My Wife is a Dead Villainess, and I'm Her Living Weapon-Chapter 71: Weapon
Chapter 71: Weapon
"There. Good as new."
Elian remarked in satisfaction. The battle damaged Fluffy was fully repaired by his metals. Her immense size had eaten nearly every spare gram of metal Elian had amassed.
But considering her combat abilities, it was well worth it. Although I’m going to have to hit more dungeons to get more material. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
"Tsk. So cheap. You didn’t give me any excess."
Elian’s blood began to boil at the wolf’s comment. Fluffy’s enormous 10-meter body needed two dungeons’ worth of material to fill. He would need to clean out more than five dungeons just to fill Fluffy to the brim.
"Stop being a spoiled brat. You are no longer a weakling. When we hit a dungeon get it yourself."
"Huh?"
Seeing Fluffy’s dumbfounded expression, Elian explained, "You can command the Living Metal in your body, can’t you? Just eat those that die. No need to ask for my permission."
"Oh? Are you not wary of me? What if I betray you?" Fluffy asked with a grin.
This cheeky brat.
With a single thought, Elian caused all the Dominator variants inside Fluffy’s body to vibrate. The gigantic wolf in front of him collapsed on the spot.
"You actually can’t."
Struggling to get up, Fluffy grunted, "So it would seem."
At that moment, Bianca along with Silent and Bastion arrived. The two Snow Wolf Alphas quickly checked Fluffy’s condition and examined her new body. Bianca came to Elian with an adorable pout. It seemed she wanted to complain about something.
"Something the matter, Bianca?"
"Fluffy is no longer Fluffy. Her body is hard," she sulked.
Cute.
"Your Dad and Mom are still around. Bastion is even a size bigger. Just fluff them."
"Hmph! It won’t be the same."
Fluffy, who overheard padded over with a mischievous grin, "But I still do though?"
In an instant, the black metallic body of Fluffy turned back to her originally fluffy hair. Bianca tackled her with a squeal the moment she saw the fluff. As soon as she felt that silky-soft fur, her face melted in delight.
Elian who watched the entire thing asked in confusion, "How?"
Fluffy looked at him smugly as she explained, "I hid the pelts in my Living Metal storage. Since I still supply them mana using Dominator variants, they are just as healthy as when I was alive," her eyes narrowed and added, "I can even do this."
At Fluffy’s word her body shivered, but then something amazing happened. Her body began to fold on itself! Entire sections of her torso and limbs shortened and shrunk. Bianca and Elian went slack jawed as they watched.
Within a few short minutes, her entire 10-meter body grew smaller and smaller till she was only 1 meter long. She was even smaller than a regular sized Snow Wolf and appeared like a large dog instead.
"Fluffy! You look adorable!" Bianca cheered!
"Let me guess, you folded entire sections of your body into you Living Metal and had Dominator disperse itself to compensate. How much of your storage can you consume? Can you go even smaller?"
The dog-sized wolf thought for a moment as Bianca hugged her, "Hmm, I think I used 50% of my storage just to hide my own body. If I had other stuff in, I would need to drop it all."
Elian nodded, "Fair enough—you might be even more flexible than I am. If you had the appropriate amounts, could you go even bigger than 10-meters?"
"I probably could, but why bother? At my current weight, I can hold my own on even Winter Wolves."
"Because we probably will fight way bigger. I want to be prepared to deal with various scenarios. For your other brothers and sisters, we need to secure a lot of material."
"Huh? What do you mean Sir Elian? Brothers? Sisters? I have siblings?"
At Fluffy’s question even Bianca grimaced. Silent and Bastion who had kept silent all this time also grew curious.
"Son-in-law, what do you mean? Is that why Whisper’s species is now defined as a Weapon of Valestra?"
"Even Strength of Winter failed to establish a faction. I was told the requirements were extremely strict. We could never figure it out."
I see. That is why the Ants had a faction, "Red Swarm" but the Snow wolves did not. Even among the Tyrant’s there are vast differences. But one cannot be a king without a people.
