One Piece: I'm Destined to Be the Son-in-Law King!-Chapter 213: Dragon? A Coward!
Chapter 213 - Dragon? A Coward!
The table overflowed with delicious, carefully made food.
Yamato happily stuffed her mouth, food flying everywhere.
"Roya, it's super yummy!" she exclaimed.
"Slow down, don't rush," Roya chuckled.
He picked up a napkin, gently wiping the bits of food from her face.
Sanji's cooking was truly amazing, a world away from the bland food in the Marine cafeteria.
Fullbody, having returned to his own table, resumed his attempts to woo the ladies. This time, the beautiful woman seemed much more interested.
Even though he had embarrassed himself earlier, showing Roya respect had impressed her.
Jango, too, was getting attention. People were surprised that this strangely dressed man was also a Lieutenant Colonel.
"Uta..." Roya muttered, eating his Seafood Fried Rice, thinking about how to find Uta. The best place to start was the Country of Music.
But the Country of Music had been gone for ten years. Getting information in this world was hard.
He couldn't just ask Shanks, her dad, could he?
"Creak..."
The restaurant door swung open. A beauty stepped inside, immediately drawing all eyes.
This time, though, most people were admiring her beauty. Only a few recognized her.
Fullbody's face turned pale.
He was just here for a date, about to take the girl home. Why did the Revolutionary Army have to show up now?
He glanced at Roya, and only when he saw that Roya was calmly eating, did he relax a little.
If Roya wasn't worried, then neither should he.
Betty sat by the window, her long legs in red boots propped up on the table. Her fiery attitude made the other customers uneasy.
She looked at Roya, adjusted her glasses, and a small smile appeared on her lips.
She seemed stronger than before.
Roya glanced back at Betty.
Of course, she was here for him. Was she worried?
A few minutes later, Yamato patted her stomach, a satisfied look on her face.
"Roya, I'm stuffed!"
"Good."
Roya called the waiter to pay the bill, and he and Yamato left.
---
Half an hour later.
A warship with a dragon's head was approaching the Frost Wolf Mini ship.
Betty stood on the warship's deck, surrounded by important members of the Revolutionary Army. The man in the center had crossed tattoos on his face.
It was Dragon!
They weren't here for a friendly visit!
Yamato sensed the Revolutionary Army's hostility and nervously leaned closer to Roya. "Roya, it looks like they're here for us."
"Yeah, wait for me."
Roya jumped onto the warship's deck, looking directly at the big shots of the Revolutionary Army, raising a hand in greeting.
"Good afternoon, everyone in the Revolutionary Army."
"Black Hair!"
Apart from Dragon and Betty, the other members of the Revolutionary Army seemed nervous. The man in front of them had a scary reputation.
Dragon stepped forward, his face serious.
"Black Hair, I need to talk to you!"
"Dragon."
Roya stared at Dragon.
"Let's talk on my ship; I don't trust you guys."
"Alright!"
Inside the Frost Wolf Mini ship, in the lounge.
Roya sat on the sofa, facing Dragon. "What do you want from me? We don't have anything to talk about, do we?"
"Black Hair."
Dragon clasped his hands together, his voice deep. "How much does the Marine actually know about our plans?"
"Absolutely nothing."
Roya shrugged.
For a long time, the World Government has used CP departments, especially CP9, to fight against the Revolutionary Army. The Revolutionary Army works secretly, never fighting the World Government directly. So, the Marine 's larger forces can't be used as effectively. The CP departments, which specialize in sneaky tactics, are more useful.
Even CP0 gets involved sometimes.
"Are you happy with that answer?"
"..."
Dragon was silent.
He wouldn't be here in East Blue if he wasn't worried. The lives of thousands of soldiers were at stake, and he couldn't take any chances.
Normally, Black Hair would tell his superiors everything, there's no reason for him to keep secrets for the Revolutionary Army.
"Why?"
"I'm on vacation. I don't want any trouble."
