Mystic Calling:Stone of Glory-Chapter 88: Form of Light!
Chapter 88: Form of Light!
Gulp—
Even though Ethan had already witnessed this earth-shattering power before, he still couldn’t help but stare in awe, completely dumbfounded. It felt like his entire worldview was being shattered and rebuilt all over again!
What did it mean to have over a thousand Tier 6 Three-Headed Hellhounds?
It meant enough firepower to wipe out a medium-sized guild in the player community!
In other words, Seraphina could obliterate guilds like Inferno Dragons or Nocturnal Crescent with just a single blast of her Venomous Dragon Breath!
And what if it was a large guild?
Two breaths, tops!
If two weren’t enough, she’d just throw in a few more breaths and call it a day...
"No wonder Seraphina always calls the Infernal Legions weak. Compared to her, they really are weak as hell..." Ethan muttered, shaking his head in disbelief as he glanced toward Seraphina. "Her Venomous Dragon Breath right now is probably on par with a real mage hero’s ultimate spell, isn’t it?"
He had always assumed that heroes like Seraphina—those god-tier warriors—would have some inherent weaknesses. Sure, they’d dominate in one-on-one combat, but he figured they’d struggle when it came to crowd control or massive AoE damage.
But now, Ethan realized how naive and foolish that assumption had been.
"Lady Seraphina’s current strength is comparable to a legendary demigod," Elynn said, as if reading Ethan’s mind. Her voice was filled with awe and reverence. "As far as I know, demigods don’t really have any obvious weaknesses."
After saying this, even Elynn couldn’t hide her astonishment, murmuring softly, "An adult Seraphina is truly terrifying! She’s literally every enemy’s worst nightmare... I can’t even imagine how insanely powerful she’ll become once she reaches her peak!"
Hearing this, Ethan paused for a moment, then suddenly calmed down.
Sure, Seraphina was born a genius, a natural powerhouse. If she kept leveling up and reached her peak, she’d undoubtedly become a world-class existence—maybe even rivaling the gods themselves.
But right now, she still had one glaring issue: she was still too inexperienced, her level was still too low.
In the world of Glory Lords X, although Tier was the most critical factor, levels and primary attributes weren’t something you could just ignore!
On the contrary, levels and attribute points were extremely important!
To put it simply:
Seraphina was a Crimson Ultimate hero, grade C.
Elyra was a Legendary hero, grade B.
Logically speaking, Elyra shouldn’t even come close to Seraphina’s raw power!
But in reality, if Seraphina was only level 15 and Elyra was level 50 or even 60, it would be genuinely hard to say who’d win in a one-on-one fight!
In other words, if Emerald Castle ran into other heroes commanding Tier 11 or even high-level Tier 10 units right now, they’d probably be in serious trouble, wouldn’t they?
"Ah, whatever. It’s not like Legendary heroes grow on trees anyway," Ethan shook his head, dismissing the thought. Turning toward Elyra, who was excitedly chirping and squeaking at Seraphina, he smiled warmly, "Hey Elyra, come here and let me see how many levels you’ve gained."
"Gurururu~"
Hearing Ethan’s voice, Elyra immediately jumped into his arms, snuggling affectionately and making cute little noises.
At the same time, Elyra’s status panel appeared clearly before Ethan’s eyes.
[Elyra Auradane]
Gender: Female
Level: 6
...
"Already level 6?" Ethan was genuinely surprised.
Sure, they’d defeated over a thousand Tier 6 Three-Headed Hellhounds, but Elyra hadn’t contributed directly, meaning she’d only received the minimum 3% experience share. Logically, that shouldn’t have been enough to level her up so quickly, right?
"Oh, right! How could I forget something so obvious?" Ethan suddenly smacked his forehead as realization dawned on him.
"Different hero tiers must have vastly different experience requirements..."
Seraphina was a Tier 13 Crimson Ultimate hero—her experience bar was undoubtedly thousands of times longer than that of lower-tier heroes!
Elyra, on the other hand, was an 11th-tier Legendary hero. Although still impressive, her experience requirements would naturally be far lower compared to Seraphina’s.
Given this difference, their leveling speeds and experience bars couldn’t possibly be compared directly!
"If that’s the case, Elyra might reach adulthood sooner than I expected," Ethan said, anticipation creeping into his voice.
Even though Elyra wasn’t quite as innately powerful as Seraphina, she was still Ethan’s first pure-blooded mage hero. He couldn’t wait to see the kind of battlefield dominance and devastating AoE spells she’d unleash once she reached adulthood!
"Master, I have an idea. Would you like to hear it?" Elynn suddenly spoke up.
"What idea?" Ethan turned to Elynn curiously.
"Well, if you want Lady Elyra to reach adulthood quickly, maybe you could let her personally finish off some of those Three-Headed Hellhounds," Elynn suggested with a smile. "With Lady Seraphina protecting her, forget about mere Tier 6 Hellhounds—even if Tier 11 or 12 Inferno units showed up, they wouldn’t be able to lay a finger on Elyra."
