Lucian and Diana sat together at the dining table as they had breakfast. The place was mostly silent except for the hurried footsteps of the maids. There were many things prepared, but Lucian doubted that this was a normal breakfast even for her.

"Shall we go?" Lucian asked after finishing up. He put down the glass and stood up.

Diana, too, finished and nodded. She seemed to be in a great mood despite the earlier embarrassment. She took her car key and walked ahead of Lucian. It seemed just spending time with him made her happy.

The two walked out of the house and sat in one of the cars. Diana then began to drive. She kept stealing glances at him from the mirror even as she drove.

"Did you like the breakfast?" Diana asked, trying to get rid of the silence.

"Yeah. Do you prepare so many things for breakfast daily?" Lucian asked, while glancing out of the window.

"Uh… yes, that is very normal. I choose whatever I want to eat from them," Diana replied after a pause. Then she questioned, "If you don't mind me asking, who else do you have in your family?"

"I don't mind. A younger sister, an aunty who takes care of the house and my sister, that's all," Lucian replied without any emotion in his voice.

"Oh, didn't you say your mother left you soon after your birth? Then your sister…?" Diana asked, heaving a sigh of relief hearing that he didn't mention anything about any woman in his life.

"We aren't blood related. She was the younger sister of a friend, but after he died, I have been taking care of her. But she is more than a real sister," Lucian replied as he thought about the cute little girl.

"I see. That's… commendable; most people would never do what you have done, even though she is just a friend's sister," Diana spoke, truly awed by this. In her mind, his image became even better, and she was now sure he wasn't the type to deceive and cheat.

"Yeah, there are even terrible people like my mother who abandon their own child. Seriously, I wish she would fall from a high building, then a truck would crush her under the tire, then her body would burn, and even the ashes would get thrown into the sewage," Lucian cursed.

While making small talk, they soon arrived in front of a big building with dozens of floors; it was the Brown's company building. Just from this sight, one could tell how magnificent the company was.

She stopped the car in front of the door, then the two of them got off. After passing the car keys to the guard there, she turned and gestured for Lucian to walk along with her.

Taking a deep breath, Diana adopted her usual air of superiority. Even though she could never manage to act all high and mighty in front of Lucian—as he always made her heart flutter—she had to put on an act for now.

As Diana walked along with Lucian, people greeted her but also noticed the extremely handsome man walking beside her. Though based on her personality to avoid all men, no one would think that she could have any relation other than business with him—especially because of their age difference.

'Why are you all looking as if you know everything? Why is no one looking with suspicious eyes? Does it really seem that much impossible for the two of us to be together?' Diana was shouting in her heart, but she maintained her calm appearance outside.

She nodded towards the people who greeted her and walked toward the elevator. Her dress and purse were quite fashionable, and her looks—she looked just like those cold yet divinely beautiful CEOs in dramas. Even her temperament matched perfectly.

They got into the elevator and headed straight towards the tenth floor, where Diana's office was located. Inside it, several women couldn't help but secretly stare at Lucian. They were even wondering if he was going to be a model for their company.

"Please sit down," Diana gestured before taking her seat, doing her best to maintain her professional attitude.

"Do you want coffee or something else?" she asked, and Lucian shook his head.

"Alright then, let's discuss how we are going to cooperate. Aside from your singing talent, you have exceptional programming skills and…" Diana began to speak, pointing out a few things about Lucian before telling him more about her company.

Then Lucian began to speak. At first, Diana listened to him carefully, but just after a few minutes, she was staring at him in a daze. He looked so good even when he was just talking. His knowledge and skills were another attraction for her—she loved how smart he was even at his age.

The two talked for more than an hour. Lucian really planned to make a big deal with the Browns. After all, the more she trusted him and the more invested she became, the bigger the betrayal would be. Diana should feel firsthand how it feels to be abandoned without any choice left.

After almost two hours had passed, Diana and Lucian had come to the same decision, and she was extremely happy to work with him. After all, if they worked together, she would be able to spend more time with him and maybe…

"Great. Then the deal is settled, partner." Lucian smiled and extended his hand. Diana didn't miss a beat as she got a hold of his hand with both of her hands and began to feel his skin.

"Uh…" Lucian looked at her strangely. Even though he was just putting on an act, he really found it hard to believe that this was still the same woman.

"Y-Yes, partner." Coming back to her senses, Diana nodded and shook his hand as she made a deal with the devil.
