Chapter 36 - New Journey

A year had passed since the agreement between Tsubasa and the daimyo of the Land of Tea was forged.

Time flew by quickly, bringing with it the winds of change that were felt throughout the land.

Who would have thought that in such a short time, the name of the Takagami ninja group, led by Tsubasa, would soar high in the Land of Tea.

Their reputation skyrocketed, surpassing other ninja clans that had long been rooted in the region.

All of this was thanks to the ambitious project they were working on: the construction of a Japanese-castle style skyscraper equipped with modern technology.

Rumors about the giant project spread from mouth to mouth, from village to town, reaching the ears of nobles and daimyo in neighboring lands.

Initially, many doubted, scoffing at the crazy idea as the fantasy of an overly confident ninja.

However, those doubts slowly dissipated as the magnificent building took shape.

In less than a year, construction was almost 80% complete. An extraordinary construction speed, beyond ordinary human comprehension.

The secret behind this speed and miracle lay in the synergy between chakra and ninjutsu power.

Yes, ninjutsu, which had been known as the weapon of ninjas for warfare and carrying out secret missions, was now repurposed as a large-scale construction tool.

Every day, the scene at the construction site was always bustling and magical.

Hundreds of Kage Bunshin—shadow clones—roamed around, each shouldering their own tasks. Some were lifting giant stone blocks, some were leveling the ground, and others were installing building ornaments with high precision.

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, Naruto Uzumaki's signature ninjutsu, had now transformed in Tsubasa's hands.

"Yosh! Shadow Clones! Speed up the installation of beams on the 30th floor!" shouted one of the Kongō ninjas, giving commands to dozens of his shadow clones.

The clones responded in unison spiritedly, "Osh!" and worked even more diligently.

Tsubasa had indeed modified the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu to be more efficient for construction work.

His greatest innovation lay in minimizing chakra usage and eliminating the memory feedback process when clones disappeared.

In traditional Kage Bunshin, when a clone disappeared, all of the clone's experiences and memories would return to the user.

This was indeed very useful for training and information gathering, but less practical for mass work such as construction.

"With this modification," Tsubasa murmured while observing the Shadow Clones working, "anyone, even ninjas without special talent like Naruto, can use this construction version of Kage Bunshin more freely."

"Indeed, the main advantage of Kage Bunshin as a training cheat is lost, but for special cases like this... it's really very helpful," he added.

He smiled in satisfaction. This was a new ninjutsu, or rather another version of Kage Bunshin. Users could choose which version they wanted to use, depending on the situation and needs.

During this year, Tsubasa had mostly acted as a project planner and supervisor.

He rarely directly intervened in construction, except during the making of the hydroelectric power plant and the creation of technologically advanced equipment such as air conditioners, elevators, and others.

"Let me take care of the power plant and advanced technology," he thought at the time, "while for the installation matters, just leave it to my men, they should be more than enough."

Heavy physical construction tasks were fully entrusted to the Kongō clan, while the Iburi clan, who had now recovered thanks to Tsubasa's magic potion, helped with detail work and technology installation.

(Flashback)

"This is truly a miracle, Tsubasa-sama," said an elder of the Iburi Clan with teary eyes, looking at Tsubasa with deep gratitude. "After years of suffering, we are finally able to control our bodies fully again."

Yes, Tsubasa had succeeded in creating a solution to the Iburi Clan's problem with his latest invention.

By deeply researching Hajime's body and soul, Tsubasa finally found the difference between Hajime and other Iburi Clan members.

After knowing the root of the problem, Tsubasa ordered his clones to conduct full research so that the Iburi Clan's problem could be resolved immediately.

After his clones experimented for about three months, a magic potion was finally successfully created.

A potion that could grant Iburi Clan members the ability to control their bodies like Hajime.

"But, main body, how to give this potion to Iburi Clan members who are still in smoke form?" asked one of Tsubasa's clones during a meeting.

A new problem arose; Tsubasa finally realized that he could not give liquid potion to creatures without physical bodies.

So, Tsubasa again ordered his clones to research this problem.

A month later, a magic gas was successfully created, a gas that could make Iburi Clan members return to their human form temporarily.

After that, all the remaining Iburi Clan members were brought to his ninja village to be given the magic gas.

