The weekend arrived, and with it, the night of the much-anticipated party. Raelynn sat in the middle of her spacious room as people worked around Raelynn like a hive of busy bees. Hera stood behind her, carefully twisting and pinning her hair into something elegant, while Felix and his team hovered nearby, adjusting the fit of her dress and applying the final touches of makeup.

"Hold still," Hera scolded softly, her hands steady as she added the finishing touch to Raelynn's hair.

"I am still," Raelynn grumbled, though her hands betrayed her by toying with the edge of her dress.

On the other side of the room, Sloane stood with wide, sparkling eyes, practically bouncing on her toes as she observed the transformation. "Raelynn, you look gorgeous! That dress—oh my god, it's perfect on you! And your hair, it's like something out of a fairytale. Elion won't know what hit him!"

Raelynn rolled her eyes, but a small smile crept onto her face. "Sloane, could you stop?"

"Stop what?" Sloane asked innocently, her grin widening. "Telling the truth? Because I can't."

Raelynn let out a dramatic sigh, shooting her an annoyed glance. "You're welcome to replace me if you love all this so much." She gestured to the dress, the makeup, the whole thing.

Sloane's laugh bubbled up like champagne. "Oh, no. I'm not the one Elion wants to bring to the party, am I? And I'm definitely not the one who said yes when he asked."

She parted her lips to argue, but the words never made it out.. Instead, she looked away, focusing on Hera's reflection in the mirror. Hera caught her eye and gave her a smile.

"She's got a point," Hera teased softly, securing the final pin in place. "And… done. You're ready."

Raelynn blinked, turning to face the mirror fully. The woman staring back at her was both familiar and unfamiliar, cloaked in a gown that sparkled like the night sky. Braids and curls crowned her head like a crown, while her makeup brought out her best features without overdoing it.

"I…" Raelynn hesitated, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't even look like me."

"That's the point," Felix said with a flourish, stepping back to admire his handiwork. "You look like the woman who's about to steal the spotlight."

Raelynn let out a nervous laugh, brushing her fingers over the necklace resting at her collarbone. "I'm not sure I'm ready for this."

"You'll be fine," Hera assured her, patting her shoulder.

Before Raelynn could say anything else, there was a knock at the door. Kade stepped inside, his usual casual demeanor replaced with a polished, professional air. His sharp suit emphasized his broad shoulders, and he looked every bit the proper attendant.

"Elion's waiting for you downstairs," Kade announced, though his tone softened as his eyes landed on Raelynn. "Wow. You look… incredible."

Raelynn flushed, waving a hand dismissively. "Don't start, Kade."

"I'm just saying what everyone else is thinking," he replied with a grin. "You look like a queen."

Sloane chimed in from the corner, her voice sing-song. "See? Told you!"

Raelynn groaned, shaking her head. "Can we just get this over with?"

Kade chuckled, stepping aside to hold the door open. "After you, my lady."

With one last glance at herself in the mirror, Raelynn took a deep breath and stood. Hera gave her a reassuring smile, while Felix and his team stepped back, murmuring final praises about how stunning she looked.

The walk down the grand staircase felt surreal. Her heart thudded in her chest, each step bringing her closer to the figure standing below.

Elion was waiting at the foot of the stairs, his back to her as he spoke quietly with someone. He was dressed in a sleek black tuxedo that fit him perfectly, the sharp lines of his jacket emphasizing his tall, commanding presence. His hair was neatly styled, and even from behind, he exuded an effortless charisma that made Raelynn's stomach twist in nervous anticipation.

She cleared her throat softly, the sound barely audible but enough to catch his attention. Elion turned, his gaze immediately locking onto hers.

The moment stretched between them with something neither of them could say. Raelynn felt her breath catch as his eyes roamed over her, lingering for just a second too long on the curve of her shoulders, the sparkle of her necklace, the way the dress hugged her figure.

Elion's expression was hard to read, but his eyes held an intensity that made her cheeks warm. He looked… stunned.

He started to speak, "You…," but then stopped, pressing his lips into a firm line.

Raelynn's throat felt dry, her fingers clutching the railing for support. She had always known Elion was handsome, but tonight he was something else entirely. The tux only made his sharp jawline and handsome face stand out even more—it wasn't right how good he looked.

Kade's teasing tone broke the silence. "You two planning on standing there all night, or are we actually going to this party?"

Sloane giggled, covering her mouth with her hand. "Yeah, seriously. Save the staring contest for later."

Raelynn tore her gaze away, her cheeks burning as she shot Kade a glare. "Very funny."

Elion let out a small cough and fiddled with his jacket cuffs. "Let's go," he said simply, offering his arm to Raelynn.

For a moment, she hesitated, her gaze flicking between his outstretched arm and his face. Finally, with a small nod, she looped her hand through his arm, letting him guide her toward the door.

Stepping into the night, they were greeted by the cool air and a faint floral scent from the garden. The black car waiting at the bottom of the steps with the driver ready and waiting.

Raelynn sneaked a side glance at Elion, her head buzzing with worry and doubt. This night felt like the beginning of something she couldn't quite put into words, and the thought sitting heavy in her chest.

As the car door opened and Elion helped her inside, she couldn't help but wonder—what awaited them at this party?
