My Husband Is a Million Years Old Vampire-Chapter 148
Chapter 148: Chapter 148
However Chloe didn’t say a word. She just kept her eyes on Valentina, not even blinking. Her whole body was still, but her mind was sharp—waiting. Waiting for that dress. The diamond one. The infamous Solstice Whisper. Everyone knew it. Everyone wanted it. Only three women in the entire country had ever worn it. And now, it was about to be brought out for Valentina?
Chloe didn’t believe it. But she wasn’t going to stop the show—not yet.
She leaned back quietly, pretending to sip her wine, though her fingers were tight around the glass. She was watching, planning.
However beside her, Victoria stayed silent. She hadn’t said anything since they arrived. She wasn’t even pretending to be part of it anymore. She just stood there like she didn’t want to be seen.
After about ten minutes, the boutique stayed quiet. The dress hadn’t come out yet.
At that moment Victoria shifted slightly, then leaned toward Chloe and whispered, "Let’s go."
However Chloe didn’t turn. Victoria continued, her voice low. "We’re wasting our time. Whether Valentina buys it or not, this whole thing... it’s pointless. Let’s just leave before it gets late."
She paused, then added in a quieter tone, "Honestly... it feels like you came here just to fight her. I don’t understand you anymore."
However Chloe didn’t like what Victoria just said. It made her chest feel tight. She couldn’t believe Victoria was acting s like this, She used to be on my side. But she didn’t say anything. Not yet. Her eyes stayed sharp. Her mind was on one thing—making Valentina regret everything.
"I don’t like this new you," Chloe whispered to Victoria.
Victoria didn’t answer. She just looked away and folded her arms.
You’ll see, Chloe told herself. When this plan works, even Victoria will thank me.
Then, everything went quiet in the VIP section.
The sound of footsteps made everyone turn. More than ten staff entered, all dressed in clean uniforms. In the center was a tall man in a black suit. He walked slowly, like someone important.
Five of the staff carried long white boxes.
Each box looked heavy but beautiful. These were the dresses Raymond had picked earlier.
The other five held a longer box. which sparkled under the light.
Chloe’s eyes widened. "Is that... the diamond dress?"
She looked at the shape. She knew it. Everyone knew it.
"No way," she muttered.
At that moment Victoria stood still. She didn’t blink.
"That can’t be real," Chloe whispered again. Her hands tightened into fists. "They’re really bringing it to her? To Valentina?"
When the ten staff walked in, everyone in the VIP section turned their heads.
The quiet space suddenly felt heavy with surprise.
People stopped talking, A woman who was looking at shoes paused. A man sipping wine slowly put down his glass. Even the workers behind the counter peeked out.
"What’s going on?" one guest whispered to another.
"I’ve never seen something like this," the woman beside him replied.
Five people carrying white boxes. Five more carrying a shining long box.
In the middle of them all was a man in a neat black suit. His face was calm, but his steps were strong.
"Wait... is that Mr. Cedric?" someone said from another corner.
"It’s the manager," another whispered. "The VIP manager himself."
Everyone was now watching, they all knew what it meant.
Mr. Cedric never came out. He only showed up for the biggest, richest clients. People who bought things no one else could even ask for.
He didn’t just walk around unless something big had happened.
For him to leave his office and walk in front of all the guests like this?
It had to be something special.
Something huge, Some mouths dropped open. Some guests tried to hide their shock by sipping their drinks. But no one was calm anymore.
Even the workers in the boutique looked surprised, they had never seen this kind of scene before.
More than ten staff carrying boxes? One of them sparkling with diamonds?
It didn’t feel real, they all thought the same thing:
Who is this client? Who has that kind of power?
At that moment the whole VIP section fell silent.
Even the sound of footsteps seemed loud now.
The guests watched closely, whispering among themselves, eyes wide with curiosity.
Chloe moved a little to the side. Her arms folded tight, but her face tried to stay calm.
Then Valentina blinked, confused. She didn’t say anything, but she looked around like she wasn’t sure what was happening.
Raymond sat still, quiet, Then, one by one, five of the sales attendants stepped forward and stopped in front of Valentina.
Each of them held a white box, neat and perfect, like something very expensive was inside.
They didn’t place them on the ground. They just stood, holding them—their arms strong, and bodies straight.
Then the next five stepped forward too. These ones were different.
Their boxe were longer, shinier, and had golden corners. There was a soft glow coming from the side of the box, and even without opening it, anyone watching could tell—it was something rare.
The box holding the diamond dress.
At that moment Chloe turned slowly, her eyes wide now, Victoria stepped back a little, confused but quiet.
The ten staff members stood like guards, five on the right and five on the left. Their eyes looked ahead, no smiles, no words. It was quiet power.
However all of them were facing Valentina.
And in that moment, every single person in the room realized—Everything was for her.
Seeing the attention Valentina shifted a little in her seat. Her hands rested on her lap, but she looked around with nervous eyes.
Too many people were staring.
She didn’t like this kind of attention. It made her chest feel tight, and her mind feel cloudy. Raymond was calm like always, but she wasn’t used to it yet.
He always did things like this—big, loud things that made everyone stop and look.
Even now, her name was on everyone’s lips. She heard the whispers. She saw the glances. And she knew... it was Raymond again.
Then, the manager stepped forward, He was tall and neat. His suit looked new, and his voice was clear and gentle.
"Good afternoon," he said, standing right in front of Valentina.
"My name is Mr. Cedric. I’m the manager here."
Valentina looked up at him, unsure what to say.
"We just received a special order," he continued. "It was confirmed not long ago, and I’ve made sure it was brought directly here."