The Iburi Clan's healing and recovery process began, all Iburi clan members were finally able to control their body transformation.

After their problems were resolved, the Iburi Clan became the most loyal clan to Tsubasa.

They would listen to all of Tsubasa's orders without question, even if they did not understand the specific purpose.

This absolute obedience and full trust were highly appreciated by Tsubasa.

"Lord Tsubasa, today's construction progress report," Kohaku, the Kongō clan leader, approached Tsubasa while carrying a large paper scroll.

Tsubasa received the scroll and unrolled it. "Hmm, very good, Kohaku. Today's progress exceeds the target. You guys are truly amazing."

Kohaku smiled proudly. "This is all thanks to the cooperation of all Kongō and Iburi clan members, Tsubasa-sama. And of course, thanks to your modified Kage Bunshin no Jutsu."

"Solid cooperation is indeed the main key," Tsubasa said, nodding in agreement. "The Kongō clan is strong in structural construction, the Iburi clan is skilled in detail work and technology installation. A perfect synergy."

"We are very grateful to you, Tsubasa-sama," Hajime chimed in, standing next to Kohaku. "Before, we felt hopeless with our Kekkei Genkai condition. But thanks to your potion, we can control our bodies again."

Tsubasa smiled gently. "I'm glad your problem is solved. The Iburi clan is a valuable asset to our ninja village. Don't hesitate to ask for help if there are any problems."

"Yes, Tsubasa-sama!" Hajime replied spiritedly.

Tsubasa looked back at the skyscraper towering before him.

The building grew more magnificent day by day, getting closer to his dream of creating a new landmark for the Land of Tea.

He felt satisfied with the progress of this project, not only because of the magnificent building, but also because he had succeeded in uniting two different ninja clans, the Kongō and Iburi clans, in a common goal.

In the midst of the bustling construction project, Tsubasa received other happy news.

News that warmed his heart, more than just the success of the project and the loyalty of the Iburi clan.

That news was about his older brother, Ozora.

"Tsubasa! Tsubasa!" Ozora came running towards Tsubasa with a beaming face. "I have good news!"

Tsubasa raised his eyebrows, curious. "Good news? What good news?"

Ozora took a deep breath before replying, "I... I am officially dating Rui!"

Tsubasa was silent for a moment, then his eyes lit up. "Really? Nii-san! Congratulations! You finally confessed your feelings to Rui?"

Ozora nodded shyly while smiling widely. "Yes! Rui accepted me! Do you know, Tsubasa? She is... she is..." Ozora was at a loss for words, his face flushed red.

Tsubasa laughed, watching his older brother, usually so cool and composed, now become flustered like a lovestruck teenager. "I know, Nii-san. Rui is indeed a kind and beautiful girl. I'm glad you finally dared to take the step."

"Every time I return to the village, all I think about is coming to see her immediately," Ozora continued, his eyes sparkling. "We often go for walks, eat together, even... even..." Ozora blushed again, not daring to continue his sentence.

"Even what?" Tsubasa teased with a grin. "Even holding hands? Kissing?"

"Tsubasa!" Ozora lightly punched Tsubasa's arm, his face becoming even redder. "Don't tease me!"

Tsubasa burst out laughing. He was truly happy to see his brother this happy. "I'm serious, Nii-san. I am truly happy for you both. I hope you get married and have children soon, so the Takagami clan can continue."

"Married... children..." Ozora murmured softly, imagining a beautiful future with Rui.

His face flushed even more, but this time not from embarrassment, but from imagining the happiness to come.

"Now, instead of daydreaming, you'd better help me supervise this construction project," Tsubasa patted Ozora's shoulder, snapping him out of his reverie. "You're also part of the core project team, you know."

"Ah, yes, sorry," Ozora realized. "Alright, time to get back to work!" Ozora regained his enthusiasm, perhaps wanting to finish this job quickly and return to his sweetheart.

---

Amidst the busyness of the construction project and village affairs, Tsubasa still made time to learn a new skill, which was swordsmithing.

He became an apprentice to the best katana blacksmith in the capital of the Land of Tea.

Every afternoon, after finishing his duties, he would definitely visit his chosen blacksmith's workshop.

