My Atypical Wolf (BL)-Chapter 264
Chapter 264: A New Offer fđŻeeđžđŠđđoŃ”đl.cđđ
âSo... how does it feel to be backâ? Asked Sebastian once he spotted Christian.
âFeels good.â He nodded.
âYour brotherâs mate is awakeâ? Asked Sebastian.
âYeah... he is okay,â Christian nodded.
âI told you, you didnât need to worry about him,â Sebastian shrugged.
âWhy not? I saw what losing him did to my brother. I donât ever want to see him like that ever againâ Christian declared firmly.
âI know that. But, as much as you want to protect your little brother, he is not a kid anymore. You need to stop being overprotective of himâ. Sebastian smiled.
.....
âIâm not overprotective of himâ Christian denied immediately. Sebastian tilted his head with a raised eyebrow clearly denoting how he disagreed. âWhat? I just worry about him as his big brotherâ.
âYou do a lot more than worry,â Sebastian pointed out. âI understand why you do that, now... but trust me... he can take care of himself.â Sebastian declared.
âOf course I know that! I made sure he is toughâ Christian huffed.
âWell just so you know... you did a great jobâ. Sebastian shrugged. Christian shook his head tired and frustrated with this conversation as he headed off to get his suitcase. No, they were not living together. Itâs just he was in a hurry to go to the hospital, to see Ashton and his brother that he left his luggage with Sebastian.
âBefore you leave. I want your feedbackâ Sebastian stopped Christian before he could step out of the room.
âAbout whatâ? Christian frowned.
âAbout our trip? What did you thinkâ? Sebastian raised an eyebrow.
âIt was really great. Especially Parisâ Christian let out a smile.
âBut...â? Sebastian asked, sensing the tone of Christianâs words.
âNothing. Itâs just... good to be backâ. Christian admitted honestly. It was true. No matter how much fun he had while he was away, there was no place like home.
âI figured as muchâ Sebastian ended up chuckling. âAnyways... I was planning to tell you... I got another offerâ Sebastian admitted.
âSo, you are leaving againâ? Christian couldnât help but ask this with a tinge of disappointment.
âYeah, but not before two months.â Sebastian clarified. Christian smiled until he realised that was not all. âBut, I might be gone for months,â Sebastian revealed.
âOkay... that sounds like a big opportunityâ Christian tried to play it cool.
âIt is.â Sebastian admitted. It was supposed to be happy news, and yet somehow there was no joy in revealing it. âItâs for a show where Iâll be playing the lead. Ironically, Iâll be playing a Vampireâ Sebastian chuckled at that. âIf it gets picked up for more seasons,Iâll be gone for longer.â Sebastian explained.
âWell, if itâs not this there will be something elseâ Christian snorted. Sebastian furrowed his brows, so Carson explained. âYouâre an actor. That is your Job. No matter what role you take, itâs bound to keep you busy... to keep you away from here. Just like my Job is here. I look after my packâ.
âIs this really okay? We just started dating, and youâre okay with the long distanceâ Sebastian asked hesitantly. When he received no reply, Sebastian couldnât help but jump to another conclusion, âor wait, are you... are you giving up on usâ.
âNo, I am not,â Christian clarified immediately. âItâs just... itâs gonna be hard. Being away from you... but, you have to do this. I saw you in action, youâre too good to give up on such an opportunity. I mean to be the lead on your own show? Man thatâs awesomeâ! Christian cheered.
Sebastian stared at Christian blankly before engulfing him into a hug, âYou are way too nice. Itâs annoyingâ Sebastian declared with a hint of annoyance.
âYeah, I am the annoying one,â Christian remarked sarcastically.
Pulling away from the hug Sebastian declared, âWell I, for one, am going to miss youâ.
âIâll be alright,â Christian teased.
âYou can pretend to be a little bummed, you knowâ. Sebastian rolled his eyes.
âWell, this is nothing new for me, remember? I had a long time crush on you, which means that whenever you were away I missed you a lot initially. I mean, I know we werenât dating, but we were friendsâ. Christian shrugged. đđŻđeđeđŻđ·đŒđeđ.đđŒđș
âSo... you just got used to my absence then?â Sebastian asked.
âNopeâ! Christian clarified. âI just recalled how awesome it was to see you again. We would have fun whenever youâre backâ Christian mumbled. âOver time, I used to look forward to it,â Christian smiled.
âWe did have fun,â Sebastian chuckled. âI guess Iâll see you around thenâ.
âYeah, besides itâs not like youâre leaving Tomorrow, we still have timeâ. Christian pointed out.
âRight,â Sebastian nodded.
âAnd if you miss me too much you can always call meâ Christian shrugged.
âYeah yeah, I got itâ Sebastian shook his head before ending up laughing. âWell, since youâre away for so long I know you have a lot to catch up on. Not to mention you are supposed to have this ceremony as you take on pack responsibilities as the official Alpha. But, if you manage to find some spare time, we can still have a get-together, â Sebastian offered.
âSounds like a planâ Christian smiled before exiting the apartment. The pack house wasnât that far away from Sebastianâs apartment, so he reached home pretty early. After taking a shower and a huge lunch, Christian headed straight to the office to take over the responsibilities he handed over to Caleb for the time being.
It was weird how since he came back his focus was fluctuating when it came to work. From time to time he found himself getting immersed into the weekend they had. The train ride together, or the shared ice-cream. These memories were also accompanied by involuntary smiles from time to time.
âAre you okayâ? He heard a familiar voice ask from the door. It was none other than the pack beta, who was here on Christianâs orders. âYouâre smiling like a crazy personâ.
âIâm fineâ Christian tried to brush it off, but when another while appeared on his face he sighed. âYou know what, I am not. Iâve lost my mindâ Christian groaned.
