A police line was set up, and the officers were there to maintain the rules. People in white coats were taking evidence. The background was blurry but Jiang Cheng immediately recognised it as Ping An Apartments.

Chu Jiu frowned, but before she could say anything, Wan Xiaoning cut in, “We’ve compared this with the women harassed by Lee Maoshen. They received the scary videos on the morning of July 19, and they called the police the next day.”

“So, this woman killed herself after the police visited her,” Jiang Cheng lifted his head to say. The woman probably found out everything from the police and saw the ‘scary’ videos. That was how she figured out what Lee Maoshen was doing. There was no ghost. The real ghost… was by her side. The woman was too wounded to handle this truth, so she jumped out the window.

Banana Wolf tried to get her to calm down and explained, “Based on our investigation, the police didn’t find any evidence that Lee Maoshen murdered the woman. After the police found her and before she killed herself, Lee Maoshen hadn’t come home.”

“You don’t need to be home to kill people.” Chu Jiu countered loudly, “Maybe he threatened or forced her over the phone. With a hand on Chu Jiu’s head, Jiang Cheng said calmly, “They are dead. Plus, the police would have discovered what we did.”
