I made my way into the store. When I pushed the door open, it didn’t open.

He told me what had happened to him.

It was his girlfriend who betrayed him.

The same girlfriend he had cared for after her parents died. And just when he proposed to her and asked her to marry him, she told him that she was already engaged to someone else and that her wedding was a week later.

I never knew that my helping act would make him fall in love with me and become obsessed. He showed me his basement and bragged to me about everything that he was capable of doing. Including that, he was the heir to the diamond city’s leading car industry.

But he gave his younger sister the temporary responsibility of handling the company for him as he followed his passion in life. And his passion was being a jeweler and a technology genius. Hence, that was the reason why he had a secret basement in his jewelry store. Additionally, his ex-girlfriend had no idea about his true identity. That was why she betrayed him.

"Hey". I called, but no one answered me.

After searching for him in the store and I couldn’t find him, I knew for sure that he would be inside his basement.

I pictured the basement in my head, before I teleported there.

As expected, I saw Luca there. He was lying on the sofa like a complete moron. In his hand was a small-sized bottle of liquor.

A sad melody was playing.

It was so sad that I would believe it if someone told me that the song was created for the purpose of people saying farewell to their deceased.

’What the heck happened to him?’. I wondered. His clothes were messy, and his once beautiful purple hair was messed up.

"Hey, wake up". I casually said to him with my arms wrapped on my abdomen.

Luca coughed and turned on the sofa, causing the bottle of liquor that he was barely holding onto to fall. Despite that, he didn’t wake up and continued to sleep.

I walked towards him, before I flicked his forehead with my fingers.

"Ouch". He groaned tiredly, and began to toss and turn back and forth on the sofa.

His brows furrowed, even his closed eyes were moving.

I grew annoyed. Using my light magic, I made the music stop.

And seeing that Luca did not want to wake up, I squatted next to him and made sure that my mouth was close enough to his ear as I yelled at him, "I said, wake up!!".

My loud voice did the trick. Luca jerked up and fell on the floor. Oh, he fell on me first, before he landed on the floor.

When he saw me, he flinched and his eyes widened. He pointed a finger at me, "Who the heck are you and how did you get into this place?!". He panicked.

I didn’t reply to Luca, I just quietly rose to my feet with my eyes fixed on him.

Then, I removed the cap of my hoodie from my head.

Seeing my face properly, I saw Luca’s confused face. He must be trying to recall where he must have seen my face before.

"Wait a sec. You are Alpha Anastasia!". He exclaimed, and since I didn’t deny his claim, he stood up like the speed of light.

"Wh- what are you doing in my store’s basement? How did you even know someone like me?". He asked me, before he took a glance at his technology equipment and then at me.

He did this action continuously.

"Stop doing that. You look creepy". I told him as I made my way towards him, causing him to step away from me like a kitten.

How ironic.

This scene reminds me of my previous self. At a particular moment five years ago, after Luca had started to heal from his girlfriend’s betrayal, thanks to my aid, I had to return to his store after I forgot an important document there. When I returned to pick up the document, I saw Luca sitting with the document in his hand.

It was clear that he had expected me to return.

I expected him to hand over the document to me, but instead, he rose from the sofa he was sitting on and began to walk towards me with an intense gaze, while I retreated from him.

He continued to walk towards me until I was trapped by the wall.

After he fell to the ground, I picked up the document and left.

And since then, I have never returned to his store again, until now.

"Hey, you haven’t answered my question. How do you know my store and my basement?". Luca asked me as he finally stopped retreating from me.

I halted.

"I need not answer your question, whatever your name is. The thing is, I was able to find out with the help of my powers that you are great with technology. So, I want you to make two bracelets for me. A pair of bracelets that will be able to alert each other when they are in danger. A pair of bracelets that can also show the location of the other bracelet after the danger alert. Do you think you can make such bracelets for me?".