"Besides, Lady Elyra already knows some AoE spells, doesn’t she? Tossing out a few area-of-effect spells shouldn’t take too long at all."
Hearing this, Ethan’s eyes immediately lit up.
"That’s brilliant!"
"Seraphina!" Ethan wasted no time and called out to her immediately.
"Roar! Roar! Roar..." Seraphina, who had been busy tearing apart the Three-Headed Hellhound, instantly spread her wings and soared into the sky upon hearing Ethan’s voice. Like a black meteor, she swiftly landed right in front of him.
"Master!" Seraphina greeted him affectionately.
"Seraphina, take Elyra with you and help her level up. Remember, don’t attack directly—just protect her. Let Elyra use her own AoE magic to take down the enemies. That way, she’ll grow stronger much faster!" Ethan instructed.
"Got it, no problem!" Seraphina had already lost any hostility toward Elyra by now, so she nodded without hesitation and turned toward Elyra. "Come on, Elyra! Hop onto my back!"
"Gulp...gulp..."
Elyra looked a little nervous, but she didn’t back down. Instead, she slowly climbed onto Seraphina’s back.
"Don’t worry, Elyra! Believe in yourself! You’re the great Unicorn Mage Hero, remember? Show those damned Inferno troops what it feels like to be dominated by magic!" Ethan noticed Elyra’s hesitation and encouraged her with a confident wave and a reassuring smile.
Aside from special cases like Seraphina, who was naturally battle-hungry, or Cicero, who was naturally lazy, it was perfectly normal for anyone to feel nervous or scared when facing their first real battle.
Once you got past that initial fear, it was no big deal.
"Gulp...gulp!"
Encouraged by Ethan’s words, Elyra nodded vigorously, and suddenly, an incredible surge of magical energy erupted from within her!
Boom!
A powerful wave of magic instantly enveloped Elyra’s entire body, transforming her into a radiant, ethereal form glowing with pure energy!
At the same moment, Ethan heard the system notification ringing clearly in his ears:
"Player Valkarion’s Hero Unit Elyra has activated the innate talent skill ’Avatar of Light & Thunder,’ transforming into Form of Light! Light Magic damage increased by 15%! Mana consumption reduced by 30%! Duration: 15 minutes!"
"What incredible magical energy..." Ethan murmured in awe.
As Elyra activated her "Avatar of Light & Thunder," Seraphina, Cicero, and even Elynn all turned their heads toward her, their eyes filled with curiosity and surprise.
Although Seraphina and Cicero possessed their own innate talent—Venomous Dragon Breath—which was also a form of magical power, it wasn’t purely magical.
After all, dragons’ powers were always centered around Draconic Force, with other types of energy merely supporting it.
But Elyra’s current talent was different.
As a unicorn, a creature symbolizing purity and holiness, Elyra himself was practically the embodiment of pure Light Force!
Because of this, Elyra’s magic was incredibly pure and powerful—so much so that it clearly surpassed even Seraphina and Cicero’s Venomous Dragon Breath in terms of sheer magical depth!
In other words, it was no exaggeration to say that once Elyra’s hero level grew high enough, her AoE magic damage could easily match—or even surpass—the destructive power of Venomous Dragon Breath!
"Alright, Elyra, we’ve only got fifteen minutes. Show me what your magic can do!" Ethan encouraged enthusiastically.
"Hold on tight, Elyra—we’re going in!" Seraphina shouted.
Roar!
With a fierce dragon cry, Seraphina shot straight into the sky, instantly soaring high above the Doom Mountains. At that moment, the surviving Tier-6 Three-Headed Hellhounds below snarled viciously, their eyes filled with savage fury as they unleashed beams of demonic energy toward Seraphina.
These Tier-6 Three-Headed Hellhounds were ground units, not flyers, so they couldn’t take to the skies. However, each of their three monstrous heads could fire devastatingly powerful demonic beams—fast, precise, and deadly.
If these beams were unleashed in large numbers, they’d spell absolute disaster for lower-tier flying units. But for Seraphina, these attacks were nothing more than a tickle—actually, not even that.
Because none of these demonic beams could even get close to her!
Boom!
A massive, dark-green shield formed from pure Draconic Force appeared in front of Seraphina, effortlessly blocking every incoming demonic beam. They couldn’t even create a ripple on its surface.
Roar!
"Now, Elyra! Show these pests what you’re made of!" Seraphina roared encouragingly.
"Neigh!"
Elyra let out a majestic, divine cry.
Boom!
Suddenly, Elyra’s small body erupted with dazzling bolts of lightning, accompanied by a brilliant, blinding holy radiance powerful enough to illuminate the entire sky. The storm of energy rapidly expanded, growing larger and larger—
Then, with a deafening roar, it crashed down upon the Tier-6 Three-Headed Hellhounds below, bombarding them mercilessly!
This was Elyra’s innate AoE talent skill—Divine Storm! It unleashed a massive storm of lightning and holy energy, covering a wide area and dealing devastating damage!
