Chapter 1415 -1415: The Powerful Leader of Cloud Sect_1
This voice was quite cold, almost as if it came from the mouth of a youth.
Neal Brown was at first startled, then swiftly turned his head back to look at the man.
The man had a tall stature, his features handsome; in his gaze lurked a hint of barely-there murderous spirit coupled with a trace of maturity.
Such an aura could not be feigned; it was the natural emanation after killing countless people and enduring the vicissitudes of time.
He was about one meter ninety tall, his body cloaked in long robes. The coldness that shone from his eyes made Neal Brown shiver.
“Leader of Cloud Sect!” Neal Brown exclaimed, and the next second hastily bowed, saying, “I’ve seen the Leader of Cloud Sect…”
“Leader of Cloud Sect?” Hearing this title, everyone’s faces involuntarily drained of color!
“He actually came himself?”
“Oh no, this time Mr. Smith is probably doomed!”
Ethan Smith’s face also turned quite ugly; he hadn’t expected the Leader of Cloud Sect to personally come knocking!
“Sect Master, you’re here, why didn’t you inform me so I could make arrangements…” Neal Brown said with his head bowed, his body trembling slightly.
The sect master looked down at Neal Brown before him and continued, “When have I ever needed to give you face?”
Neal Brown’s body jerked violently again, and he hurriedly responded, “Sect Master, all my words just now were nonsensical, please don’t hold them against me…”
Ethan Smith’s eyes narrowed slightly, his mind spinning rapidly.
“I must escape quickly!” he thought to himself.
Taking advantage of the sect master’s conversation with Neal Brown, he prepared to bolt!
But just as he rose to his feet, he found his legs heavy as lead, completely immobile!
“Ethan Smith, do you think you can still escape?” The sect master’s eyes turned to Ethan Smith.
Ethan Smith tried to struggle but found himself completely entrapped.
Indeed, the sect master’s power far surpassed that of the First Elder!
Since escaping was futile, Ethan Smith no longer wasted his energy.
He simply sat back down and looked the sect master up and down, saying, “Leader of Cloud Sect? This is our second encounter, oh, incorrect, if I include that projection it should be the third.”
The sect master gave a slightly icy smile, “You seem quite composed.”
“What else can I do.” Ethan Smith shook his head.
The sect master slowly stepped towards Ethan Smith and, in the blink of an eye, arrived in front of him.
Neal Brown seized the opportunity and ran for his life.
The others in the room also didn’t dare to stay, and they scattered quickly.
Soon, in the vast dining hall, only Ethan Smith and the sect master remained.
“Ethan Smith, I overlooked your killing of Philbert Duncan, and not only did you not appreciate it, but you went on to kill my son and severely injure the First Elder,” the sect master’s voice gradually became colder.
“Do you truly take Cloud Sect lightly?”
Ethan Smith, suppressing his anger, retorted, “I regret killing your son, but he deliberately provoked me. Despite my repeated forbearance, he continued to attack me! Besides, I never intended to kill him, who knew he would be so fragile.”
The sect master’s face turned colder as he said, “So are you saying it’s my fault?”
“Do you think you bear no responsibility? Why didn’t you keep a closer watch on your son? And, why didn’t you teach him how to respect others properly?” Ethan Smith bellowed.
“I’ve deduced from others’ words that your son seldom left Cloud Sect; surely it is your overprotectiveness as a father that made him utterly ignorant of the outside world, which led him to come to me and act so rudely.”
“Do you think you have no responsibility? Do you really believe your excessive protection was good for him?”
The sect master frowned slightly; Ethan Smith’s words seemed to strike a nerve.
“Regardless, the person was killed by you, and you must take responsibility,” the sect master said gravely.
Ethan Smith scoffed, “What do you want me to do to take responsibility? A life for a life?”
“What else?” the sect master asked coldly.
“Just follow me back quietly, and all shall come to an end,” he said, his voice devoid of warmth.
Ethan Smith sneered in response, “Do you really think I’ll just sit here and await my demise?” freёwebnoѵel.com
As he spoke, Ethan’s divine power surged, instantly shattering his restraints!
The very next second, he saw Ethan, brandishing the Golden Fist, charging straight at the sect master!
That mighty force swept up the sect master’s long hair, yet her face remained calm.
Just as Ethan’s fist was about to strike her, the sect master suddenly stretched out her hand.
That seemingly ordinary palm managed to catch Ethan’s fist with ease.
What shocked Ethan even more was that all his strength was unloaded in that instant!
“How is that possible!” Ethan exclaimed, shocked to the core.
He hastily retreated backward.
His punch just now had been with nearly all his strength, yet it was so effortlessly neutralized!
Ethan realized that the sect master’s power was formidable, but he hadn’t expected it to be to such an extent!
“Something’s not right!” A hint of ugliness crossed Ethan’s face.
If the Leader of Cloud Sect was so powerful, why on Earth did she initially defer to Randall Freeman?
With the abilities she had shown, she was clearly far superior to Randall, and perhaps even Salena Carpenter would struggle to contend with her!
“Don’t waste your energy,” the sect master said.
“If I had wanted to kill you, you would already be a corpse right now.”
Ethan clenched his teeth and couldn’t help but ask, “Just what realm are you at? Could it be that you’ve already stepped into the Reversion Void Stage?”
The sect master shook her head, “Stop asking so many questions, just come back with me.”
With that said, the sect master reached out with her palm and in an instant, an overwhelming force once again bound Ethan.
Ethan knew he couldn’t escape the sect master’s grasp, so he stopped struggling.
He took a deep breath and said, “Falling into your hands today was my miscalculation. I admit defeat. I’ll come back with you.”
“That’s for the best, you’ll suffer less that way,” the sect master responded.
Ethan Smith subtly closed his eyes, putting on an air of resignation.
And the sect master, without another word, led Ethan away from the spot.
They weren’t too far from Cloud Sect, and the sect master moved swiftly.
By evening of that day, Ethan was brought back to Cloud Sect.
The sect master led Ethan straight to the Great Hall, then took out a Magic Weapon and bound him with it.
“Ethan Smith has been captured and brought back!”
The news spread quickly throughout the sect, and soon enough, a crowd gathered at the entrance of the Great Hall.
When the First Elder, lying on his deathbed, heard the news, he sat up with a vigor akin to coming back from the dead.
He made his way to the Great Hall and upon seeing Ethan tied up, the First Elder’s face darkened.
“You little beast, you’ve finally been caught,” he said through clenched teeth.
Ethan glanced at him and retorted, “Indeed, I’ve been captured, but not by you. What’s it to you, a defeated subordinate?”
“You’re courting death!” the First Elder flew into a rage, but due to his unhealed injuries, he didn’t dare to act rashly.
“That’s enough,”
The sect master intervened.
With a cold voice, she said, “Let’s call a meeting.”
The First Elder quickly nodded, “Yes, I’ll go right away, right away.”