"I still do not know. But as to all of you I will share what I plan to do. Moving forward, we will assault dungeons, our goal is to get me four more marks." Elian then stared at Bianca as he solemnly declared, "And we will build up our family, the Weapons of Valestra."
Bastion furrowed his brow and asked in a gruff tone, "Explain."
Before Elian could speak, he glanced at Bianca. The witch nodded in understanding, "Sigh. I kind of expected you to do this when I heard the faction’s name."
Bianca folded her arms, eyes shining. "But know this. This is our family. Ours. I get a say who you bring back. Understood? Even if they are powerful, if I do not like them, I will refuse, are we clear?"
"Yes, thank you, Bianca," Elian smiled.
If killing was taboo, then so was dragging the dead back to fight again. Most cultures believed that the afterlife was sacred.
I have no idea how Fralhame treats their dead, but although their opinion doesn’t really matter, I do not want to offend my in-laws.
Silent approached Elian with stern eyes, "Son-in-law, you aren’t implying that you will forge an army from the departed, are you?"
"I am."
At the Tyrant’s declaration everyone fell into silence. But then Bastion nodded and stepped forward.
"Then I shall go next."
"Huh? Dad, what are you saying! You aren’t dead yet!" Bianca shrieked!
But Bastion turned to Fluffy and then Elian.
"It matters not. Whisper’s power despite regressing is enough to fight on near equal footing with Elian. At my level I will be nothing but a burden. I already failed to protect my family once before. I will not do so again."
"Dad..."
"Elian, you intend to wage war on both humans and subordinate Fralhame, right? This is the reason why you need a large army that can keep up with you. And because you expect to fight multiple armies at once."
As expected of father-in-law. He is already familiar with how the crucible wars would work.
"Yes, the fact that Earth has multiple dungeons means in the future, we will be also at war with multiple races. If Virexar really does come for revenge, I can’t afford to stop just because they show up. I need a force capable of fighting multiple wars at once."
Elian looked at Fluffy and envisioned what she might become by the time she reached Radiant tier. Given her intellect and stats, by then, she would already be a monster who could stop a Red Swarm invasion by her own.
Each Weapon will become a being capable of conquering a planet. And I will lead them. If the crucible demands Tyrants. I will show them what a Tyrant truly is.
"Sigh. Men. If my husband is going, then so shall I."
"What? But mom!"
Silent brushed her face against Bianca tenderly, "Daughter, surely you are not excluding me from your family, are you? I have told you before, I too have lamented my weakness. Unlike your father I have no interest in conquest. I will grow stronger for only one thing."
She then bared her fangs and growled in anger, it was so feral it took everyone present off guard, "No human will ever harm you again so long as I am alive. I will rip out their throats before they even try."
Bianca grew teary eyed as she hugged Silent’s face, "You are all too much, what did I even do to deserve being loved like this? What if we lose?"
In that moment, with a unified voice, Elian, Fluffy, Bastion and Silent said the same thing without meaning too.
"We won’t."
Hearing the confident replies, Bianca grew flustered. But Fluffy and Silent calmed her down—burying her beneath a tidal wave of fur.
Bastion on the other hand came to Elian.
"What are your plans, now?"
Elian rubbed his chin as he thought for a moment.
"Overhaul requires immense amounts of material. And for you and mother-in-law to display similar power, we would need cores at least Tyrant grade."
"Do you mean to go to other dungeons now or will you simply buy them from the humans?"
Elian narrowed his eyes. "You can buy them?"
"Yes," Bastion nodded. "There are auctions where dungeon materials are sold. Weapons, cores, even monsters. We were bought the same way—by the church."
Buying cores might tip them off. Too risky. But raiding dungeons might trigger another vengeance protocol. I need a way to stop that attack.
Bastion scoffed. "If you are worried about the vengeance protocol then don’t. I do not believe that would work on you."
"Huh? Why?"
"Because you can’t even be scanned. When I do all it says is ’Information not available.’ I don’t know what the others see, but from my end... it’s like the system doesn’t even register you."
"Ho? Interesting... Let’s see how far I can take that."
