeletal face couldn't show any emotions, he somehow still looked pleased with his transformation.
When he glanced down from the top of a rooftop, he spotted Lindsey running along the streets, seemingly looking for a place to hide.
Raising his arm to the side, Radeon's bone fibers began to twist and contort until they took the shape of a large but thin blade, resembling a katana with a serrated edge, which replaced his right hand.
As soon as his blade fully materialized, he admired it for a few seconds and locked his gaze on the running Lindsey, launching himself down like a meteor.
However, Lindsey was aware of Radeon's advance, and right as the netherlord came crashing down at high speeds, the blonde turned around and raised her arm with fervor, producing a massive earth wall that protruded from the ground up to at least ten meters high.
The blonde's timing was perfect, and when Radeon noticed he wouldn't have time to stop or redirect his trajectory, he decided to test his new blade against the thick wall, crashing against it with his serrated bone blade in hand.
Fortunately for Lindsey, Radeon couldn't completely cut through the wall. Still, the netherlord managed to destroy over half of it with a single strike, so the woman knew that she had to keep her distance.
After standing up and shaking some of the debris off his body, Radeon kept his focus on Lindsey, who was the opponent closest to him. Nevertheless, before he could take a step to advance, he felt a sharp pain in his back while a torrent of blood bathed him.
When Radeon looked back, he saw Irina hovering a few meters away from him, shooting an incessant barrage of blood projectiles.
While Irina's magic was enough to annoy Radeon, she wasn't doing any significant damage to his bony, solid structure, and before she could react, she saw a large bone spear traveling upwards and stabbing her in the shoulder.
The force of Radeon's throw impaled the vampire sentinel and made her travel all the way into a building nearby, taking her out of the scene momentarily.
Relishing the opportunity with Radeon's attention elsewhere, Lindsey used wind magic to fly up and gain some altitude, pointing her palm at the Death Knight and generating dozens of earth spikes from the ground.
Radeon jumped back and avoided being hit by the pointy rocks. Still, after dozens of spikes rose from underground, Lindsey clenched her hand and made all of the spikes break from their base, aiming them at Radeon and shooting a barrage of rock lances.
As the Death Knight waved his bony sword, he managed to destroy a few of the spikes that traveled towards him. However, he still received a few hits that seemed to chip his body slightly.
Right as the barrage ended, Radeon let out a loud warcry that echoed in the vicinity before rushing straight toward Lindsey at high speeds.
The netherlord seemed unstoppable during his charge, and after running for a few seconds, he felt a sudden chill down his spine that warned him of "death," prompting him to change his course and step to the side out of caution.
Radeon didn't know what it was, but he could sense that if he hadn't moved, he would have certainly died, and less than a second later, Megan crashed down at the location where Radeon would've been had he not moved away.
Initially, Radeon could tell that Megan was strong, and the fact that she defeated the stone Death Knight on her own was enough proof that she couldn't be underestimated.
However, he wasn't expecting to feel such danger from the woman, especially not after having transformed into a much more powerful version of himself.
Turning his full attention to the brunette, Radeon quickly approached her and waved his blade, aiming at her neck. Nonetheless, Megan deflected it with ease.
Even if she wasn't nearly as physically strong as Radeon, she was still able to slide her dagger against his serrated sword and move aside to avoid his attacks.
Moreover, Megan had a lot more experience in close combat, so she preferred having her opponent up close rather than having to avoid numerous spells that she didn't even recognize.
After clashing their weapons and exchanging a barrage of slices, Radeon started to feel a bit frustrated when noticing that Megan hadn't received a single blow while his bony skin was riddled with cuts.
When their blades clashed again, Radeon released a nova of necrotic energy around him that prompted Megan to raise her forearms to defend herself, but it was to no avail.
Megan felt the side of her arms burning up as she was forcefully pushed against a building, crashing through the window and landing in the middle of an office.
"Ugh… So, he can do that," Megan muttered to herself as she stood up with blood dripping down her head.
Looking to the side of the office, she spotted Irina, who was conscious but too weak to keep moving.
"Irina, use the healthstone," Megan said to the sentinel while approaching her.
"Nghh, no! It'll make me pass out!" Irina replied, clearly in pain.
"You can't keep fighting, though. I'll get you out of here once we are done with the skeleton," Megan continued.
"I can still fight! I just need…" Irina said, stopping herself before finishing her sentence.
"What is it?" Megan pondered.
"If I drink blood, I'm sure I can kill that guy!" Irina replied with confidence, still holding the side of her torso in pain.
"Hmm, I see…" Megan commented, inquisitively placing a hand on her chin.
