My Wife is a Dead Villainess, and I'm Her Living Weapon-Chapter 88: Wife
Chapter 88: Wife
This is all my fault.
Bianca’s mind kept going back to that one thought.
She held in her hands a tiny figure. An ashen golem the size of a small toy. It had a serene face despite the chaos that surrounded it. Bianca knew this soul well. It was one that she would never mistake for someone else.
It was Elian Reed.
The young boy she saved just a few months ago. Someone who she intended to use and throw away in the beginning. And now was the most important person to her.
Idiot.
That was the only word fit to describe him. For all his tactical brilliance he was a foolhardy idiot. Whenever it concerned Bianca, his logic flew out the window. Bianca should be angry; she should be frustrated. Yet she couldn’t help but feel relief.
We meet again Heaven’s Fist.
At her feet was the man who tormented her nightmares. Someone she died to defeat. In truth, the moment Bianca saw him, the images of Heaven’s Fist’s atrocities surfaced in her mind.
You never stopped hunting me, you senile bastard. So many of my friends died trying to stop you. Despite giving my all, I still died from the wound you gave me.
Rage filled her heart; she bit her lip as she gazed at the face of the man who made her life a living hell. A demigod who could not be defeated by anyone from her generation. He stood at the pinnacle and trampled everything in his path.
I hated you. Each day I suffered alone in that cave with nothing but shadows, I hated you. My anger was the main reason I couldn’t allow myself to die. You wanted me dead. So I did everything in my power to not die. I couldn’t let you win.
Yet, right now, his eyes were slack, and drool spilled down his mouth. Bianca could understand why.
He is gone.
His body which had been impregnable, and immortal was now dead. The mind who wielded it no longer existed.
Bianca sighed.
I suppose I should say thank you. Because of your existence, I endured and met the man who would become my husband. And you accomplished your purpose; you raised a monster that could take over Earth and win the crucible.
She could sense the liters of Dominator variants inside Heaven’s Fist’s body. While outside his limbs were bound and encased in Living Metal.
Just what kind of battle did Elian fight?
She looked up and saw hundreds of gun barrels pointed at this exact spot. It looked like a forest of firearms. It was unlike everything she had seen before.
Elian didn’t need to fight Heaven’s Fist.
Much like with everyone else, the old man must have offered him a 50-year grace period.
If Elian took it, he could amass power and fight safely.
But he didn’t.
And Bianca knew why.
Idiot. Idiot. Truly a hopeless idiot.
Despite her harsh words, Bianca’s lips curled into a smile. A fuzzy warm feeling spread across her heart.
It felt wonderful.
To be protected. To be cherished without anything in exchange.
Fluffy shared what happened. The moment Elian learned of who Heaven’s Fist was and what the old man did to her; he made his decision.
Elian resolved to kill him at any cost. And rather than use the army they built together, he sent them all away to protect her.
Even as her lover challenged what had to be his hardest battle, he still worried about her safety more than his own.
I had already chosen to be his lover just yesterday. But now I’m scared. What would I have done if I came back and Elian was dead? I would’ve broken. And if he dies because of me... should I really stay with him?
When the commands binding Fluffy and the Flame Swallows all vanished, they raced back. And they saw a large group of Church Breakers descending onto Elian like vultures.
Naturally, the Snow Wolves and Flame Swallows retaliated—howls and fire split the sky.
Amid the chaos Bianca made a bed of ice and placed Elian on it. She then laid on her side her eyes locked on her tiny protector. She studied his adorable features before giving him a soft peck on the cheek.
Be satisfied with this for now.
Despite the cold, she felt her cheeks hot. In a fluster her mind raced. Knowing how cheeky Elian could be, a realization dawned on her. They already kissed. It was hardly something new. She imagined Elian sighing in disappointment.
Taking down Heaven’s Fist is an impossible achievement! Elian would not be satisfied with just a kiss. W-What do I do if he suddenly asks for more? What if he asks me for THAT! I don’t even have a body yet!
Abruptly Bianca got off the bed. She started to pace as she tried to think of something, anything she could give as a reward. Her own desires began to warp her delusions.
"Daughter? Are you alright?"
"Mom? I-I uhm... yes, I am fine."
Silent Frozen Star, Bianca’s adoptive mother looked at the tiny golem on the bed. Then she gazed at her human daughter, specifically her lower half. Her eyes narrowed in delight.
"Hmm. You wanted to mate with him, didn’t you?"
"What? No! I did not!" Bianca shrieked as she waved her hand in panic.
Silent giggled and came closer.
"Daughter do not be ashamed. No woman would be able to withhold her affection after such a display of loyalty. You know how much Son-in-law would have needed to love you to do what he just did, no?"
Bianca nodded as her cheeks flushed.
"What more can I give him? I’m not even whole. I’m terrified he’ll leave once he realizes I have nothing left to offer."
Silent rubbed her nuzzle into Bianca and answered softly.
"Daughter, do you remember what is the law of Fralhame?"
"Yes."
"It’s to live a life of your own choices. This means to respect the choices made by others." Silent separated from Bianca and gazed into her eyes. "Son-in-law choose to love you. Repeatedly, he vowed to keep you safe, he is a kind soul, yet he drenches himself in blood."
"..."
Silent’s words caused Bianca to bite her lip in frustration.
"But that is out of your control."
"Huh? But it’s my fault! If it wasn’t for me..."
"Bianca, my daughter, you are not Son-in-law’s owner, you are his wife. Your role is not to control him. It is to protect his heart. He chose to fight a war for your future. Your focus should not be on the results of his actions, but the toll it will take on him."
"I-I..."
"Daughter, the only thing you are responsible for is your own choice. You cannot control how he loves you. But you can control how to respond."
Again, Silent pressed her face against Bianca’s body, the warmth of her soft silky fur felt pleasant to the touch. Bianca could feel the tension in her body melt away every time one of the Snow Wolves hugged her like this.
"Then what should I do, Mom?"
Silent smiled and licked Bianca’s face. "Give him what any man craves. Tell him you’re proud of what he did. Let him know you understand why he did it. That you appreciate it. That you’re grateful he’s yours. Open your heart, daughter. Bare it all."
"But what if I get hurt?" Bianca whispered.
"Such is love. Make no mistake, daughter. You will get hurt. When Son-in-law dies, fails or breaks, you will hurt so much you wish you were dead," Silent prophesied.
"Then..."
"But you will also feel bliss. Happiness unlike any other. You will feel pleasure when you become one. You will feel contentment when you give birth to his children. You will revel in joy just being with him. You will love living so long as he is with you."
Bianca then allowed her mind to wander. To imagine all the wonderful things her mother just described. As well as all the dark things that may come to pass.
"To choose joy means to risk sadness. To choose love means to risk heartbreak. You cannot have one without the other. Do you believe that giving up all the good things makes up for not experiencing the bad? Can you live with yourself if you cower?"
A moment of quiet passed. And then...
"No, I can’t live without Elian anymore. I want to be with him. Even if it means I will get hurt then I am willing to risk it," the witch declared.
Silent nodded in satisfaction, "Good. I would have beaten you if you said yes."
"Mom..."
"Fufu, love him my daughter. Choose to love him each and every day. There will be dark days, that is true. But compared to all the wonderful days that may come, you must seize them of your own volition. You must push on despite the fear, despite the pain."
"Yes. Thanks, Mom."
"And I found you a body, it’s a human who looks like you. Possess her and give me grandchildren already."
"MOM!"
