Chapter 237 - 237: The Black Crow Sets Sail
This night.
Hot.
Fusion.
Crazy.
The collision and fusion of bodies—
This was how Mio felt after last night.
When morning came, Mio walked out of the room with a faint smile on his face. It was clear he was in a good mood.
But that was all.
Leaving the castle, Mio arrived at the shore of Crow Island. Looking at the Black Glory anchored before him, the corners of his mouth lifted. "It's time to set off."
"Captain, are we finally going to continue sailing?" Robin's voice sounded as she walked slowly from behind. Hearing Mio's words, she couldn't help but smile.
Then, her eyes drifted toward the strawberry mark on Mio's neck. Her expression turned strange for a moment as if she thought of something, and a faint blush crept onto her face before she quickly looked away.
Mio noticed Robin's gaze but didn't offer any explanation. He simply nodded with a soft smile. "Yes. It's time to continue sailing. There are still many things waiting for me to do."
"Then I'll go call Mashi and the others," Robin said happily. As a young girl, she wasn't fond of staying idle on an island. She had little interest in endless food and drink.
Sailing was far more exciting to her.
Watching Robin trot off, Mio chuckled and then leapt onto the deck of the Black Glory with a wave.
Hei'er landed lightly on his shoulder.
Stroking Hei'er's feathers, Mio said softly, "You'll be staying on Crow Island for now. Guard this place well, understand?"
Hei'er let out a sharp whistle to show understanding and rubbed against Mio's cheek before spreading his wings and soaring over Crow Island. A chorus of caws echoed across the island in response.
The crows were answering the call—
Answering their king.
...
A quarter of an hour later.
On the deck of the Black Glory—
The entire crew had assembled.
Warwick, Erica, Lilith, Mashi, Baifeng, Robin, Hei Yan, and Hanba beneath the sea.
Mio sat cross-legged on the bow, his gaze fixed on Araki and Olive standing ashore. He gave calm orders. "I may leave the New World for a while. If anything urgent happens, report to Hei'er. He'll handle it."
"And also..."
He took out a Den Den Mushi and tossed it to Olive. "This one contacts Qiongqi. Don't use it unless absolutely necessary. But if someone strong does appear, let Qiongqi take care of it."
"Yes, Captain," Olive and Araki answered respectfully.
Both of them knew just how powerful Hei'er and Qiongqi were.
They stood at the top of the New World hierarchy.
With these two guarding the territory, even without Mio, the stability of the Black Crow Sea could be maintained.
Even the Black Crow Territory itself would be safe.
Even if someone like Kaido came, they would not be afraid.
"Alright. Don't contact me unless it's something serious," Mio added as a final reminder. Then, turning to Bai Feng, he instructed, "Let's set sail."
"Yes, Captain."
Bai Feng responded, hoisted the sails, and set the course.
Hanba dived into the ocean and, as usual, towed the Black Glory swiftly in the direction Bai Feng indicated.
The Black Glory—now a renowned ship in the New World—began its voyage, moving away from Crow Island toward an unknown destination.
The sun shone brightly. The warmth of the rays made everyone feel at ease.
Robin held a bottle of juice and asked curiously, "Captain, where are we going next?"
"An island few have heard of," Mio replied lazily, lounging in a chair with sunglasses on and hands behind his head. "Shengdu Island. You probably haven't heard of it."
"I haven't," Robin nodded after thinking for a moment.
Indeed, there was no such island in her memory. It had to be a remote, uninhabited island.
Crow Island wasn't extremely far from Shengdu Island, but it wasn't close either. It would take at least two days to reach.
Before leaving the New World, Mio intended to retrieve the permanent pointer Roger had left on Shengdu Island.
His arrival in this world could have caused unforeseen butterfly effects, so it was best to secure it early.
After all, this was a valuable item.
Not everyone was like Luffy, who had no use for such things.
If word of a permanent pointer to Raftel leaked out, the entire New World would erupt into chaos.
"But things are better now than before," Mio murmured to himself.
Now, he had the time to develop his power at his own pace. Though he had time before, he had to establish a strong foothold in the New World first.
Because in this sea, position meant strength.
With a high position, others became cautious—less likely to provoke.
Just like now, the Black Crow's status was stabilized.
The only ones who might still come for him were the other competitors aiming for the title of Emperor.
Other than that, no one would dare disturb Black Crow.
Not even the Navy.
Not even the World Government.
Unless they were truly confident they could take Mio down.
Now, he could focus entirely on growing stronger.
The Black Glory sailed on—
Leaving the Black Crow Sea behind.
A day passed.
Some were reading, others drinking, a few training.
In the distance, a pirate ship sailed toward them. But when the enemy captain saw the flag fluttering atop the Black Glory, terror instantly appeared on his face.
"Turn! Turn around now!! That's the Black Crow Pirates—RUN!!"
The ship turned at full speed and fled the opposite direction without hesitation.
Such was the power of Black Crow's name in the New World now.
Mio sat at the bow, bored, drinking and fishing.
It was how he passed the time.
But suddenly—
Mio's brows furrowed slightly.
"It's rude to come aboard someone else's ship without saying hello, don't you think?" he said coldly.
As soon as the words fell, he turned toward a shadowy corner of the ship. Killing intent surged.
"You're right. I apologize for that. My identity is sensitive right now. To avoid being tracked by the World Government, I had no choice."
From the shadows stepped a cloaked figure in green. He bowed politely to Mio, his tone sincere.
"What a rare guest," Mio said calmly. "Monkey D. Dragon."
It was him—
The man who founded the Revolutionary Army.
The man the World Government considered one of their greatest enemies.
And now, for some reason, Dragon had come to Mio's ship.