"I don't believe you."
"Yeah, I don't believe it either."
Roya sighed, a bit annoyed.
They were on opposite sides, so it was hard to trust each other. No matter what he said, they would still suspect him.
Once someone suspects you, it's hard to change their mind.
He couldn't exactly tell them that he also wanted to overthrow the World Government and was hoping the Revolutionary Army would make things difficult, could he? If word got out, how could he keep working in the Marine?
Roya thought for a moment. "How about this? You do me a favor, and I'll pretend I never met you."
"..."
Dragon seemed a little relieved.
"What is it?"
"I want to find the Country of Music. It was destroyed about ten years ago. Can you help me find it?"
Roya thought about it. This was the only thing he could ask the Revolutionary Army to do. He could handle everything else himself.
As for going to Sky Island, he wasn't in a hurry. Vegapunk's research would take a long time, and there was no need to rush.
Dragon's face darkened.
This favor seemed too easy, making him uneasy.
Roya saw Dragon's worries and said, "Dragon, you used to be a Marine. Now that you're the boss of the Revolutionary Army, you've become a coward."
"Let me make it clear: I don't want to cause trouble for you. Even if you kill the Celestial Dragons, I don't care."
"Got it?"
"Speaking of which, isn't your Revolutionary Army too weak? I heard about Ginny, the former East Army Captain. Did you ever think about attacking the Holy Land to rescue her? Or even kidnapping a Celestial Dragon and trading them for her?"
"What's more important than that?"
"And Kuma. I saw him at Vegapunk's Research Institute. He's working with Vegapunk on cyborg experiments, and he won't be coming back. Do you really think the World Government will let him go?"
"No way? No way?"
"Tsk tsk tsk, the way you're doing things, it's like you're not even trying."
"Heh~tui!"
Roya spat, continuing to mock him.
"Do you know why I don't care about your actions? All you do is overthrow a few countries. What's the point? Things will just go back to the way they were."
"Isn't the Revolutionary Army's goal to overthrow the Celestial Dragons? How come I've never heard of you attacking them?"
"Lack of funds? Rob the Celestial Tribute!"
"Overthrowing a country is nothing to the Celestial Dragons, but if you rob the Celestial Tribute, they'll go crazy!"
"Heard of Doflamingo? He threatened the World Government by hijacking the Celestial Tribute and got the position of Seven Warlords of the Sea in return."
"Even the pirates are more courageous than you!"
"I really want to know, you're all in the Revolutionary Army, every single one of you is a death row convict. What are you still afraid of?"
"With your cowardly behavior, when will you ever do something big?"
"Can't you be more assertive!"
It felt good to insult people, it always did.
Roya felt much better now.
He knew the Revolutionary Army couldn't be as reckless as he said, but that didn't stop him from insulting them. He hated abandoning people for the sake of the "greater good."
He wanted the Revolutionary Army to be more radical, to the point where the Celestial Dragons would truly suffer.
Dragon's face was covered in cold sweat, and he looked at Roya like he was a madman, wondering about Roya's true identity.
Was this guy really a Marine?
Could he be a terrorist in disguise?
"How about I give you a hint?"
Roya rubbed his hands. "The World Conference is happening now. The royal families of various countries will be bringing the Celestial Tribute!"
"Go rob the Celestial Tribute and kill a few kings to make a statement!"
"I'll help you buy weapons!"
"Heard of the Golden City? Gild Tesoro is my brother, he sells weapons. If you don't want to deal with him, that's fine."
"You all know Kaido of the Four Emperors, right? He's my father-in-law, and his family makes weapons. I guarantee they can arm you to the teeth!"
"With money and weapons, the Revolutionary Army will become much stronger. Who would dare to underestimate you then?"
"Huh, Dragon, why aren't you saying anything?"
"Gulp!"
Dragon wiped his sweat.
He was now sure of one thing: Black Hair would never reveal the Revolutionary Army's plans to his superiors.
This guy is crazier than him!
