Chapter 150 - Yamato!

In Ebisu Town, inside a worn-down house, Roya sat on the relatively clean wooden floor. He frowned slightly, looking around the drafty room.

The house's owner, Old Kang, kept apologizing. "Please excuse the state of my humble home."

"It's fine," Roya replied, shaking his head.

He wasn't bothered by the house. As Shimotsuki Yasuie's home, it was considered good in this poor town; other houses were far worse.

It's just so sad. Roya thought. The once-great Shimotsuki Clan had fallen so low.

Old Kang knelt across from Roya, examining the Rain Cutter with a nostalgic and somber look. "This sword... it was indeed made by Kozaburo."

About fifty years ago, Shimotsuki Kozaburo secretly left Wano. He was only 20 then, and he and Old Kang were cousins.

He never imagined his cousin Kozaburo would leave before him.

Solemnly, Old Kang returned the sword to Roya. "You're going to Onigashima, aren't you?"

"That's right," Roya confirmed with a nod.

The village was full of impoverished people with little knowledge of the world. Even with the promise of money, few could tell him exactly where Onigashima was.

Finally, Shimotsuki Yasuie, known as Old Kang, brought him home. Besides knowing the way to Onigashima, Shimotsuki Yasuie was very interested in his sword.

And that's how things ended up here.

Old Kang perked up. "I can take you to Hattori Port. If you sail southwest from there for half a day, you should reach Onigashima."

"Then I'll be in your debt," Roya said, pulling out a bag full of gold.

Wano was isolated, and their money, "Belly," was useless. Gold was the real currency. "This is your reward."

Old Kang looked flustered, trying to give the bag back.

Roya waved his hand. "Don't refuse. If you think it's too much, share it with the people here."

"Thank you so much!" Old Kang said with a wry smile. People in Ebisu Town starved every year. This money would help them survive until the Fire Festival.

Roya stood, urging him, "Time is short, and I need to hurry."

"Okay, okay!"

---

Half a day later, a small boat followed the river to Hattori Port. Old Kang didn't dare get too close; Orochi's men guarded the area. Instead, he led Roya to a small path along the coast.

"Onigashima is that way!" Old Kang pointed. The sea to Onigashima was dangerous; you couldn't reach it in a small boat.

This was as far as he could take Roya.

"It's enough," Roya said, making a rough estimate. He jumped into the sea. Using Moon Walk for such a distance would tire him out. Swimming was easier.

Old Kang watched Roya dive in and disappear, stunned. He hadn't seen such a powerful outsider in a long time.

But... he thought, "Kaido isn't so easy to beat!"

Old Kang didn't know if Roya aimed to defeat Kaido. If so, he could only hope Roya would escape.

---

Three days later, in Amigasa Village, Ace was learning to weave straw hats from the villagers. He learned why only the elderly and weak remained.

"The young women and children have all been captured?" Ace asked.

"Yes," Tama said, biting her lip. She was too young and barely escaped.

"It's not just Amigasa Village; other villages are the same. Every year, Orochi captures many people and sends them to Onigashima. No one ever returns."

"Then I'll go save them!" Ace declared. He'd planned to find Kaido anyway, so he might as well save the people too.

The Spade Pirates quickly set sail.

---

Half a day later, Onigashima came into view.

"Deuce!" Ace grinned. "I'll draw their attention. You guys find the hostages."

"Understood!" the crew shouted.

As the pirate ship approached, a burst of fire exploded before the eyes of the guards on the shore.

"Fire Fist!"

"Boom!!!"

The port exploded!

"Enemy attack!!!" The alarm echoed across the island.

Above Onigashima, Roya sat on the giant skull's horn, holding a wine bottle, looking down at the chaos.

The kid's finally here.

"I should get moving, too," Roya said, standing. He took a step forward, falling. As he reached the skull's eye socket, he rapidly stepped, using Moon Walk to fly into the Skull Castle.

Roya closed his eyes. Observation Haki, activate!

"Third floor."

With the main forces gone, the garrison on Onigashima was small, and security was lax.

Three days were enough to learn the layout of Onigashima.

Battle roared in the first-floor square, amidst burning fires.

Roya kicked off the air, quickly reaching the third floor.

"Intruder!" Several pirates spotted Roya and charged. It was clear from his clothes that he was an intruder.

"Shave!"

Roya became a streak of light, flashing past the pirates. They spurted blood and collapsed behind him.

The entire process took less than a second.

Roya sheathed the Rain Cutter and walked toward his target. The other person was also heading his way, probably to reach the battle downstairs.

Soon, they met in a corridor.

White hair, pink horns, and a wolf fang club--it had to be her.

Kaido's daughter, Yamato!

Yamato stopped, feeling pressure from Roya. "Who are you?!"

"My name is Roya." He smiled, giving his name, then asked, "What's your name?"

"Me? I'm Yamato!" She gave her name out of courtesy and asked, "You're with the guys causing trouble below, right?"

"You could say that." Roya stroked his chin. Once Ace became a Warlord, they could be considered allies.

Yamato coldly advised, "My father and the officers are away. There isn't a single officer here now. You should leave as soon as possible!"

She just wanted to drive them away.

This is my home, she thought. If it's destroyed, it will be a lot of trouble, and rebuilding it will cost a lot of manpower and resources.

"Thanks for the reminder." Roya smiled wider. This girl was nice. Even though they were intruders, she wanted them to leave.

"I'm different from those below. I'm not here to challenge your father, nor cause trouble. I'm here to find you, Yamato."

"Find me?" Yamato was stunned. What does he want with me?

"That's right, find you." Roya's eyes shone.

"I've heard about you, and I plan to take you away from this island, away from your father. What do you say? Do you want to come with me?"

"Huh?!" Yamato froze, her head full of question marks.

Wh-wh-what... what's going on?!
