After inspecting the three Monsters and looking at the possible evolution pathways, John listed the resources to the trio.

"I got a Thundervine Root here. It will cost 11 Gold Essence Coins," a nearby stall owner quickly said upon hearing John mention a resource he had.

"Anyone got Ice Veined Lotus?!" the Gold-rank Tamer shouted.

"I got one!" A shout came from the 3rd row of the stalls shortly.

As the three Tamers scrambled away to get their resources, Aurelia and other audience waited nearby to watch.

Evolving three Pet Monsters successfully to King-rank potential? Hell yeah, they wanted to see that.

It wasn’t long before the trio returned with the resources one after another.

The Gold-rank Tamer took some time since he had to spend most of his savings to buy a King-rank resource, putting his faith into this mysterious Sage Kindred.

As he returned and saw the Sage preparing the resources, he clenched his fist. ’He will succeed...I’m sure.’

John had created some simple tools like grinders and mixers in Monster Paradise to prepare the resources, so he would take out the required tool while keeping physical contact so it wouldn’t disappear and put it back into Monster Paradise when he needed another tool.

It took him twenty minutes to prepare the resources, and the people just watched him silently while murmuring among themselves.

As soon as John was done, he fed the prepared resources to the Pets while infusing required Geno Points into them to direct their evolution.

Lo and behold, all three Pets soon turned into different-sized cocoons in front of everyone’s widening eyes.

"Fuck! He succeeded!"

"These patterns...he really evolved them successfully by feeding conflicting attributed resources! It’s like he knew the evolution recipe!"

"Holy shit! This person is a real Sage!"

John raised his hand as he spoke in a calm and crisp voice. "The Infernal Moltenic Mammoth will evolve and also rank up into a super rare Cryo Forged Vulcun Mammoth, a powerful King-rank Monster with attributes of Ice, Lava, and Crystal!"

"The Razor Fiend Peakcock will remain at Silver-rank, but will evolve into a Skylacer Galequill Peakcock with King-rank potential, having attributes of Wind and Metal!"

"And lastly, the Tempest Armored Mole will evolve into a Gold-rank Voltcrag Iron-Hide Mole, a King-rank potential Monster with Lightning and Metal attributes!"

Hearing him, a brief silence descended before a huge uproar ensued.

"And now, this Sage will take his leave. I might return or I might not, but you shall hear about me as I will roam and help the Tamers in need!"

After saying that, everyone suddenly saw him vanishing.

"He is leaving!"

"No, please wait!"

"I saw a dark streak going there!"

"It’s gone!"

And so, everyone could only look at each other in disappointment.

"He said he might not return..."

"Since he is going to roam and help other Tamers, we might encounter in the future!"

"Yeah, and he said he might return, so there’s still a chance!"

"Fuck, I am going to save Coins from now on and give them to the Sage when he returns in the future."

"Same. Instead of wasting coins on doing random experiments, I might as well save up and wait for Sage Kindred."

"I hope he returns soon..."

John left the city and entered Monster Paradise with no one looking.

Inside, the Monsters were having fun on the football field as usual, but it was now Prisoners versus Wardens, sponsored by Chuthulos.

Team Prisoners consisted of 11 Monsters that Chuthulos released from the cages.

On the other hand, Team Wardens consisted of all John’s Monsters and allies like Starry, her kids, Crocky the crocodile, Sony the snake, and Merc the Tigerfiend.

Barkhide Beetle, Becky, wasn’t interested in playing football, but she was a cute spectator and a quiet cheerleader of the team, waving colorful flowers with her four chromatic flower-themed mandibles and wings.

"Eh?" John blinked twice as he looked at Becky. "Why is she so different now?"

Inspecting Becky, John saw she had molted once and infused an attribute within her, evolving automatically!

"Wait, could it be because she is tending to that garden?" John muttered as he looked at the garden. He had planted many Bronze-rank and Silver-rank Seeds there, and they had also grown up a bit, not to mention the seeds he brought from Xhalthuun’s Shop that had fully grown.

Tumbud Star Seeds had fully grown into plants with colorful starry flowers, and it seems that Becky evolved after eating one of the five plants.

"Well, that’s a pleasant surprise." John chuckled.

He wasn’t in a hurry to return to the courtyard, so he arrived at the stadium and began watching, though his mind was wandering elsewhere.

’Now that I’ve pulled that stunt, Sage Kindred’s name will spread fast. As John Wicked, I can say that I encountered Sage Kindred who helped me evolve my Monsters when they saw the evolved version of Pymon and Rexion. Perfect.’

John’s eyes glinted. ’However, I can’t appear as Sage Kindred without preparation anymore. With what I’ve done today, Sage Kindred will attract the attention of big shots and Ouroboros Hall will be trying to inspect him.’

He had shown Umbral Drift twice already. And this skill was rare even among Darkness-type skills.

To operate as Sage Kindred, he would need a different way to escape mysteriously, even against high-ranking Tamers.

’I don’t have time right now, but once I learn that high-tier Monster Geno Art of 10-star difficulty...I’m sure it would give me a Geno Ability that’d allow me to escape smoothly. After all, it has Space and Gravity attributes, I should be able to teleport, right?’

John could only wander for now.

Fortunately, he didn’t have time to operate as Sage Kindred anymore as he had to focus on training, evolving his monsters, and training more until the competition that’d start in nine days.

John began feeling sleepy soon. Exhaustion was catching up again and he didn’t want to stop it anymore.

Leaving Monster Paradise, John returned to the courtyard and fell asleep on the grass outside and began snoring loudly within a minute.
