My Wife is a Dead Villainess, and I'm Her Living Weapon-Chapter 135: Tricks
Chapter 135: Tricks
"That right?"
Elian watched as his trump cards glided off the one before him. With Tide somehow becoming even tankier, that was his last resort. Invading an enemy with Dominator from the inside was how he managed to win against Heaven’s Fist.
However, while his current enemy was weaker, that tactic would never work. Due to being an insect born and bred for the sea, Tide’s body was sealed and waterproof. The other invaders, while being the same, were crushed and shattered, exposing their insides.
He shut down everything, huh? Elian thought as he licked his lips.
"Thank you, I missed this. You are truly a Tyrant," the golem praised.
Tide tilted his head in confusion, "Ha? Have you gone insane, you bastard? I am going to break you in half, keep you alive, and ravage this city for Virexar."
Elian gripped his hands as he analyzed the situation.
Tide’s growth in Strength and Agility came at the cost of his Intelligence stat lowering by one full rank. He also gained Impervious but had his original Talent, Tenacious, degrade from A to C. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
He really did turn stupider. He isn’t pulling power-ups out of nowhere. Tide is sacrificing parts of himself to adapt. Is that what Tenacious means?
Just then, someone called out to him telepathically. Her worry and frustration were evident as her voice trembled.
"Elian. If he’s made himself impact-proof... can’t I just melt him with the ’Sun’? That’s what we prepared it for."
Thank you, Bianca. But not yet. This bastard is going to be the first of many Tyrants we will fight. I am going to have to find a way to deal with them.
"But..."
Warmth spread into Elian’s non-beating heart. Despite always having his lover watching over him, he fell more and more for her with each passing day. Although he had a hard battle in front of him, he was not worried. For he was not alone.
Bianca, I can only do this because I know you are with me. Using time to learn will be essential for my growth; you know that too, right? Besides, didn’t you sympathize with him?
"Tsk. That was before he insulted my Tyrant."
Aren’t you worrying too much? You used to throw me unarmed at Red Worker Ants for training, right? This is the same.
"Can’t you forget that already? You know this is different!"
Elian couldn’t help chuckling. Compared to what he started with, he had grown leaps and bounds. But against true powerhouses like Sunny, he was far too lacking. And as there wasn’t actually a book he could read, he had no choice but to learn through experience.
"Watch over me," he commanded aloud.
"Naturally, leave your back to me, darling."
Lowering his stance, Elian detonated Cinderglass on his back and lunged forward like a missile. However, unlike before, Tide slammed his leg and charged forward to meet Elian.
"TOO SLOW!" Tide raised his arms and slashed at Elian.
Raising his left arm to block, the golem aimed low and moved to stab Pile Revolver into Tide’s left flank. Their bodies crashed violently, causing the very air to quake.
Like a gale of swords, Tide’s claw tore through Sledgehammer, turning it into scrap. But in response, Elian slammed his stake weapon and detonated.
Bang!
A loud concussive blast shot into the crustacean’s body. But again, all Elian felt was a soft resistance as if he were trying to punch water. Along with a sound—quiet, sharp, just under the threshold of human hearing.
His armor thrums?
"That won’t work!"
Tide’s eyes flared with plasma. He tried to attack Elian with his right hand, but the golem stopped it with his left. The Virexan Tyrant then slashed at Elian using his left claw.
Elian gritted his teeth and once again pulled the trigger of Pile Revolver.
Cinderglass ammo.
BANG!
Flames and fierce winds blew out from the impact point. But Tide’s armor still had not even the slightest dent. In contrast, Elian’s faceplate was ripped off and his left eye was slashed; he felt it close as molten ore began to leak from his injuries.
Just what the hell is that sound? It’s like a sharp whistle but softer.
Tide’s sharp claws were as large as swords and carved through Elian’s defenses. Even against the golem’s compressed onyx armor, the enemy Tyrant’s cuts through his defenses like paper.
But rather than feel angry at the damage he sustained, Elian felt joy instead.
It shakes! THAT’S IT!
Tide drew his arm back for another strike.
"HAHAHA! IDIOT! I ALREADY TOLD YOU THAT IT WON’T WORK!"
Despite Tide’s gloating, Elian didn’t listen. Instead, his mind was focused only on one point: Tide’s green armor. And he already began to understand its properties.
