One Piece: Supreme Check-In System-Chapter 53: Law and Bepo Rescue
Chapter 53 - Law and Bepo Rescue
High above the ocean, in the heavenly spires of the Celestial Garden Castle, King Jessie sat quietly, overlooking the bustling kingdom below. Through the arched windows, he could see the endless labor of progress—seawalls rising strong, markets being shaped, ships being forged. The island hummed with activity, but Jessie felt a familiar sense of stillness settle around him.
"Another peaceful day," he murmured, resting his chin on his hand, a small sigh escaping his lips.
Suddenly, a den den mushi on his desk began to shake and let out a cheerful "bru bru bru." Its snail face perked up with a goofy smile. Jessie blinked, then reached forward and picked up the receiver.
"Yo, Captain! We're back!" came Vash's voice, loud and lively through the line.
Jessie's lips tugged into a rare smile. "Welcome back," he said simply, standing from his chair.
Truth be told, he was bored. Even in a kingdom of unlimited resources and godlike technology, ruling from above had its quiet moments. So, without hesitation, Jessie stepped out onto the open sky balcony.
With a flex of will and a spark of Haki, he flew down, a blur of wind and momentum as he descended from the heavens like a meteor, cape billowing behind him.
Down by the eastern shore of Voidreign, a sleek vessel came into view—one without any royal markings, bearing the familiar silhouettes of Vash, Meruem, and the ever-calm Black-Eye Panda.
The ship slowed to a graceful halt, its hull slicing through the waves like a blade.
Vash waved as Jessie approached. "Oi, Captain! You wouldn't believe the fun we had."
Jessie landed softly on the dock beside them, nodding with that calm, kingly composure. "I believe it. You always find chaos wherever you go."
Meruem gave a respectful nod, while Black-Eye Panda, as usual, said nothing—simply lounged at the edge of the deck, paw-deep in a bamboo basket.
Jessie glanced past them and noticed something unusual. Medical personnel bustled across the ship's deck, surrounding two unconscious figures. Doctors were already tending to their wounds, wrapping bandages, checking pulses, applying salves.
Jessie's brows furrowed. "Who did you bring?"
Vash stepped aside, wiping his pistols clean, the grin never leaving his face. "Honestly, no idea. We just saw 'em drifting out at sea. A white bear and some guy with a big sword. Figured we'd rescue 'em."
Jessie's eyes narrowed as he moved toward the injured.
He hopped aboard with a quiet grace, his boots barely making a sound as he approached the two patients. The first was a large, unconscious white polar bear, his body marked with light bruises, fur soaked with seawater. Curled beside him was a lean man with raven-black hair, pale skin, and a tattered coat revealing a prominent tattoo on his arm: Death.
Jessie's eyes surprised .
"I know this man," he said calmly. "This is Trafalgar D. Water Law... and the bear is his loyal crewmate, Bepo."
Even the nearby crewmembers—normally unfazed by Vash's antics—paused as the name hit their ears.
"Trafalgar Law? The Surgeon of Death?" one of them whispered.
"Didn't he fight Blackbeard at Winner Island?" another muttered.
Jessie knelt, inspecting the injuries. Law's body bore signs of intense battle—deep bruises, lacerations, and evidence of prolonged exposure to the sea. Bepo, while wounded, seemed less critically hurt but still in need of urgent care.
"Their battle with Blackbeard must've gone south," Jessie murmured. "To think they barely escaped with their lives..."
He reached into the void space of his system inventory
From within it, he retrieved two glimmering senzu beans
Jessie crushed one between his fingers and gently fed it to Bepo, then the other to Law.
The effects were near-instantaneous.
Bepo gasped, his eyes snapping open as color returned to his fur. His wounds vanished in a ripple of light. Law's body tensed as his breath returned, and the bruises faded like mist in the morning sun. He coughed, sitting up slowly, blinking in confusion.
"...Where...?" Law whispered, looking around.
Jessie stood, arms folded. "You're safe now. You're in the Voidreign Kingdom."
Law's eyes locked onto Jessie's face—and realization flickered in them.
he muttered. "You... saved us?"
Jessie simply nodded. "We picked you up drifting near our borders. You're lucky my men found you first—and not the World Government."
Law glanced at Bepo, who had already sprung up and clung to him in a tight hug. "Captain!"

Bepo sniffled. "I thought we were done for..."
Law reached out, gripping his crewmate's shoulder tightly. "You did well, Bepo. You got us away."
Jessie gave them space, turning back to Vash.
"You always manage to find trouble, don't you?"
Vash grinned. "Hey, I didn't cause it this time. I just cleaned it up."
Jessie nodded slowly. "I know. The World Government has eyes everywhere. They've been watching Voidreign for a while. I've sensed it."
He looked back to Law.
"Rest for now. When you're ready, we'll talk. If you're here... then the world is about to change again."
That night, Law and Bepo rested within the Celestial Garden's infirmary, their strength slowly returning under the kingdom's advanced medical tech. Outside, the stars shimmered over the sea, and a storm began to brew far in the horizon—both literal and political.
