Even in a fast-paced battle, it usually takes five or six seconds because of the delay between the trainer's command and the Pokémon's execution.

However, Cain, thanks to telepathy, didn't face this delay.

"Camerupt, use Flame Burst on Skorupi!"

"Mightyena, use Bite!"

The Team Magma member was always a few seconds behind Cain in reacting.

Only after one of his Mightyena was defeated did he realize what was happening and issue commands.

Although he gave his orders before Cain's next set, the synergy between him and his Pokémon wasn't as strong.

Too many factors had to align: sufficient strength, multiple attack points, high poison infliction probability, and precise skill synergy.

Meeting all these conditions, Skorupi defeated the last Mightyena as well.

Cain needed to finish this battle quickly so he could go assist Steven.