In the blacksmith's workshop located in a narrow alley of the capital, Tsubasa learned the traditional katana forging technique.

"Young man, you have talent," praised the old blacksmith one afternoon, when Tsubasa successfully forged a raw katana blade quite well. "Your movements are steady, your strikes are directed. You have the instinct of a blacksmith."

Tsubasa smiled thinly. "Thank you, master. But I still have much to learn."

"That's right, learning is endless," said the blacksmith, nodding in agreement. "But you already have good basics. With perseverance and practice, you will become a great blacksmith."

"Actually, master," Tsubasa said hesitantly, "I'm learning to forge swords not just to be able to make ordinary katanas. I have a greater ambition."

"A greater ambition?" the blacksmith raised his eyebrows, intrigued. "What kind of ambition?"

"I want to make the strongest sword," Tsubasa replied firmly. "A sword stronger than Kusanagi no Tsurugi."

The blacksmith chuckled. "Kusanagi no Tsurugi? Your ambition is very high, young man."

"I know it's a very difficult ambition," said Tsubasa, "but I believe I can make it happen. I have technology that can turn ordinary metal into chakra metal for a long time. I want to use this technology to create the best sword."

"Chakra metal... technology..." the blacksmith looked confused.

He was a traditional blacksmith, not very familiar with complex technology. "I don't know, young man. I'm just an ordinary blacksmith. But if you have enough will, maybe your ambition can come true."

"Besides that, Master," Tsubasa continued, "I also have another ambitious plan. I want to create a sword that can respond to its user's soul, like in legends."

"A sword with a soul... legends..." the blacksmith shook his head. "You are a young man full of strange ideas. But... your ideas are interesting. I'm curious, are you really able to realize your ambition?"

Tsubasa smiled confidently. "I certainly can, master. With the knowledge I learn from you, as well as technology, and perseverance, nothing is impossible."

"In that case, keep trying, young man," said the blacksmith, patting Tsubasa's shoulder.

"I hope I can see your dream sword before I leave this world," the blacksmith thought.

Tsubasa returned to practicing forging swords with even more enthusiasm.

He not only wanted to make the strongest sword for himself, but also to give to his subordinates who had served him well.

The source of this c𝓸ntent is frёeweɓηovel.coɱ.

Also to give to kenjutsu specialist clans that might join his ninja village in the future.

"I have to find a ninja clan that is famous for its swordsmanship," he murmured. "A legendary samurai clan... or a mysterious sword ninja clan... like the Hatake clan."

The idea to travel all over the ninja world, which had once crossed his mind, reappeared.

"It's time to carry out that plan," Tsubasa thought.

---

That morning, in front of the village gates, Tsubasa and his team had gathered. Ozora, Kyoya, Benkei, and Ginga looked eager to welcome this new adventure.

Hotaru, Ayame, and Madoka, wives of Kyoya, Benkei, and Ginga, came to see their husbands off.

Their children, Kotarou, Seiya, and Yumi, also joined in, although with slightly gloomy faces because they had to be separated from their fathers.

"Father, souvenirs, okay!" little Kotarou called out, waving his hand.

"Of course, champ," Kyoya replied, ruffling his son's hair. "Father will bring back the best katana sword souvenir for you."

"Seiya wants souvenirs too!" Seiya chimed in excitedly.

"Father will bring back a souvenir as big as a bear for you, Seiya!" Benkei said, laughing.

"Yumi wants a doll!" Yumi's turn to exclaim, her eyes sparkling.

"The most beautiful doll in the entire ninja world for Father's princess," Ginga promised, kissing Yumi's cheek.

Ozora and Tsubasa just smiled at the warm interaction of the small family.

Rui, who also came to see Ozora off, looked shy beside her lover.

"Take care of yourself, Ozora-san," whispered Rui with a blushing face.

"Definitely, Rui," Ozora replied, holding Rui's hand tightly. "I'll be back soon."

Tsubasa cleared his throat softly, breaking the romantic atmosphere. "Alright, everyone, let's depart now," Tsubasa called out. "A long journey awaits us."

With firm steps, Tsubasa and his team left the village, starting their adventure around the ninja world. A spring breeze blew gently, as if encouraging them on their journey.
