Chapter 1427 -1427: Different Teams

Ethan Smith opened his mouth, but for a moment he didn’t know how to refute.

He thought for a moment and said, “All right, I’ll join you.”

There was a look of instant joy on the young man’s face, and he quickly said, “My name is Tusk Valencia, what’s yours?”

“Kole Morton.” Ethan Smith made up a name on the spot.

Tusk smiled and said, “Okay, Kole Morton, welcome to our group!”

Ethan thought to himself: “Might as well do a good deed, there’s nowhere else to go anyway.”

This time, Ethan’s only goal in Azure Rock Forest was to find the flying spider.

As long as he found the flying spider, he would have a chance to get the Life Aura.

But as to whether he could find the flying spider, Ethan had no confidence.

There were at least dozens of groups in this area, some with luxurious equipment, not only having the followers of their families, but also possessing impressive magical artifacts.

While others had nothing, relying solely on their luck to take risks and make a living.

“Do you often go to Azure Rock Forest?” Ethan asked Tusk.

Tusk nodded and said, “We go there a few times every year.”

“Then why not join the Hunter organization? It’s safer, isn’t it?” Ethan asked suspiciously.

Tusk sighed and said, “I tried, but I didn’t pass the Hunter organization’s assessment, so I had to go solo.”

Ethan nodded, understandingly. He had experienced the Hunter organization’s assessment himself, and only after killing a top Demonic Beast and proving himself did he have a chance to join.

With Tusk’s ability, it would be difficult to pass the assessment.

As the night grew deeper, some powerful teams established cooperation after a night of talks.

However, nobody paid any attention to small groups like Tusk, and having five members was their limit.

That night, Ethan lay on the ground without the slightest sleepiness.

All he could think about was how to quickly obtain the Life Aura.

Before coming to the Holy Region, Ethan had never imagined that the Life Aura would be so hard to come by.

He had been in the Holy Region for months now, but Ethan’s cultivation level hadn’t improved at all.

Even Dudley Lynch’s strength had improved significantly, but only Ethan’s realm had stagnated.

“If I encounter Frederick Cohen and the others again, I’m afraid I’d be left far behind.” Ethan sighed.

He couldn’t help wondering what realm those Earth geniuses had stepped into by now.

The next day.

As the sky turned dim, everyone heading to Azure Rock Forest began to take action.

“Kole Morton, hurry up. We need to get going too,” Tusk urged.

Ethan slowly got up from the ground, stretching lazily and said, “Let’s go.”

Tusk nodded and led Ethan and the others toward Azure Rock Forest.

Many people had already entered the Azure Rock Forest by now. Ethan’s group was just an insignificant part of this wave.

“Kole Morton, it’s your first time in Azure Rock Forest. Listen to my arrangements later on, otherwise, I cannot guarantee your safety.” Tusk reminded Ethan along the way.

Ethan didn’t say much, only nodding in agreement.

Before long, the group had entered Azure Rock Forest.

The Azure Rock Forest was enormous. They hadn’t been there long before several waves of people disappeared from sight, the surroundings becoming quieter, and Tusk’s expression gradually became tense.

Ethan, on the other hand, seemed to be just a regular person, with his arms folded behind his head and humming a tune.

Upon seeing Ethan’s relaxed expression, Tusk frowned but said nothing.

As they ventured deeper into the Azure Rock Forest, the atmosphere around them gradually became chilly.

From time to time, they could hear the growls of beasts in the dark.

This sent shivers down Tusk and the others’ spines, and their pace slowed down.

Tusk looked around nervously, sweat beading on his forehead!

“Be careful!” Suddenly, Tusk exclaimed.

They saw a series of blood-red and cold gazes from the shadows, staring intently at Ethan and his group.

Tusk hurriedly pulled out a knife and handed another one to Ethan.

“Kole Morton, be careful!” Tusk warned nervously.

Soon, the shadowy figures slowly emerged from the darkness.

It was more than a dozen large wolves, their steel-like hair standing on end, cold and bone-chilling.

Low growls lingered in everyone’s ears, as if they were issuing a warning.

With a roar, the pack of wolves pounced at them!

Tusk and the others didn’t hesitate. They fought back with their weapons in hand.

Wielding the Long Blade, Ethan joined the fray.

Fortunately, the pack of wolves was not very powerful. Within a short time, all of the wolves had been slain.

The stench of blood filled the air, and Tusk and his group were stained with crimson.

They examined the corpses of the wolves but didn’t find any Dharma Treasure.

“What a pity,” someone sighed.

Tusk said solemnly, “These were just the lowest-level Demonic Beasts, otherwise, we wouldn’t have dealt with them so easily.”

Having said that, Tusk looked at Ethan and asked, “Kole Morton, how do you feel after your first hunt?”
