Chapter 1655: Chapter 1454: Strange Rocks (Two in One)_3

Su Ran stopped wasting time and quickly walked toward the two women. He had a strange feeling that the Black Abyss Lake guardian wouldn’t give up so easily and would return sooner or later. When exactly it would happen, no one could say for sure.

"Boss, if I were the GM, what fun would there be in playing? Whatever I wanted, I’d get with a wave of my hand—way more outrageous than a private server. Ah, being a master is lonely..."

"Hey, why don’t you keep dreaming while you’re at it. Quit your nonsense and hurry up!"

Su Ran didn’t bother trading pointless banter with Banana and jogged over to Xue Wuqing’s side, asking, "How’s it going? Have you come up with a plan?"

"No. This rock is too solid. Xiao Wei is completely stuck as if she’s been cemented in place—we can’t free her at all."

Xue Wuqing’s expression was heavy with concern. She hadn’t anticipated Ling Wei being trapped in such a way, and it left her at a loss about what to do.

"Sister Wuqing, don’t worry about me. Quickly head up to the mountain top—maybe Luta knows how to unseal this!"

Ling Wei had already given up trying to struggle, letting the rock keep her locked in place and pinning all her hopes on the vital guardian.

"That idea might work, but what if the boss climbs the mountain after us?"

Xue Wuqing was reluctant to take risks. Ling Wei was just an NPC—if she died, she’d be dead for good. There couldn’t be even the slightest room for careless optimism. Yet, if they didn’t try, there was no way to rescue Ling Wei, leaving Xue Wuqing tangled in indecision and uncertainty about how to choose.

"Excuse me, but I’d like to ask something,"

Su Ran interrupted at this moment, his tone unusually serious. "With such a solid rock, how did you even manage to get inside?"

"Don’t bring it up; it’s annoying enough as it is. I’m not talking to you!"

Ling Wei snapped irritably, then promptly closed her eyes, unwilling to look at Su Ran’s gloating expression.

"Ling Wei, if you don’t explain the why and how, how are we supposed to rescue you? To solve the problem, we have to first find the cause!"

Banana declared solemnly, "When faced with problems, we should learn to confront them. Running away isn’t the right answer."

"Wow, Banana, since when did you become such a wise speaker?"

Su Ran turned to glance at Banana with surprise, somewhat doubting that such words had come out of him.

"Tch, my eloquence has always been excellent—you just failed to notice it until now."

Feeling slightly smug inside, Banana kept a calm and collected outward appearance.

"Since you guys want to know, I’ll tell you. Back then, I was flying erratically through the air when, out of nowhere, a chunk of rock appeared in front of me. I crashed headlong into it. The surface felt like it was melting; I slipped right in. By the time I realized what was happening, the rock had solidified."

Ling Wei couldn’t hide her frustration. She hadn’t bothered anyone, yet she ended up dealing with this mess—how vexing!

"So, you don’t know when exactly the rock appeared in front of you?"

Xue Wuqing’s eyes lit up. "Forget about the rock’s origins for now. It can melt, solidify, and has such a strong ability to trap enemies. This definitely isn’t some ordinary stone—it might actually be a treasure!"

"A treasure? A treasure that hasn’t even acknowledged its master but is already harming the master? That’s nothing but a cursed object!"

Banana walked closer out of curiosity. "This rock is so solid, but it can also melt? That’s just absurd. There’s absolutely no scientific basis for it!"

After sharing his opinion, he defied common sense and leaned forward to ram into the rock. He wanted to see for himself how this stone ’melts.’

Unfortunately, a truly awkward scene unfolded.

As soon as Banana collided with the rock, a strong suction force emerged from the rock’s surface. Before he even had a chance to react, he was pulled straight in, ending up like Ling Wei—with only his head sticking out of the rock.