With fervor, Tide clawed, punched, and struck Elian’s face, ripping off his head in the process. Elian, on the other hand, continued to detonate Pile Revolver against the same spot.
Unfortunately, despite the entire salvo, Tide’s armor remained unbroken. With loud laughter, the Lobster man raised Elian by his left hand and slammed his fist violently on Elian’s shoulder joint.
The well-placed punch tore the arm off his torso, with the heavy armor causing the immense weight to fracture and snap. A sharp crack resounded, and Elian’s headless body flew away and crashed pathetically to the ground.
"HAHAHA! I expected more! Just how stupid are you, Elian Reed!"
"Elian, if you keep this up, I am going to get very angry. Stop being so impressed with the waterborne insect and fight back already! If you can’t, let me do it!"
Even as his lover worried, Elian kept silent. He instead was rambling in his mind. Which only a selected few could hear.
His armor vibrates like jelly on a molecular level. That’s why it thrums. Any force over a wide area is dispersed like a wave. Piercing attacks are also rendered useless as his armor stretches with my stab. Then I need an attack that is neither piercing nor blunt trauma.
Unbothered that his head was destroyed, Elian simply switched his vision to use Golem Lake. The pain of being beheaded and dismembered started to dull after the second time.
"Elian, get up already! It hurts me to see you like this!"
Headless, his body stood up.
Like a dullahan, the armored golem turned to the sky.
Sorry for worrying you, Bianca. I will be more careful in the future.
"Dude, what the heck is this guy? He’s still alive, right?"
"How is that thing still human?"
"As you can see, dear viewers, despite the setback, the Elian Reed has gotten back up!"
"Fight on! MR. REED! YOU CAN’T LOSE!"
The world watched as the Tyrant who seemed unstoppable got manhandled and thrown away like a rag. Yet they also saw him rising up like nothing happened.
"Charade, human."
Within an instant, Elian transformed his body back to his human form. Regaining his head and losing his wall armor, he kept his eyes locked on the approaching Lobster man.
"Thanks, Tide. I learned a lot from you."
The enemy Tyrant smirked, "Saying all that crap doesn’t make it true. I already know everything you can do."
But Elian returned the smile and replied with glee, "Then I just need new tricks."
At that point, the golem’s overcoat morphed; it turned into a black bodysuit but with intricate ashen lines covering its parts. Living Metal and Dominator variants wrapped around Elian’s head, creating a sleek helmet.
Compared to the wall armor, this bodysuit seemed defenseless. Tide, however, couldn’t care less. Opening his fists, his sharp claws were on full display as he declared, his eyes glowing.
"I am going to rip you limb from limb and parade your body parts before eating you."
Elian said nothing and raised his left hand, palm out, curling his fingers inward.
"DIE!!"
Tide lunged. Faster than even sound, he moved. He practically vanished and reappeared less than a meter away from Elian and slashed at his face. Within moments, the sword-like claws struck the golem’s helm.
But what happened next shocked everyone. Everyone except Elian.
Cling.
The overbearing attacks that even the harder onyx armor couldn’t resist were finally blocked.
"W-What?" Tide took a step back and looked at his claw in disbelief.
"My turn."
With that short declaration, Elian threw a savage punch into the Tide’s gut. And unlike before, the once unflinching enemy vomited blue blood from the tubes in his mouth.
"Keurk!"
Elian then followed up with a left jab to the face and a full-powered stomp to the chest. Although the golem no longer used heavy weaponry, each blow connected with so much power that sonic booms erupted after each strike.
Tide fell back and crashed on his back; he frantically tried to get back up, his face full of surprise.
"H-How?"
"It was surprising, but not unheard of. I merely oscillated at the opposite frequency as you did. You can’t stop me now, and your blows to me will be weaker than the wind. Thanks to you, my own armor can finally evolve further."
"W-What?"
The ground Elian stood on slowly rose. To anyone else, it looked like a sea sprouting up from nowhere. But many would see that the golem lake that covered the entire battlefield merely returned to its master.
"Thank you, Tide That Roars. I will name this armor type Tide armor in your memory."
"I don’t understand! I was winning mere minutes ago!" Tide roared.
"Sword up."
At Elian’s command, the water he stood on slowly solidified into long blades, each having chain-linked teeth like a chainsaw that began to spin. The sharp whirling grated on the ears and sounded like metal laughing at Tide’s eventual demise.
"Goodbye, Tide That Roars."
