My CEO Husband Has Some Issues-Chapter 1196: Li Chunyu’s Reminder
Chapter 1196: Chapter 1196: Li Chunyu’s Reminder
Given the way Estelle put it, Rong Yan couldn’t very well insist on refusing. She smiled and said, "Alright then. She’s vacationing recently. I’ll schedule a time with you all once she’s rested a bit. Truly, Chunyou, there’s no need to be so formal, Rong Yan isn’t the type we often encounter in our circles."
"I know she isn’t," Li Chunyu responded with a playful wink, "I’ve noticed it myself."
She rarely had the opportunity to interact with Rong Yan and her understanding of Rong Yan was entirely through what others gossiped and what she learned from the news. Through these, she realized that Rong Yan was indeed a rare personality in the entertainment industry—how should she put it—simple, straightforward, and pure.
These three words seemed simple, but in the glitzy world of entertainment, it was already difficult for people to achieve this, at least she couldn’t!
Thus, she inexplicably felt a natural fondness for those who could.
Li Chunyu’s endearing smile settled, and her eyes held a trace of experience as she suddenly leaned close to Estelle, whispering, "Estelle, do you know why the company abruptly called us in early this morning?"
Estelle, seasoned from years of corporate life, immediately sensed a crisis, "I don’t know, Chunyou, what have you heard?"
Li Chunyu didn’t beat around the bush and shared what she knew, "I’ve only caught wind of something, whether it’s true or not, I’m not sure. I heard that there’s going to be a shift in power. Previously, the largest shareholder was Li Group, making KT Entertainment a subsidiary under Li Group’s control. However, this balance was disrupted recently; the second and third largest shareholders and several other scattered shareholders had their shares bought out. Combined, these shares have now surpassed those of Li Group in KT Entertainment. This means, going forward, Li Group’s influence over KT Entertainment will be diminished, no longer being the dominant force."
Estelle looked surprised, "How come I haven’t heard about this?"
"Except for the senior management, there are hardly a few who know. I also found out by coincidence. I don’t know if gathering us this morning is to announce this?" Li Chunyu faltered, then added, "It might also be false. But suddenly, someone buying up the company’s shares, I always feel it’s targeted at you all. Estelle, you guys better be cautious."
Logically speaking, she shouldn’t meddle in other people’s affairs, whether not the person buying the shares was targeting Rong Yan, it had nothing to do with her. Getting involved might even drag her into trouble.
Yet, for some reason, she still couldn’t help but come over to warn Estelle.
"Lately, there’s been rumors in the circle about someone wanting to target Rong Yan, but who it is and why, I don’t know. I’m not well-connected in the industry, that’s all I know, sorry."
She was grateful to Li Chunyu for confiding in her. After chatting a few sentences, Li Chunyu returned to her agent, and they appeared just like colleagues who got along chatting casually; nobody in the bustling meeting room paid attention to them.
Estelle, weighed down with concerns, sat deep in thought, about the words Li Chunyu had just said, hesitating whether or not to inform Rong Yan.
Just then, the noisy chatter in the conference room abruptly ceased.
The director walked in with a young man, handsome and elegant in a well-fitted black suit that gave him a dashing, maverick flair. Unlike the usual white shirt setup with suits, he wore a solid color thin sweater, a style common in Korean fashion, which emphasized his youthful and rebellious spirit.
