Mystery Paradise: Wishing Power Demon-Chapter 255 - 254 Trinity
Chapter 255: Chapter 254 Trinity
Chapter 255 -254 Trinity
“Ah, that’s right, that’s right, I built the Great Wall with my own two hands, and then a cell claims it also contributed to the effort. Just watch me crush it to death,” Chaoyang said with a sneer.
“Why do you always have a grudge against cells? What did they ever do to you?” it shouted.
“Evil Gods… are they all like this?” K asked, curious.
“More accurately, they should be called Primordial Gods. If it were the whole of me, ordinary life wouldn’t be able to comprehend, and the consequence of forced comprehension is Unity. But I’m not so idle to have nothing to do after eating to my fill. If I were to appear in a form you couldn’t understand, that you can’t touch or even sense at all, what would be the point?” the other party stated as if it were obvious, “Many intelligent life-forms have a misunderstanding that the world must be as they see it. But from another perspective, if they can’t even see it, how can they describe it? So the answer is only one: you perceive as much as the Primordial Gods present.”
“That actually… makes some sense,” Ailuodi said, slightly surprised.
“Then you shouldn’t look like a Slime, right?” Chaoyang shrugged, “Does that form help us understand better?”
“Initially, I did plan to take the same form as you, but the power here is too diluted… I can’t maintain a human form all the time,” it said as its body undulated, “Also, what is a Slime?”
“Your current appearance is pretty much like a Slime.”
“…That doesn’t sound very nice.”
“So… where did you learn your language from?” K asked next.
“I don’t need to learn; the knowledge born from the river of time becomes part of my origin,” it corrected, “But knowledge exists in different systems, so time is needed to correspond. I deciphered the language issue through broadcasts and daily conversation.”
“Like what?”
“Akasas Tatalon Volcatas.” The Slime suddenly uttered an incomprehensible string of words.
But as the sound faded, K’s body spasmed violently, and a series of hoarse electromagnetic interference noises issued from his mouth, and soon even smoke began to emerge from the back of his head!
“What did you do?” Ailuodi exclaimed in alarm.
“An example, it’s a language from a robot civilization, which currently has no equivalent sentences in this world,” the Slime explained calmly, “Don’t worry, it’s not a power, and it has done no harm to him.”
“Mr. K!” The door slammed open as Dan rushed in, lifted up the collapsed robot from the chair, and looked towards the two with an angry expression, “What have you done to him!?”
Clearly, he was also able to monitor the state of this mechanical body from outside.
“It’s okay, Dan, it has nothing to do with them,” Suddenly, K’s voice appeared again—but this time, it came from the loudspeaker in the room. “And my main body is fine; it is only the loss of a shell. Please invite them to the dark room.”
“The dark room… Are you sure?”
“Yes, I promised them before, once this matter is settled, I would tell them the truth. They came to M City especially for this; they probably want to understand what I really am, and now seems like a good opportunity.”
“I understand.” Dan set down the smoking robot, bowed to the two, “I apologize for the rudeness earlier. Please follow me.”
Having left the study, he made his way to the storage room below and pressed his palm against the identity verifier on the wall. With a light beep, the wall on one side of the storage room slowly slid open, revealing an exaggeratedly large metal door behind it. It was even larger than the gear door at the entrance, with a dozen locking bolts each as thick as an arm. Only when all these bolts were withdrawn did the door slowly sink into a gap in the floor.
Dan took the lead and walked into the passage, “Please come in, this is the secret chamber.”

The room behind the door was also a storage room, except the floor had sunk down a level, so stepping over the threshold meant they were standing on the second floor of the secret chamber.
Though it was called a secret chamber, it wasn’t dark at all; overhead were blindingly bright gridded lights, illuminating every detail inside the room. And on the floor below the second level were three cubic structures about ten meters in size, arranged in a triangle. On either side of the cube at the top were rows of electronic equipment that appeared to be some sort of battery storage devices, looking like a horizontal bar.
“Ah…” Ailuodi gasped. Below this horizontal structure and diagonally downwards, the two cubes formed the shape of a “K”.
Chaoyang used his powers to scan the area and discovered there were no communication interfaces; in other words, this was a completely closed system that theoretically didn’t have the ability to interact with the outside world.
“Can you explain this to us?”
“This is K, or rather, what you see is a supercomputer system named K,” the familiar voice spoke up again through the speaker.
“Wait, aren’t you an Angel?” Ailuodi widened her eyes.
“I once was an Angel.” K spoke unhurriedly, “Actually, this is a rather old story, so please allow me to tell it slowly.”
——When K was young, like many Angels, he believed that saving more people was the best affirmation of his gifted abilities, and that fame, wealth, and power were effective means to that end. He did indeed achieve this, his company making billions of dollars, which he used to support many people living below the poverty line.
However, K soon encountered a problem; it seemed like he earned a lot, but compared to the number of people in the world needing aid, it was just a drop in the bucket, or rather… the latter was astronomically larger. As the company grew larger, the board began to intervene in its operation and made new demands on profit efficiency, causing the company to no longer be solely under his control. What frightened K even more was that he started to take pleasure in expanding his enterprise, realizing that saving a few more or fewer people made no substantial difference in the energy generated.
This is a flaw in human nature; it is very difficult to overcome such desires with personal will alone—especially after he saw firsthand how large multinational corporations harvested underdeveloped areas, he understood that even if an individual could, a collective named capital would not allow it.
It was at this time that a family business studying brain science approached him for investment.
After understanding the details, K made an important decision.
“I split myself into three, becoming a digital consciousness. The leading computer is called Logic, and the two beneath it are Rationality and Emotion. While the tripartite form is not the most perfect division, it is undoubtedly the best choice given the current state of technology.”
Chaoyang furrowed his brow, “So you uploaded your consciousness?”
“Not uploaded, but simulated. When the Trinity was built, science and technology had not advanced to that level, and even today, it is still unknown whether humans can freely upload consciousness and transform into digital life. The K you know is indeed me, but I am not the K that made the decision.”
A shiver ran through Ailuodi, “So the previous K…”
“Simulation required the brain to be removed and soaked in a solution filled with electrodes. Moreover, K was seriously wounded in a battle with the Demon Sussas, and likely wouldn’t have lived to this day even without this plan. So yes… the previous Angel no longer exists in this world.”
K said calmly.
